FAFSA Completion Day | Oct. 27, 2022
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened on Saturday, Oct 1st. This form is used to apply for financial aid for college going students. Students can qualify for grants, scholarships, and loans by filling this out. We will be hosting a FAFSA completion night on Oct 27th during conferences from 3-7pm. Iowa Central Community College is assisting families in filling out this form. Students do not need to be going to Iowa Central in the fall to get this help. This help is completely free in hopes we can get as many students and families to complete their FAFSA. Completing the FAFSA is one of the biggest indicators a student will attend college after high school.
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our first Parent Workshop. We had great feedback and participation from those who attended. We believe open communication and involvement in the Parent Workshops are an important step towards real understanding and honest dialogue.
We are asking families to make a 30 minute appointment by picking a time slot through SignUp Genius (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e45ada722a3fdc70 -fafsa). Iowa Central wants to make sure they send enough help to assist everyone in completing their FAFSA form. Please bring your students' school laptop to this appointment!
