About Me! To me , Architecture is more than just buildings and cities, it is about understanding multiple notions of how things work. The entire concept of creating spaces is similar to a game, with realistic stakes and multiple players on the same team, with no opponent. I want to create spaces that act as catalysts for social change. Is it possible for a country as vibrant and diverse as India, with a massive population of more than 125 crores, to make design accessible to every individual, with the option of customisation? I’m just a curious person looking for answers and, occasionally questions.

Peace

Everyday life seems to deplete the freshness of life. We must free ourselves from the world that has captured us and be at peace with ourselves. We realize the importance of productive rest only when we feel trapped and need to experience everything around us. Due to the global lockdown, everyone is forced to stay home and get a break from daily life. The project aims to create a public space in the bustling center of a Warangal city that appears to have limited open interactive spaces. Deeven is a place where people can spend time alone or connect with their loved ones for comfort, privacy and Solitude.

Ground Floor Plan - Buffer is given right at the entrance so that it helps the people to get adapted to that place and also to get their essentials before entering. - market square and the recreational space on the either sides starts a pathway for the people - market square is located here , so that people rend to buy more at their initial time. becoz people are more active when they enter. - here there is an oat on the north , as it is an open space,it is placed on the north to reduce heat gain. - this , kind of informal seating, where people could sit and discuss for hours at the level of occupent comfort. - craft baazar is a kind of temporary structure, so it is semi open. north is more preferable.

Page Number : 10

RECREATIONAL SPACE

First Floor Plan First Floor Plan - The cultural center, is almost at the end of the site, as the people rembeber about the culture of Warangal more effectively. - There is a swing park and recreational center, when people were exiting the site, as it gives a refreshing feel while going. - The placement of exit, that is through the sovinier shop, is becoz it is near to the clock where they can collect their luggage and find their vehicle. - Winds comes from south west to north east in summer and vise versa in winter and all the spaces on the site located in that direction allows the wind flow efficiency. - The shadows of the built forms like ticket counters and clock rooms are used as a shade for semi open mini theatre and food court. - Food court is placed in the centre of the space, so that it is easily accessible - Gaming zone is kept over there, as it is an interactive space and also helps the people circulation.

Box of Crayons, the school has been designed for students at primary level. The Design of this school is paramount, to a productive learning environment. The major aim of this design was to have a co-learning surrounding for the children. The design creates a gradient of spaces. From Formal learning to breakout spaces. This site marks the most important part of the city and is accessible from the two edges. The Design caters to the basic needs of the children and aims to create a healthy environment.

Concept - Subtractive Form

LIGHT:

Location: no obstruction is around because it may cast too much shadow in the daytime. No shadows are casted on the site .

Windows: large windows with heads close to the ceiling are always desirable. Placed on north side as no glare to enter.

Orientation: this is mainly in regard to the sun path. The learning spaces are so sited that a minimum of 2 hours duration of penetration is obtained.

Sound: When regular form have fragments missing from their volumes , they can retain their identity if we perceive them as if they were whole and complete , these mutilated form are refered as subtractive forms . Location: school site is away from the busy road. At the same time, it also needs to keep a reasonable distance from the neighbourhood. The school is therefore should be placed distinct from the road junction to avoid sound.

Rooms: sound-absorbent surface can be used in order to change the sound characteristic of the space. The sound absorbent could not be placed on all the site so it is placed only where the external sounds are coming inside.

Air Quality:

Temperature:

Subtractive form - very generous - on the exterior an architectural will is confirmed - on the interior all functional needs are satisfied (light, penetration, continuity, circulation)

Page Number : 20

orientation : the most appropriate direction for setting the site with longest side in north south direction.may be with a small angle difference.

Layout: the sensitive space can be carefully separated from the intruding noise. Here all the classes and other entities have more buffer so no intruding noises comes in and also the corridors become interactive.

Building layout: links to the building shape, which heavily affects the heat gains and losses, as the exchange between the outside and the envelope is directly proportional to the surface area.

Orientation: this is mainly in regard to the prevailing wind. It can be either desirable or unwanted. With careful design, as much wind as possible can either be received or diverted.here the water body is the south west so that air should be filtered, so trees are planted.

PRIMARY SCHOOL DESIGN

Components of the school:

Roof design:

view The roof has glazing glass so that light could pass through it. And also a supplementary roof of angle 5 degrees in that direction so hot air flows out of the building and does not enter again into the school due to wind direction. As there are classes even in the first floor , even handicapped kids also should be educated , so there is a ramp cum staircase over here and also have an activity space where then can play and also wait for their parents at pick and drop point.

