During the Summer term of 2014 we will be further developing teaching and learning for our students in Hospitality as we increase the development of their individual skills and employability. Our restaurant facilities in PL1 are at the heart of this and the success of our Brasserie Express menu and more flexible dining offer has provided our students with increased challenges and new and exciting opportunities to stretch their potential . On both Wednesday and Thursday evenings students will be preparing the finest fresh, seasonal ingredients to offer you a fantastic choice of mouthwatering dishes in a relaxed restaurant environment. Open from 5.30 p.m. choose from our exciting menus designed to provide more choice and flexibility for our customers, with some interesting daily specials on the board! Our aim is always to provide our customers with excellent food and service and in so doing prepare our students for the next stage of their careers in the hospitality industry. Our team of student waiters will be able to answer any of your questions and whichever day of the week you join us, you will always find something you’ll love on our menus. Our Junior Chef Academy has been a great success in encouraging aspiring young chefs to join us for professional training and we hope to offer more classes in September, please ask for more information.

PL1 Junior Chef Academy We are pleased to offer a great opportunity for those between the ages of 14 and 16 who love cooking and want to develop their skills in the kitchen. For young people considering a career in catering, our Junior Chef Academy will whet the appetite for joining us in the future to commence professional chef training. Working with Chef Tutors in our state of the art training kitchens this nine week course will give potential young chefs a real flavour for creating interesting and mouthwatering dishes using meat, fish, vegetables and dessert and bread products. Our programme is both fun and enjoyable, encourages team work and builds confidence. Each course culminates in a Graduation event for invited guests and a chance to show off newly gained skills.
