Hello there lovely Gods & Goddesses, My how the time flies. Christmas is fast approaching, and 2012 is just around the corner... so it begs the question...what will happen next!?

What will 2012 bring to us all?

Well… One thing is for sure; anyone still doing the old paradigms’ of greed, control, or functioning from lust, still using their egos emotional astral desires... is in for a rude awakening, bring on 2012.

What darkness has enslaved the hearts & minds of mankind?

I

n the sands of time it will be written...

that during mankind’s evolvement we did become but slaves, caught up in our own eternal servitude derived of our base desires; that of wealth, of rank and social position, of sudo financial successes, fuelled by fake ambitions that enabled false sensations of control over ones destiny. This fed only the lusts born from greed and the perceptions of personal power, which lurked in the waters of mankind’s ever-present unquenchable thirst for more! What ever we have become slaves to owns us in some way. Freedom from this is a must. How much time do you spend enslaved to by your desires?

1. Let go of personal enslavement.

Time to ask yourself, what is it I have become a slave to? What owns my focus and distracts me constantly… and why does it? How important is this too me and is it born from my creative passions? These are questions you’ll need to answer to become aware of your own intrinsic nature.

Know the beast inside yourself and what it yearns for and you will see what feeds its desires. Come to understand the inner person and what fuels it the most. Who are you really and what drives you, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically? What are your real values and at what point do you betray them? Look deeper to your base motives … the real reason you do the things you do. What is 6

the pay off? Who or what do you get to resent or control, or have superiority over? What emotional needs fuel this?

What attitudes and behaviours have you developed to keep it happening?

Come to understand this, and you will know what enslaves you and controls you. Only then can you claim back the power that has been lost…

2. Let go of needing more…

Cease emotionally driven cravings.

Until you stop craving what you perceive will make you feel better about yourself or increase your perceptions of false power, you will be a slave to learning the lessons of the ego that teach, that having more ‘of anything’ will not make you happy or add to your life in any way.

To conquer this, we must be prepared to look our fears in the eye; the fear of possessing nothing; the fear of not being acknowledged; the fear of judgement or ridicule; the fear of social isolation; the fear of not belonging anywhere; the fear of being alone or not being loved. These are the base fears we all have that are manipulated into social forums that see our hearts and minds consumed by worry. They are used and recycled back to us in manufactured anxieties who’s sole purpose is to see us enslaved, and controlled. Instead you must let go what you think must be yours and surrender to what actually is! Let go of what you think you have to be, to have or do, to become what you perceive is more important than you already are.

There are no ‘have tos’ or should dos’, only perceptions of ideas and concepts.

Many of which are fed to us through consumer based ideals and their realities, supporting the subliminal messages feeding the beliefs that we need to have more or be better than

we already are. This creates a virtual inner sweatshop that quietly seduces our perceptions, reshaping our reality, controlling our beliefs.

Even our education system rewards academic biases, fuelling a belief, that to have a university degree with more letters after your name makes you a superior person, or a better authority than someone that doesn’t!

Perpetuating the need for everyone to stay at school much longer… is this actually necessary? Does it make us a better society or does it fuel the idea of elitism and competition?

3. Let go of the battle… Life is not a battlefield … unless you make it one.

Competition is what we are led to believe life is all about. Our monetary system, employment ethics along with consumerism has taught us to believe that it’s a dog eat dog world out there perpetuating the myth ‘that life is a battle field’, a place like the gladiator pits of ancient Rome where one had to prove oneself or be killed… Sadly it seems everyone has bought into the fear and so plays the games, whereby the current socio-economic systems in place only serves to re-enforce these old out moded beliefs.

Through our emotional projections and sensations of egoist craving, we have become slaves, believing in a reality of lack, which always wants more, but is never satisfied… We have been sold to our ego’s craving for what we perceive will make our life better, happier, more glamorous than it is. We have been seduced into believing that living humbly or having humility somehow acquaints to hiding behind a mask of various submission.

