The Prayers of the People Confession and Absolution of Sin Presider

Almighty God,

People

we confess that we have sinned against you. We have forgotten God and neighbor, we have forsaken Creator and creature, we have fallen to greed, vainglory, and the misusing of your grace. For this we are truly sorry, and so we turn again to you. For the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us. Convert our heart, and humble our will, that we may treat with goodness all you have called good, honoring your presence in your works, until we behold you, face to face. Amen.

Invitation to Communion Presider

The Gifts of God for the People of God.

People

Thanks be to God. Healing

The Church’s Sacramental Ministry of Healing with the Laying on of Hands and Anointing with Prayer is offered today. If you would like to receive this ministry, make your way to the St. John’s Chapel after receiving Communion. Tell the Brother your name and briefly describe for whom or what you would have him pray. A Note about Holy Communion Please refrain from intinction (dipping the Bread into the Chalice). If you wish to abstain from receiving from the Chalice, remember that the Church catholic has always taught that the fullness of the Sacrament is received even when only one form is received. Please indicate to the Brother administering Bread at Holy Communion if you require a Gluten-Free host.
