SSR professionals offer a full range of engineering system designs and consulting services required by today’s complex facilities. Our team focuses on providing system solutions that are operationally flexible, efficient, and sustainable. Thanks to advancements in treatments and advanced therapy protocols, survival rates among cancer patients have been on the rise across the country. Consumer preferences and choice, along with healthcare reform, are driving cancer treatment facilities from the acute care setting to the outpatient environment at an accelerated rate, often placing imaging and treatment equipment in facilities traditionally not able to handle those loads. We are familiar with these and other trends shaping oncology care. Cancer patients often find themselves in unfamiliar and intimidating settings. Our design approach includes flexibility in system controls to cater to the care and treatment needs of patients. In addition to environmental comfort, we focus on providing patients with other options to make their treatment experience more comfortable, including lighting controls, Wi-Fi access, power connections, and staff communication. Our design approach is aimed to support multidisciplinary delivery of care models for patient care, involving nursing staff, physicians, surgeons, nutritionists, and radiologists working together to improve treatment protocols and outcomes.