These submissions have been fed to us in various forms; everything from

being made feel impertinent to dare to speak about ones gifts, to hiding them so as not to hurt others egos’, to one of inflation via that of accumulated debts, created from egoic desires fuelled by false world economies; sudo perceptions of wealth, that feeds of exorbitant interest. These ego lusts and debts keep us locked into cycles, like subservient Hamster’s in a wheel, mankind seems stuck in an everturning rat race… literally getting nowhere. I know I’m not the only one that sees this!

Where is it written that to be humble we must accept mediocrity, suffer our life and live the status quo in servitude to everyone else’s ego? That to have nothing and be nobody, helps us be accepted, that we must blend in and not shine our light so as not to offend anybody? Generations of history filled with lords of the manner stealing from the poor and elevating the rich have taken their toll on humanities psyche.

That elevation to any power came with huge responsibility rendered the meagrely educated masses fearful and unprepared for the wisdom and deeper truths required for real leadership.

Even now we have to endure taxation heights that make no sense, accept to corrupt governments who’s need for power spawns and willingly grasps at an inflated false economy, supported by the hungry corporate giants, which seduced them into power in the first place. We have become nothing more than whores who are enslaved , pimped by our governments laws and societies ego … where will it take us?

Where has the real heart and grace in our humanity gone? When will we do something about it?

Freedom is our birthright!

I

f you set about and try and fix the symptoms of the physical body only, then you dismiss their message to you about yourself.Your higher self will be trying to tell you in some way that you are not living in harmony within you own belief system. What we do instead is pop a few pills to take away symptoms of discomfort or pain, ignoring the inner guidance that is telling you to stop and listen to what the body is trying to tell you.

How many of you have had a headache only to swallow a few pain killers to keep on doing what ever it was that you were doing? Headaches are usually a result of stresses and mental/emotional overload.Your body is telling you to stop, relax, and allow the overload to dissipate, before you attempt any more. But do we listen? No! We choose to take control and use a drug that disallows the physical body’s message delivered with pain to interfere with the mind’s work, of schedules, deadlines and expectations.

The body is simply a physical three-dimensional model of your beliefs and thoughts.Your mind is your main computer and it only believes what you tell it, the physical body reacts to the mind’s directives. Science has known this for some time but still it is not common knowledge and is not used in the medical diagnostic process. Until the medical profession recognizes quantum physics and brings metaphysics into play with the rest of their medical knowledge they will still be treating symptoms of a problem and not the cause.

What is meant by Metaphysics Looking at the metaphysical concepts of disease allows us to understand and discuss alternate ways of looking at the causes of illness. The word ‘meta’ is Latin for beyond and

‘physics’ is the physical, so metaphysics means beyond the physical. Modern medicine concentrates on the physical body, metaphysics is understanding that the mind, body and spirit are one, working in constant unison.

Over the past hundreds of years, the medical profession has seen fit to create a split between the mind and body when treating illness by treating the physical body only and paying little or no attention to the mind and its emotions or how a patient is feeling. While the spirit of the body is not recognized at all. Long ago in more ancient times the healers, which were usually priests, viewed their patients as a whole individual. They treated the mind, body and spirit.

They knew that only treating part of the person meant that only part of them would get well, resulting in the continuation of illness.

When we become physically ill it affects our mental and emotional stability, leaving us feeling frustrated and powerless. Just as, when we feel unhappy or depressed, we usually suffer physically as well, with headaches, tension in muscles and even nausea. The opposite happens when we feel happy and joyous, our body feels alive, vibrant and healthy.

There is a direct relation between what the mind thinks and how the body reacts.

We are all familiar with the body’s main working systems taught to you in science at school. They are; the skeleton, the muscles, the nervous system, the circulatory system, the digestive system and the endocrine system.

