Research on recent news stories and research, and interviews with 500 creative graduates from across the UK. The table shows the salary and employment status of graduates in creative industries.

As can be seen from the pie chart in Figure 1, most people found jobs by advertising and contacting the employer.
As shown in figure 2, starting salaries for advertising and design are on average, higher than those for other disciplines.

Most of the respondents got jobs within a year, but some still relied on support from parents and friends. It's a good way for advertising and design graduates to find jobs through previous contacts. Salaries for graduates in the creative industries range from £3,000 to £27,000. Even though graduates have taken courses related to their field of work, most of them still lack confidence.

Full-time graphic designers earn on average less than 26,000 pounds a year, less than other arts professions, according to government research.

From the bar chart in figure 3 we can see that only graphic design's annual income is lower than the UK average.

In creative industries, women earn between 3 and 18 percent less per hour than men, with graphic design making seven percent less. The comparison chart in Figure 4 shows that the number of male employees is higher than that of female employees, especially in web design. It follows that men have better prospects than women in creative industries.
