THE SECRETS OF TIME MANAGEMENT
You probably think this article is going to be about time management, right? Well, guess what - it will not. Because, in my opinion, there is no such thing as time management; the underlying skill that transforms into it is self-discipline. Without that, we would not be able to plan our time and set priorities, which actually is time management. To help with this skill, the first thing one shall improve is self-discipline. However, it is not that easy, nor is it simple. Therefore, I will give you some manageable steps you can take to become better at self-discipline in regards to managing your time.

First things first, setSE y Tour goalsYOUR GOALS. How can you accomplish something you have not planned to do? By setting goals, you clarify what needs to be done, then you can see what needs to be put into your calendar and what activities need your time.
Regarding these activities, plan to do them in your most productive phase
. For some it might be early mornings, for others, it might be midnight, you probably know it the best. Plan to do the tasks that require a lot of effort, concentration and work in the time you are the most productive. This way, you will get things done and done in a nice, painless way (or at least with less resistance from your side).
YOUR MOST PRODUCTIVE PHASE
SplitSPLIT THE BIG TASKS INTO SMALLER . ONES. If you have a task that you know will take a lot of time and effort, it is hard to see the end of it; therefore, you do not even want to start it. There is very little motivation for you to start because you do not see the results and satisfaction in the foreseeable future. However, if there are smaller tasks that you can accomplish faster and the results of which you see sooner, you are more motivated to do them.
Now I would like to highlight the second most important thing after planning - doing what you have planned to do . We all usually have good intentions and great plans; however, too often there is no action following these plans. It might not be the most exciting thing, it might not be something you want to do, but if it is in your calendar - do it! This is the self-discipline I was talking about. And this is what will lead you to success in the long run.
YOU HAVE PLANNED TO DO DOING WHAT
Now, back to smaller things - try to automatize thAUTOMIZEe lessTHE importantLESS IMdecisionsPORTANT DECISIO .NS Humans make approximately 35 thousand decisions each day, and each of them takes some time and mental power. To devote your time and mental power to more important things, try to build habits that allow you to spend less time thinking about less important things. For example, set only one alarm signal and turn off the snooze option, as well as put your phone as far away from your bed as possible. This way, you will not have to decide whether you can sleep 5 minutes more. Another thing that helps to improve your mind's capacity and allows you to be more time-efficient is writing things downWRITING THINGS DOWN . Do you think you can properly concentrate on the seminar tasks if you are constantly thinking about what you will need to buy when you later go to the grocery store? Tomatoes, milk, bread… there was another thing... ahh, yes, cheese! So, where were we, which formula did I have to use here? Does not sound very productive, does it? Just writing down such things as your shopping list allows you to devote more mental energy to what is more important.
And lastly, if nothing helps, I have one last tip which you just have to try because it works. Try doing somethinDOING g for 5 minutesSOMETHING FOR 5 MINUTES . Do you have to write your next assignment? Great! Just try working on it for 5 minutes, even if you do not want to and do not feel like it, just try! The same as in physics, you need to overcome inertia, and then it will go smoothly. I wish you good luck and save some time for rest as well!
