MISSION The St. Lawrence Center, the Catholic Church at the University of Kansas, forms those she encounters in the liturgical, moral, intellectual and spiritual traditions of the faith. Her deepest desire is to send out full and free disciples of Jesus Christ capable of the greatest vocations.

Affiliate
Affiliates support the St. Lawrence mission and its efforts to foster the search for meaning, the need for community, and the flourishing of students. Becoming an affiliate allows St. Lawrence to communicate with you and to invite you to opportunities to help us achieve these noble ends for yourself and others. Those who use St. Lawrence Center as their primary place of belonging, worship and stewardship are invited to become members. Affiliates are typically KU Faculty/Staff who might also belong to another church but wish to identify with the goals of the Center to benefit the KU experience for all.

Here’s what you will find at St. Lawrence. LITURGY AND MUSIC St. Lawrence opens dimensions of reality by faithfully and beautifully celebrating the story of salvation, mysteries of the faith, and a prayerful and sacramental encounter with God. GOOD COMPANY A campus ministry that fosters a sense of belonging and engages students in missionary discipleship. FOCUS Five missionaries with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students host bible studies and also engage students in missionary discipleship. FAITH FORMATION Opportunities abound in large and small groups for students to learn and apply the Catholic faith to the experience, relationships and learning that takes place at KU. DISCERNMENT Students are invited to experiences that explore their capacity to live fully and differently, and make a gift of themselves.

The Mass is the heart of St. Lawrence. Mass and Confession are offered at least once a day, every day! Come join us in the worship of God through the Sacraments.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
St. Lawrence will be a great partner to anyone who cares about the search for meaning, healthy communities, and student flourishing!
WHAT DOES INVOLVEMENT LOOK LIKE?
Affiliates are always welcome to center liturgies and to use our chapel and student center. You can even schedule meetings and events here! You will be invited to opportunities to meet students and engage them in meaningful conversations, and perhaps to mentor them or our student groups if you wish!
HOW CAN AFFILIATES ENGAGE?
You will be given a roster of other affiliates and the names of student formation opportunities and groups that you might consider attending. You can also ask our staff questions you have about the Catholic faith.
