Tipple later went on to pursue a career in law and graduated in 2010 among the top 20th percentile from Florida Coastal School of Law. BIO Philip J. Schipani has been Board Certified in Matrimonial and Family Law by the Florida Bar since 2014, a distinction held be less than 10 percent of attorneys in Florida.

Mr. Schipani practices all aspects of Family Law. Schipani focuses his practice exclusively in Matrimonial and Family Law, including high net worth divorces, complex custody cases, domestic violence, paternity, international child abduction and cases involving special needs children.

Phillip Schipani has been awarded the Spotlight Award by The Florida Bar in recognition of his positive impact and outstanding service to the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar for 2019-2020.

Additionally, he has been selected for the 2021 Florida Super Lawyer List for the 6th year in a row. Mr. Schipani was admitted as a fellow to the International Academy of Family Lawyers in 2020.

Philip is an active member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, in which he has chaired the Domestic Violence Committee, the Rules & Forms Committee and the Ad Hoc Special Needs Children Committee. He is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar executive council and the legislative committee.

In addition, Philp was a program chair and a workshop leader for the 2019 Family Law Section Trial Advocacy Workshop wherein he was teamed with a family law magistrate to teach litigation and courtroom skills. Schipani has also twice lectured at seminars on domestic violence presented by the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.

Philp has two children. One of which is his son, who is non-verbal autistic.

Philip’s passion for his own child has led him to give several local seminars to the Sarasota Bar Association on dealing with special needs children in divorce cases as well as chairing and speaking at the first full day seminar presented by the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar on special needs children issues in family law cases.

Colleen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and has lived in Sarasota, Florida since early childhood where she attended elementary, junior high and high school. After graduating from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Colleen worked as a paralegal prior to and during undergraduate school. Colleen graduated cum laude from Manatee Community College and later graduated from University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and a minor in Philosophy. Colleen attended law school and obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School Law in Jacksonville, Florida.

While in law school, Colleen was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board where she accomplished great success in appellate procedures. Colleen received advanced legal writing and research recognition in law school. Colleen worked as a law clerk all through law school in the area of insurance defense litigation. After admission to the Florida Bar, Colleen remained in Jacksonville for several years where she practiced law in the areas of criminal defense and insurance defense litigation, until she returned home to Sarasota where she has focused her practice exclusively on all aspects of matrimonial and family law.

BIO Attorney Rob McLain is an experienced legal professional whose main focus is on litigation. Before attending college, Mr. McLain worked in IT for an AMLAW 100 law firm. From there, he did the same for a computer forensics firm, and he published an article on how the Fourth Amendment relates to computer search and seizure. In 1998, Mr. McLain earned his BA in philosophy and English at the University of Florida. His path eventually took him to law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the George Mason University School of Law. He continued to contribute to the school as an editor for their George Mason Law Review.

Mr. McLain’s legal career started at a Washington, D.C. office of a New Yorkbased law firm. A member of their fraud litigation team, Mr. McLain argued fraud cases in both civil and criminal court. His clients ranged from corporations to individuals, and he used his knowledge to advise them on computer security compliance.

In 2010, Mr. McLain returned to his hometown of Sarasota, Florida and joined another firm, continuing his litigation and advisory work for companies and individuals. Broadening his practice, Mr. McLain has since represented clients in personal injury, malpractice, sexual harassment, probate matters, business and contract disputes, and tort lawsuits. Also continuing his crimi-

nal defense work, Mr. McLain has defended his clients from all manner of allegations. These include DUI and driving with a suspended license, fleeing the scene of an accident, unlicensed contracting, battery, fraud and embezzlement, conspiracy, money laundering, and wire fraud.

Damian Mallard is a Board-Certified Civil Trial Attorney with 30 years of experience with an emphasis in Catastrophic Personal Injury Law. He is active in many legal and philanthropic groups. Annually since 2016, he has been nominated as a “Super Lawyer” by his peers and was given an anonymous rating of “AV Preeminent” by his peers and in surveys of judges with knowledge of his skills. He has tried cases in fourteen different cities in Florida and has obtained several million dollar or multimillion-dollar verdicts or settlements.