None of these systems can operate without a proper

S’ROYA ROSE directive from the brain. It is energy that runs the brain — our main computer for life.Yet, nowhere in Western medicine do we consider the body’s energy system.

However, most Eastern healing practices have always treated the human energy system along with the physical.

Our Human Energy System Acupuncture, Bowen, kinesiology, touch for health, Reiki and massage treat the energy systems of the whole body.

They are some of the alternatives that we have begun to use in our Western healing culture. The human body is a mass of energy and is divided up into two parts. The first part is seen as the physical body, the second part is the aura or etheric energy body that is a non-visible physical energy field. I liken our energy field to that of microwaves or radio waves or infrared waves which are also not visible.

All living things give off an electromagnetic field (aura) just like ours. It is the aura that contains all our mental, emotional and spiritual body’s information. All these energy systems work together with the physical body for it to be in balance and function properly. The role of your energy system is to bring to your attention to any imbalances giving you an opportunity to treat them before they become a physical problem or illness.

The main cause of imbalance to the energy system begins as some kind of stress! Stress is a direct result of a trauma or negative emotion or experience, either mental, emotional

or physical and it makes no difference whether it is inflicted by yourself or another. This stress is received as a shock to one or all of these systems and eventually manifests as dis-ease within the body. The distress could come from any number of things such as death, accident, relationship breakdown, a frightening experience, exhaustion, chemical poisoning, dramatic climate change, or bad diet. Any negative experience can be responsible. Sometimes it is a subtle emotional stress that builds up over a period of years, eventually becoming a negative experience. These are usually things like self denial, an intimidating husband or parent, an overbearing abusive boss or work colleague, or trying to please everyone at your own expense. The list goes on.

Regardless of the experience, it is the cause of the imbalance and is a result of how you reacted to this experience or stress. It is the thoughts you have about the feelings that you have experienced that creates the stress. This stress is then stored within your own energy field. Energy imbalances are caused by negative thought patterns that create disharmony to your energy. These thoughts are experienced as emotions.

Your emotions affect the very fiber of your being; they effect your whole energy level.

These negative emotional thought patterns may be conscious as in anger or grief, fear of loss etc., or they may be subconscious, resulting from childhood trauma or fear, long forgotten by the conscious mind. Either way, if they are not dealt with they will lead to physical symptoms of some kind eventually. These are what we treat during a Reiki session.

innamon and spice paint the air, and the music of an abundant bounty of cultures floats across the beautiful autumn breeze to my ears, settling to a steady beat within my heart.

I am caught up in deep conversation with a Reiki healer, a gentleman a little older than myself who has been thumbing through the albums of the Goddesses from the belly dancing troupe that I learn from. I tell him of my love for this type of dance, my connection to the Divine, being swathed in satin and jewels, the sensuality it unleashes.

He then asks me ; “ If men do not belly dance, how do they then get in touch with their Sensuality? Because I would really like to find mine again. ” Eros, Cupid, Romeo, Heathcliffe, Don Juan, Cassanova… oh the dizzying halcyon days of dramatic yet expressive love, of romance and courting, of gentlemanly behaviours.

Has it all been eroded with the empowerment of the Goddess? As strong women in the new millennium, have we driven away this rare species with our need for equality and fierce independence?

t was the anticipated video for famed entertainer Beyonce Knowles. Having received much heat and criticism for its audio release, while reaching No. 33 on the Billboard charts, numerous people became skeptical and even repulsed by such a daring, bold, and unordinary exercise of expression from this international entertainer.

However, what if we re-examined this particular form of artistry? What if the reason for the huge dismissal of the video “Run the World,� stemmed from the fear of this imaginary world of women being a story, which foreshadows a circling of women into the time when the acknowledgement of her centeredness and power was vigilant for all to hear. . .

Eccentric beats enter the song, introducing Beyonce riding a black horse.

