The best way to prevent flu and its potentially serious complications is by getting a yearly flu vaccine. Even when flu vaccination does not prevent illness entirely, it has been shown in several studies to reduce severity of illness in people who get vaccinated but still get sick.
We will be offering a flu shot clinic on 9/26/2023 for our residents/tenants and employees. For families that assist our residents and tenants with decision making regarding their healthcare, you will be receiving information to formulate a consent or denial for your loved one to receive the vaccine We encourage all residents/tenants and employees to get the vaccine unless contraindicated by their medical provider
Employees that do not receive the vaccine will wear a mask from 10/1/20233/31/2024 due to our policy here at the Marian Home.

As always, we encourage anyone with symptoms of influenza, COVID, RSV or any other respiratory illness to postpone their visit until they are no longer showing symptoms of illness. Should you develop a communicable illness and have been in contact, we would appreciate knowing so we can properly monitor our residents for any symptoms.
The Marian Home will provide masks at the entrance of the building for your use should you feel the need

We are praying that we have an uneventful fall/winter/spring as far as illness goes and we look forward to partnering with all of you in working to make that happen

God bless Tracy Trotter
