ROOTED IN FAITH LIVING IN LOVE Thanks to YOU St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church is Transforming Hearts and Community Through Jesus’ Love Stewardship 2027

STEWARDSHIP 2027

A Letter from the Rector Rooted in faith. Living in love. Looking faithfully toward the future. Dear Beloved Members and Friends of St. Gregory’s, Our 2027 Stewardship theme, “Rooted in Faith, Living in Love,” speaks beautifully to who we are as a parish and to the future God is calling us to build together. We are rooted in the worship, prayer, Scripture, sacraments, music, friendships, and traditions that have shaped generations of people at St. Gregory’s. Those roots give us strength. From them grows a living faith that reaches outward in compassion, welcome, service, and generosity.

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.” Ephesians 3:17

This has been a year of visible growth. Mother Mary Ellen Cassini and Father Christopher Harding have joined our clergy team, strengthening our pastoral life and expanding our ability to serve children, youth, families, and the wider parish. The Choir of St. Gregory’s has welcomed new voices. Our ministries continue to deepen, our formation opportunities continue to expand, and our outreach continues to touch lives throughout Boca Raton and well beyond it. At the same time, our long-range planning is helping us look carefully, prayerfully, and faithfully toward the years ahead. We are building on a strong foundation, investing in the people, ministries, music, facilities, and resources that will help St. Gregory’s flourish for the next generation. The plan will continue to evolve as needs, resources, and opportunities become clearer, but its direction is grounded in our mission and in our confidence that the Holy Spirit is still leading us forward. Every person is an important part of that future. Every prayer offered, every hour volunteered, every welcome extended, and every gift faithfully given strengthens this community. Stewardship is one of the ways we put our faith into action and make love visible. As you consider your 2027 pledge, I invite you to give prayerfully, joyfully, and generously. Together, rooted in Christ and living in love, we can continue transforming hearts and community through Jesus’ love. With Gratitude,

Reverend Andrew J. Sherman+ Rector, St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church

FAITH THAT TAKES ROOT

Growing in Grace. Living in Love.

Our shared life is strengthened through worship, formation, care, and fellowship. WORSHIP & MUSIC: ROOTED IN THE SACRED Worship is at the heart of our life together at St. Gregory’s. Through beautiful liturgy, the proclamation of the Gospel, the Eucharist, prayer, and sacred music, we are drawn more deeply into the presence of God and reminded who we are and whose we are. Our world-class music ministry, led by Tim Brumfield, Director of Music Ministry, Organist, and Choirmaster, enriches our worship in powerful and meaningful ways, while the members of the Choir of St. Gregory’s bring beauty and inspiration to our services through their glorious voices. Thanks to your support, our stewardship sustains the clergy, music program, worship leaders, technology, and sacred spaces that make these experiences possible. DISCIPLESHIP & FORMATION: DEEPENING FAITH FOR LIFE Faith is nurtured throughout a lifetime through learning, prayer, conversation, and practice. Bible studies, retreats, Coffee and Conversations, Beloved Community discussions, guest speakers, and offerings from the Center for Spiritual Formation invite us to explore Scripture, ask thoughtful questions, deepen relationships, and grow in Christ. These opportunities help us carry our faith beyond Sunday morning and into the relationships, decisions, and experiences of everyday life. CHILDREN, YOUTH, FAMILIES, AND YOUNG ADULTS: THRIVING IN FAITH St. Gregory’s thriving ministries for children, youth, young adults, and families are among our parish's greatest strengths. With Anita Sherman’s ongoing leadership, the addition of Father Christopher Harding, as well as the faithful work of our teachers, volunteers, staff, and lay leaders, these ministries continue to flourish. From Sunday School, Confirmation, and Youth Group to Canterbury Ministry and Rise & Shine, young people and families are finding meaningful ways to worship, learn, serve, build relationships, and deepen their faith. Your generosity helps make these vibrant ministries possible. PASTORAL CARE: LOVE AND COMPASSION IN ACTION Christian love becomes real when we care for one another. Father Andrew, Mother Mary Ellen Cassini, Father Christopher Harding, Father Emilio Rosolen, and Gena Vallee offer warm pastoral care, supported by dedicated lay Eucharistic visitors, Stephen Ministers, healing ministries, caring callers, the Daughters of the King, and many others. In times of celebration, illness, grief, transition, or need, St. Gregory’s is present with compassion, prayer, and practical care.

In St. Gregory's, we have found a loving community where we can grow spiritually, personally, and together. Most of all, we are grateful to have a safe space where we can come exactly as we are and still feel welcomed and cared for, as we walk alongside our St. Gregory's family. — Luisany Bolivar and Uzie Valencia

LOVE THAT REACHES OUT

Wide Open Hearts. Wide Open Doors. Rooted in Christ, we are called to carry His love into the community and the world.

MEALS WITH MEANING: NOURISHING MORE THAN A MEAL Serving more than 450 meals each week, Meals with Meaning is one of the clearest expressions of love in action at St. Gregory’s. Week after week, volunteers offer nourishing food and essential items, warm hospitality, dignity, practical support, and meaningful human connection to neighbors in need. As the cost of food, housing, and other essentials continues to rise, that need continues to grow. In 2026, St. Gregory’s was also honored to host the inaugural Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County event, bringing together more than 30 organizations to connect individuals with vital services, resources, and information. Together, these efforts reflect our commitment to seeing each person as a beloved child of God and responding with compassion, respect, and care.

COMMUNITY & INTERFAITH: BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS St. Gregory’s has long been a place where people come together in friendship, service, faith, and community. Recovery groups, Scouts, art classes, concerts, community gatherings, and other shared experiences bring people together in ways that strengthen connection, understanding, and a sense of belonging. We deeply value the strong, longstanding relationships we have built across faith traditions, including our ongoing partnerships with the Boca Raton Interfaith Clergy Association (BRICA) and the Boca Raton Interfaith Youth Association (BRIYA), and remain committed to them. Through these relationships with neighbors, community organizations, and other faith communities, St. Gregory’s continues to be a welcoming, generous presence in the heart of the city, creating space for people to gather, learn from one another, and grow in mutual respect and friendship.

GLOBAL MISSION: LOVE BEYOND OUR WALLS Our commitment to service reaches far beyond Boca Raton. Deeply rooted connections in Haiti and Madagascar help support education, nutrition, and opportunity for children and families. Through faithful partnerships and the generosity of parishioners, St. Gregory’s shares resources in ways that are practical, sustainable, and grounded in relationship.

A STRONG FUTURE, GROUNDED IN MISSION St. Gregory’s long-range plan looks ahead with confidence and care. It calls us to strengthen ministries, support the people who lead them, care wisely for our campus, sustain our signature worship and music, deepen engagement with families, and build the financial capacity needed for the years ahead. It is a living plan, shaped by discernment, opportunity, and the resources entrusted to us.

St. Gregory’s is my church home. In 2023, I walked into Harris Hall at St. Gregory’s for the 10 am church service as the sanctuary was being renovated. What attracted me most was the sincere, friendly, caring, and diverse people who welcomed me. I knew almost immediately that God had led me to my long-sought church home. Since then, I have grown to love and appreciate everything here, especially the commitment by the clergy to be an inclusive Beloved Community. Needless to say, the music is a touch of heaven.