And yet, we can’t forget the scream . . .the powerful cry presented in the song, as the entertainer is dressed in a black ensemble (black being symbolic of healing, encompassing all creation), uplifting her hands in the air, connecting the worlds of the seen and the invisible.

It is not a cry of traditional mourning, but that of an awakening. The scream is the voice of the Goddess, so powerful and vast that her very presence causes all women to emerge from the abyss, like a plant that penetrates through the soil, ready to engulf the life that it is birthed from. We are presented with such images with the presentation of the sultry moves of the two women-one arising from a cage-like apparatus, and the other who lies in a perpendicular-like position on a cross-shaped device.

And if observers are keen in their vision they will notice lush patches of greenery that surrounds them, symbolic of the seeds that they are able to plant, and fruits that she can produce even in the midst of barren lands. The projection of the scream causes for the release of the different mechanisms of feminine energy, as is evident of the numerous women running amongst each other in fearless and fluid circumference.

Reflections and Awakenings of the Goddess in Beyonce Knowles’ “Run the World” Beyonce has now become the storyteller of this world, which is considered forbidden. Upon the circling and conglomeration of the women in the video, viewers are presented with the arrival of the male patriarchs.

Accompanied with their police batons, and other weaponry, they have prepared themselves to make war on this mysterious power that they cannot comprehend. The women wear combat hats, but they do not have traditional weaponry for it is not needed. A much greater power is obtained, and the patriarchs who have come thinking to squander this power are confused. And so the dance begins. . . The storyteller breaks out into dance, but she is not alone. In addition, to her being surrounded by the female presence, two men, who join her in this dance, also accompany her. What is highly intriguing about the presence of these two men is that their joining of the storyteller through dance is symbolic of their immersion with the Great Feminine. They are not intimidated by her, and they do not challenge her existence. Their connection with her has allowed for them to experience and gain pleasure through her being. A pleasure which is not based on her domination, subjugation, and control for artificial imagery of their “elevation” above her, but rather in becoming part of her as a means to explore and understand themselves. The presence of the two male dancers who have joined with the storyteller challenge the oppressive form of patriarchy, and a restrictive form of masculinity, which is rendered with violence, and the illness of wanting to obtain a false form of empowerment by wishing to dominate over feminine energy. They are re-framing a healthy and less oppressive form of masculinity, and again the patriarchs are confused, as this strange presentation of masculinity is one which had remained a foreign concept.

The interaction of the storyteller with the police, whose definition of power has been limited to destroying or artificialize creation of those who naturally create is of a pivotal moment for the reclamation of feminine power.

Her presence and acknowledgement of her power is so profound that the male police around her appeared somewhat startled. As she matriculates amongst them, and begins to interact with them, the viewer is presented with the sensuality, and persuasion that the entertainer sings of. However, it is not a persuasion that has often been associated with the downfall and entrapment of men, but rather that particular energy which is fluid and encompassing. Her movement and interaction with the men foretells of the ability for the feminine energy to be

amongst and surround us at all times. In her vigorous and rigorous encounter with one of the “gentlemen,” there is an increase power of vibration. This too is a presentation of that invisible force (stemming from Mother Nature and the Universe) which is uncontrollable, and which can also be unpredictable.

And so the dance begins. . .Throughout the story, the women are dancing. It is as if through dance they are rejuvenating, sharing, and partaking in a power which provides them the nourishment that is needed to reclaim what had been hidden, manipulated, and stolen from them.

Clips from the video showcase the male police throwing stones, and utilizing their weaponry in a sense of desperation to retain a system which has privileged them, and deadened them at the same time.

Then of course, let us not forget the presence of animals in this magical world, the horse (minus the saddle and reins), the hyenas (minus the chains), lion, and wildebeest. They are necessary, as their association with the feminine is reflective of the wild woman, and wild nature.

Her relationship and tending of other life forms birthed from the wildness of Mother Nature are reminders of her connection with them—not in a means of domination or subordination, but for her ability to connect with them, learning and nurturing them, as they too become nourished in the existence of this mysterious and fascinating creature called woman.

