Discharges may be caused by a number of reasons such as: line breaks, line defects, blockages, or intrusion of rainwater or groundwater into a sewer system. Sewer system rehabilitation and repair work is designed to eliminate sewer overflows and increase sewer capacity. Rehabilitation work may be accomplished using a number of techniques such as trenchless technology that are designed to repair lines, manholes, and laterals.
