Student Directed Classes Students may also apply for a Directed Study in place of an elective course. Students must present program objectives and a clear design and schedule to be eligible. Students will be assigned to an advisor to support the student with the design and implementation.
BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS-A PlAY BY NEIL SIMON: A portrait of the writer as a young teen in 1937 living with his family in a crowded, lower middleclass Brooklyn walk-up. Dreaming of baseball and girls, Eugene must cope with the mundane existence of his family life in Brooklyn: Teacher: Ariel Skolnick
DANCE TEAM: Lots of people have wanted a dance team at Schechter and here is their chance! Work as a team to choreograph routines. We will start off each class with stretching and strength exericses, then learn some new tricks. We will perform at an end of season recital. Open to all but dance background will be helpful Teacher: Sophie Berk
SPORTS STATISTICS: In the beginning of the semester each person will get the chance to estimate each teams record by the end of the year. This involves in depth thought and a lot of research.Teachers: Jacob Joseph, Ilan Sherman Kadish