And so the dance is coming to an end. . .The patriarchs are making their last attempt to maintain the falsified dominance, which is the true form of entrapment.

Yet the women continue to dance, with flags waving, and fists in the air, they are on the verge of making their last statement. Shields and batons in hand, the patriarchs are left trying to fend off this strange power. Then it happens.

Marked by the snatching of the badge from the presumed leader of the army of patriarchs, the awakening begins, not by the women, but by the men. Their weapons have failed them, and they must now acknowledge the true source of where their existence begins.

You have worked hard on this and other lifetimes to be a leader, to be a way shower, to shine your light for others to see the yellow brick road, to see beyond the entrancing illusion of human consciousness to the emerald city. It is time to take responsibility for the fact that you are here to lead the children to the promised land, you are mosses and mosette and it is time to accept your divine mission and be a leader, to be the master you truly are and speak and act with divine authority!

Every person has a specific natural way of being and acting, each person has specific bias and way of thinking and feeling; each person carries within them, a unique spiritual essence and divine function, and the journey of mastery is clearing the pathway for yourself to be this divine master. This is where I come in and where other masters who have come before you come in, to help you, to show you the way, to point you in the right direction to your own mastery.

We all in this together baby and we can plork (play/ work) together and create ease and joy in our lives or we can fight each other because our fears and pain dictate that this is the right way to act – it is our choice. This is the choice for everyone on earth: choose love or hate, choose cooperation or competition, choose lack or abundance…, but the time of choice between these polarities is now extremely limited – the old world of lack, competition, fear, control and separation is dying and a new era and new world is being born - an age of light where the choice to live in denial of your divinity and repress your love, will be impossible! Soon the world will be so filled with love that only the most recalcitrant souls will be able to continue living in the old world matrix, and they will congregate in little pockets on the planet while the rest of the world moves steadily onward into the complete manifestation of Heaven on Earth. And we will no longer judge those souls that still wish to play the games of separation, who still wish to act aggressively to repress their suffering from this pain of separation and their feelings of unworthiness and powerlessness, we will instead have compassion for their suffering and see them for the Christ Children that they truly are, always doing whatever can be done to guide them to their divinity, and eventually even the most resistant souls will forgive themselves and awaken to their divine magnificence!

Elemental Magic:Fire T

he words elemental magic can be understood two different ways; magic worked with the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water( and sometimes a fifth element, Aether or Spirit), and elemental as in the fundamental building blocks of magic. These two concepts actually work together; magic with the elements represents some of the basic components of magic and it’s a simple and immediate doorway into more complex magical forms.

Fire seems an especially sensitive element. Both Water and Earth can extinguish Fire; and Fire is dependent on both Air and some form of Earth (fuel) to exist at all. Like all the elements, Fire in its wild, naked form is terrifying and life-threatening to humans (for their wild forms think of bushfire, volcano, earthquake, flood, tsunami, avalanche).

A candle’s light is a call to the sacred in every religion I can think of. That first spark of Fire – made by stones chipped together, a match being struck, a magnifying glass focused – is enough to make the breath catch. Flames – contained safely in a fireplace or bonfire – are mesmerising. And yet Fire even in its tiniest form can burn and destroy; how many house fires are started by a cigarette or candle left

burning? In contrast, serious floods aren’t started by a tap left dripping, or storms by a window left open.

Fire is an element considered hard to control and some of the characteristics we associate with it are also hard to control; such as passion, anger and creativity. People we name as ‘fiery’ tend to be somewhat out-of-control. But those with a good relationship with Fire work co-operatively with it, rather than seeming at its mercy. So it’s not if you’ve got a quick temper or spark with a hundred ideas that I’d say you are an effective Fire person; but rather if you can channel that energy into clear expression of your feelings, and if you can provide enough long-term fuel to get some of your ideas off the ground.