This is a multipurpose used space with a staircase to the level 2 and an OAT combined in level 2. also this stage of OAT creates a visual balance and also an open space corridor.

Roof plan

Material Used: Rough Concrete

Roof section

Edge Flooring in level 1

This is the assembly and Yoga space. this is located at the entrace in ground floor. as assembly space is used only once in a day , this space can be used as yoga and meditation space and also this is a restricted space for a certain thing but it could be used for anything.

The classroom is well equipped with air and light . this voids could not get the air inside but coming to gusty with a gusty wind control barrier is made of timber helps to protect the class from dust if needed.

This is the flooring in first floor , as ground floor is covered from the top although open from all the sides. To give it the ample amount of light, the floor has this kind of holes with symbolism something, like it could be letters , numbers and geometry etc. so that the reflections also fall as same , so that kids could even learn something from shades and shadows. A protected glass frame is kept so that drain water does not drain down. These magnetic plates help in generating a little amount of hydro energy which can be used to lit lights in rainy season. Also the mirrors on the 3 sides refract light from water and form rainbow colours on the wall which are kids all time favorite.

The play area under the stairs has a sand pit with 2 stairs to get down and play, this extra depth is created in order to allow someone inside the sandpit to instruct them.

The closed oat staircase is always a boring thing for kids. Voids always allows light , ventilation and more over adds a great visibility factor to kids, which creates a sense of freedom for kids.

In the case of season other than rainy the light directly falls on the mirrors on the 3 sides and creates a wavy design on the walls.

The young workforce is preferring to stay outside the cities for clean and noise free environment and improve their health and social life. People visit many holiday homes, farm houses and weekend getaways in and outside the city. But in a post pandemic environment, the way we perceive these homes are quite different in terms of the duration we spend, type of social activities, provision of working spaces etc. Accordingly, there is a need to imagine and design a place to stay and work in line with the needs of a new age Indian with a perception of change.

We will not have enough resources, food, or vehicles to travel by 2050. So comes the sci-fi world, complete with a plethora of technologies that are vastly different from the way we live now. So, if everything is changing, Why not buildings? We, a team of three, designed a sci-fi building for the future that incorporates a variety of design technologies. which will also compete with the buildings in 2050

SKYLINE DESIGN

The main core provides support for the Services within it, as well as helping to cove the core lifts and acting as vertical circulation cores for the skyline.

The Voronoi here aids in the circulation and alignment of the modular blocks of the build form, which aids in the arrangement of the spaces within the building. This also creates a pleasant ambiance around the modules and aids in the reduction of harmful UV rays.

The Modular blocks are assembled to form a flowing structure. They move in accordance with their intended purpose and in accordance with the passage of time. The type of office or mixed use it is used for is defined by its purpose. These blocks also move according to time, reducing the building's total heat gain throughout the day.

All of the Ducts and Shafts have their own core that transports them to all of the floors. It improves the functionality of the building.

This is a Pavillion and Restro which keeps the people engaged. This also could be used by the people who work and stay in this MegLave.

This is the Hyperloop which could be used as means of Transport by 2050

There is a need to revisit our healthcare systems in rural areas to be able to manage major health catastrophes while also addressing the enhancement of quality of life. While the infrastructure has improved since the implementation of the National Rural Health Mission, and other programs brought in by the government, the Primary Healthcare Centres, Sub-Centres and Community Healthcare Centres are not in a position yet to adequately tackle the challenges.

As an architecture student we work on many different studio programs such as housing, commercials, healthcare , urban topics & many other design categories. Over the course of these 5 years, each student approximately pin’s up his/her work for approximately more than 50 times for juries & viva. Doing pin-up is a tedious task, one needs to visualize the composition of sheets , its size & sequence , placement of model and the arrangement of sheets on the board such that the work looks appealing to the juror.

PORTFOLIO | SRUTHI TUMMALAPALLI Ceiling is made of Sound Absorbant to give a peaceful space for jury

The False Ceiling is made of Plaster of Paris which is easy to fix and for lighting fixtures

LED Lights are fixed for every 1M Radius to give it the correct LUX Levels to give a Jury.

Cardboard Panels are arranged in the space so that, they can be moved easily for the panel boards Walls are made of Brick and An Insulation Material is placed above it

Tiles are placed on floor which are Non-Slippery, so people could run with their sheets in the last minute of jury. Glass Facades are given for Lighting also doors are of glass , so has visual connectivity. Vegetation and Landscaping could be a good vibe changer of any space

The Project Base

Offset to the space minimizes the sounds from outside
