December 2023 Dear Parents & Guardians: Greetings from Saint Joseph Academy! I hope this finds you doing well and staying healthy during these final weeks of 2023. I continue to be impressed with the level of commitment, passion, and care shown for our school by all stakeholders – students, parents, alumni, and the entire Brownsville community. We make every effort to provide a well-rounded and balanced middle and high school experience rooted in the Marist Catholic tradition, college-preparatory academics, robust athletic/extracurricular programming, and Christian Service—all while remaining affordable and accessible during these unstable economic times. In establishing the tuition rate for next year, Saint Joseph Academy worked hard to keep tuition affordable and the increase below the inflation rate. For the 2024-2025 school year, the Saint Joseph Academy Board of Directors has approved a tuition rate of $12,480.00 or $1,040.00 per month. This represents a 4.5% tuition increase, equaling $540 a year or $45 per month. Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year begins in May 2024. The Multi-Child Discount for each additional child enrolled at SJA will continue. The Multi-Child Discount is as follows: 1st child: $12,480 2nd child: $11,480 ($1,000 discount) 3rd child: $10,980 ($1,500 discount) Enrollment for NEW STUDENTS Enrollment for new students that have been accepted begins on Monday, January 8, 2024. The deadline to enroll your student is Friday, January 19, 2024. If you do not enroll by this date, your spot will no longer be guaranteed and students on the waitlist will be invited to enroll. The Registration Fee for new students is $650. More information on how to register will be emailed to you in the coming weeks. Tuition-Refund Policy (NEW) Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year begins in May 2024 and continues through April 2025. Should a family withdraw their student from Saint Joseph Academy before the 1st day of classes, the following percentage of tuition collected will be refunded: 100% refund if withdrawn before May 31, 2024 75% refund if withdrawn before June 28, 2024 50% refund if withdrawn before July 31, 2024 0% refund if withdrawn on August 1st or later Please note that all Registration Fees are non-refundable, and the Parent Commitment Fee is nonrefundable after August 1st. 1
