During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

Playing baseball for St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes since middle school has been the most fun I’ve had in my life. Getting to play with all my closest friends and gaining new friendships has always been a big goal of mine. Another big goal has been winning it all. While we have not completed that goal, we have been closer than ever, making states for the first time in almost 10 years and making the IAC final for the first time in a long time.

After I graduate I plan to...?

Continue my education at Auburn. I will be doing Air Force ROTC as well as playing club baseball.

AJ DEGLER

During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

The goal of making life long friends who will always be there for me. I have also learned a lot through baseball such as how to fail. Over the past four years we have had so many ups and downs as a team, however the fact the we remained constant in attitude throughout the time shows a lot about the true dynamic and commitment of our team.

After I graduate I plan to...?

After I graduation I plan to attend the University of Virginia where I want to enter the McIntire School of Commerce. I have played baseball all my life so this will definitely not be the end of my career. I plan to play in some capacity during my college days most likely in club baseball. This sport has taken me so far in life, from the lessons and the friends I can not thank baseball enough.

NICK FOSTER

AIDAN KOCH

During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

I have been a part of many different teams while at SSSAS and have had a bit of success on each team. Baseball is a team sport and I have tried my best to be a team player all four years. I am grateful to have been a part of the team that took 2nd in the IAC and was able to qualify for States. While on JV I couldn’t have asked for better coaches and teammates. The biggest impact baseball has had on me was that it taught me more about how to be a team player and how to lift up others around me.

After I graduate I plan to...?

Next year I will be attending the University of Tennessee to pursue Engineering instead of athletics. My favorite memories come from all the team trips I have been a part of and all of the big games that I have competed in. I have had some great memories with every team I have been a part of while at SSSAS that I will never forget. I wish he best of luck for everyone staying on the team next year and I can’t wait to see what you all do. Thank you coaches and teammates for these past four years.

MATTY LEONARDO

During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

I have created so many long-lasting relationships with my teammates over the past four years, and I wouldn’t trade anything for it. I have been able to create memories and experience the game of baseball at such a high level because of the support our team gives each other. My goal has always been to impact our team in a positive way in order to succeed on and off the field, and I hope that the underclassman can continue working hard and lifting each other up to continue that legacy. Thank you to my family for always supporting me.

After I graduate I plan to...?

After high school, I plan on going to Union College to play baseball. I will continue to work hard in the classroom and on the field, giving it my all day in and day out. I will not loose sight of what my time being around my teammates at St. Stephens has given me, and I will carry the lessons that I have learned with me throughout college and for the rest of my life.

OLIVER MILLER

During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

During my time here I have been a four year varsity starter helping to get the team to two state tournaments as well as the IAC finals for the first time is nearly two decades. I am beyond proud of the growth of the program since freshman year.

After I graduate I plan to...?

After I graduate, I plan to play college baseball at Case Western Reserve University. Having played in many meaningful games over the past four years, this sport has taught me how to compete at a high level especially in pressure situations. I’ve loved having the opportunity to play in and win high level baseball, however, the moments I will cherish the most happened off the field or had nothing to do with the actual games. I’ll never forget the Myrtle trips, long bus rides, and the overall camaraderie of the four different teams I’ve been apart of. It’s been an honor to be apart of the Saints baseball brotherhood.

JOHN MURPHY

During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

I have become a better player, competitor, teammate and leader.

After I graduate I plan to...?

Go to college.

ALEX SARGENT

During my time here at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes...

More than I realized I could. Beyond the success of making it to the IAC finals or qualifying for states I have been able become a better player, a better teammate, and a better leader. All of the time that I have been a part of this team has helped me to be a part of a team and a community that I never realized I could find.

After I graduate I plan to...?

Keep following baseball and finding my own path with continuing to play the sport. Even if I am not going to college to play baseball it has always been a part of my life and I will continue to carry on my love for the sport for the rest of my life. This sport has brought me closer to anybody I’ve played it with and I hope that will continue to be the case in the future.
