Special thanks to
Morten Hansen, IT Committee and Kiryl Platonau, Alumni Committee and Luīze Marta Ustupa, Sports Committee and Toms Kristiāns Bičevskis, Kristiāna Anna Melberga, The Insider team of 2022, the 2022 SA Board, and, of course, Memers and Gossipers

Christmas is just around the corner, literally - if you look around the corner somewhere you will most likely find a Christmas tree. This also means that as of yesterday the first semester of this academic year has ended, at least for those with no re-exams… This has been a tough semester for all of us, so let this issue of The Insider be a (not so) early Christmas present for you!
If you want to read something that makes you find a deeper understanding of yourself, be sure to check out Morten’s article and take a look at SSE Riga from his point of view. Want to find out more about language? Kiryl has brought an interesting perspective on it which is inspired by a book - a must-read if you will. For a deeper and more cynical view of one’s life check out the first-ever written article by this year’s Editor-in-Chief! Finally, look no further for some practical information about the weekly practices provided at school and read your schoolmate’s thoughts on them!
As always, find out the newest information about our Alumni - they also have elected a new president, just like us! Also, check out some needed inspiration for your summer internship - SEB will be moving to new premises and they are looking forwards to welcoming those interested to work with them and enjoy the perks of the new office!
Do you need some last-minute inspiration for your Christmas dinner? Be sure to not miss out on the Finance Bro Recipes for some quick, easy, and cheap recipes that will fill your tummy. Furthermore, find out more about drinks one should try this winter and specifically which one is made for you!
In the spirit of all of the apps on your phone offering you some kind of a “look back at your 2022” make sure to check out the SSE Riga Wrapped and find out fun facts about your studies! Furthermore, read about your New Year’s predictions by the winter jacket you wear to find out your success at studies for the second semester (fingers crossed you pass everything)!
This year has changed a lot for most of us, so take this time to take a break, relax, and reflect on this year (even if you are already starting on the FE readings)! Happy Holidays and, hopefully, see you next year!
xoxo, The Insider
