Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling provides the ability to prioritize stormwater infrastructure and drainage system maintenance, track water quality, predict potential food zones, reduce combined sewer overflows (CSOs) or sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) and illustrate the risk to commercial and residential areas. Now with online GIS, dynamic and interactive stormwater maps can be shared via tablets, smart phones, and browsers with the potential for users in the field to add data in real time. Bringing this information together is highly efficient, saves time, and brings great interpretive power to the user.
