A CULTURE OF Philanthropy

This has been an incredible year of fundraising at St. Catherine’s Montessori. Our generous community of families, friends, and partners gave $207,908 to the SCM Annual Fund – a record high for our school. This outpouring of generosity demonstrates the trust our community has in the St. Catherine’s mission and our vision for how we can continue to grow as an exceptional Catholic Montessori institution. We are honored by the faith placed in us and pleased to share how your philanthropic support has made an immediate and sustained impact on the school.

With your Annual Fund giving, St. Catherine’s:

•hired two Montessorians to support our Primary and Elementary classrooms;

•provided executive AMI coaching for our Head of School;

•continued our annual program of professional development activities for employees;

•sponsored additional, AMI training for four administrators, one guide, and one assistant;

•will sponsor AMI training for one administrator, six guides, and two assistants in 2023-2024;

•has increased employee salaries and will launch an employer-matched retirement savings plan August 2023; and

•awarded a record $115,000 in tuition assistance for 2023-2024.

These are just a few examples of how contributions to the 2022-2023 SCM Annual Fund are enhancing the strength of our educational programs, improving compensation packages for our faculty and staff, and better meeting the financial needs of our families.

The 2023 SCM Gala, Raise the Roof for Japhet, raised an impressive $215,772 and brought the party spirit back to St. Catherine’s after a five-year hiatus from in-person galas. The creative vision and thoughtful dedication of Gala Chairs Mollie Pappas, Jennifer Wu, and Alison Young brought the community together for an unforgettable evening. The event raised the funds that will allow us to evolve our Japhet Campus to better serve the needs of our Adolescent Community, provide unique outdoor educational opportunities for our high school and Lower School students, and give our greater community at pastoral gathering place.

Fully integrating Japhet Campus into our students’ learning experience will be one of the significant steps St. Catherine’s takes in the next decade, and the gala’s success is what allows us to begin renovations and new construction this summer and anticipate completion in spring 2024. Thank you to the gala chairs, sponsors, underwriters, volunteers, and donors.

With our community’s generosity and support great things are happening at St. Catherine’s. We are excited to take this journey with you!

With sincere gratitude,

Lyndsey Ray