Mr. Mallard has represented men, women, and children in claims for sexual abuse against schools, churches, day care centers and private organizations most notably, the Boy Scouts of America. He also handles catastrophic auto negligence cases, trucking accidents, premises liability cases, medical malpractice cases, Negligent Security cases, Nursing Home and ALF abuse matters.

Mr. Mallard graduated from the Stetson University College of Law in 1990 where he served on the Editorial Board of the Stetson Law Review. He has authored books on Auto Negligence Law, Nursing Home/ALF Abuse, and Child Abuse/Injury cases. He has been married to Sara Mallard for 27 years and has two daughters.

After years of representing clients in complex divorce litigation, Sharon O’Day became convinced there had to be a better way to assist families going through difficult transitions. After completing training in Collaborative Divorce, she closed her litigation practice to focus exclusively on assisting families through divorce and paternity cases without resorting to the courts.

Sharon is a mediator to her core and is committed to helping families find creative solutions to the complex issues that arise throughout the stages of divorce. She knows first-hand the high emotional and financial cost of a litigated divorce and, is dedicated to helping families avoid this trauma by working with both sides to find winwin solutions to even the most difficult disputes. Every family is unique and Sharon’s expertise in collaborative law assists clients in finding equally unique solutions to their disputes.

When not engaged in mediation Sharon enjoys community service.

She has served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Sarasota Bar Association, is the current Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and has served on the 12th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee.

Michael Infanti is the Founder and Managing Partner of Infanti Law Firm, PLLC. He is a third generation Sarasotan and has specialized in the areas of general real estate, banking and business law for more than twenty (20) years. Prior to founding his own firm, Michael practiced at a national law firm, as well as a local firm for many years. He has significant experience with the negotiation, drafting and preparation of virtually all forms of commercial contracts and agreements, and routinely represents Fortune 500 companies, banks, regional and national development firms, commercial businesses, family held offices and individuals in the acquisition, financing, sale, lease and development of real estate projects throughout the state of Florida. Originally from Massachusetts, Michael has been a Sarasota resident for over 40 years. After graduating from Sarasota High School, he attended the University of Florida and graduated with dual degrees in Finance and Economics.

After graduating from the University of Florida, Mr. Infanti attended Stetson University College of Law, where he simultaneously obtained both a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration Degree. Michael and his wife Jennifer have been married for almost 15 years and have two children.

When he’s not practicing law, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, and working to advance the interests of his community.

Michael has been active over the years in a variety of civic and professional organizations. Recently, Michael was unanimously elected to serve on the City and County’s Affordable Housing Committees. In that capacity, Michael was able to utilize his extensive real estate knowledge and expertise to work with various community leaders to present a final review, analysis and recommendation to the Boards of the City and County Commissioners.

BIO Greg Linehan grew up in Sarasota before leaving to ATTORNEYS attend college at the University of Florida. After receiving his Bachelors Degree, he attended law school in Miami. In 1997, he relocated back to Sarasota to be near family and friends while building his practice in Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation law. Mr. Linehan became a partner at Wittmer | Linehan in 2007. Program Methodology SUMMARY To create the list, the magazine contracted DataJoe Research to facilitate an online peer-voting process and Internet research process. DataJoe Research is a software and research company specializing in data collection and verification, and conducts various nominations across the United States on behalf of publishers. To create the list, DataJoe Research facilitated an online peer-voting process. DataJoe checked and confirmed that each published winner had, at time of review, a current, active license status with the appropriate state regulatory board. If we were not able to find evidence of a lawyer's current, active registration with the state regulatory board, that lawyer was excluded from the list. In addition, we checked available public sources to identify lawyers disciplined for an infraction by the state regulatory board. These entities were excluded from the list. Finally, DataJoe presented the tallied result to the magazine for its final review and adjustments.