As well as its destructive side, Fire also gives us light at night, warmth and cooked food. It’s an exciting element and we can tend to forget that what we feed it is what’s determining the strength of those flames – how much we feed our anger, or our creativity, has a direct effect on how strong they will be in our lives. I remember my son, at a very young age, asking why we called the people whose job it is to battle destructive fires fire fighters – wouldn’t it be

You have vigilantly weeded out those things that did not serve the garden, and some of those weeds had sunk very deep roots, it took effort and courage, and perseverance to remove these choking energies!

You have fed and watered, and brought your garden through droughts, when you felt dry and empty, and floods, when the tears would not stop, for the grief that you felt for yourself, for others, for the earth.You have withstood infestation, when destructive swarms of thoughts and insecurities, as well as the judgements and attacks from others, threatened to destroy all you had created...

As you savor the first taste of this fruit, you are transported to a beautiful grotto, where lush plants grow, beneath a gentle waterfall, where butter and dragonflies dance, and the songs of birds fill the air.You are guided to connect deeply to the earth, and to listen to the message that will help you to be more grounded and alive in this physical plane. Listen to your message, and to

Spiritual and Grounded.

The next fruit feels soft and fuzzy, a rich verdant green color, this is the “Fruit of Well Being”. This fruit has a complex flavor, both bitter and sweet, pungent and sour, but all in the right proportions. It is healing to your entire body, and it seems that whatever your body needs at this time to come into balance is contained within this fruit. Allow the healing energies to enter every cell of your being. Listen for the guidance, and message of well being that comes to you, what is the most important key at this time, to an increase of balance in your body and being? Take a moment to write this down, in your journal.

The last fruit we will relish at this time, is magenta, with indigo veins and a deep golden flesh. This is “The Fruit of Vision and Intuition”. As you experience the sweet juices upon your tongue, you will feel your mystical third eye opening, and feel a strong current moving in your solar plexus. This is an activation of your Intuition and vision. A picture or feeling will come to you, that will show you a key to your ability to trust in your feelings about life and your direction.You will be given a message about one important key you are harvesting in your life right now, that will lead you to greater clarity, and peace. This is when the Faerie reach out and establish a connection with us; it is uncommon that it works in the reverse, Experience new things on a daily basis, strive to break out of the mundane, don’t make excuses, touch the earth, laugh at nothing. Dance when there is no music to dance to, break free from the dreary world, talk to the trees, solve the labyrinth within yourself. Work outside of boundaries, trust yourself, love yourself, express sensuality, compassion and sexuality, paint expression, recite poetry, not only work magick but live a magickal life, reward your achievements, compliment yourself, explore your shadow-self, meditate, visualize, create and weave enchantment all around you- this is natural magick, this is the way of the Faerie.

The Construction of a Faerie Altar Formerly before working with the Fae and attuning to the Realm of the Faerie is to create a Faerie Altar. Creating this ‘nucleus’ of concentration, aids in the creation of portals beyond that of our world and opens doorways into otherworld’s such as the ‘Twilight’ lands. By thought and intent, our essence extends past the boundaries of our ‘natural’ world and into the Realm of the Faerie; it is by this subtle invitation into our world they are more likely to accept. We must consider though, much like the tide, their energies and moods constantly shift and are situational: quintessentially capricious. For your altar foundation it may be large or small; humble as an antique painted nook upon a window ledge, an intricate and elaborate table lavishly decorated, a twisted gnarled moss-covered stump of a fallen tree beside a creek, or, a raised stone bench surrounded by beautifully scented flowers. Be true to the nature around you, use what natural objects you find: on the beach, the woods, fields; naturally tumbled glass or stones, seaweed branches/’seaweed trees’, four leaf clovers, grass seed heads, pods, twigs—anything of organic matter. Then add bought imagery and ornaments which to you represent the Faerie Realm: crystals, statues, candles, wand (only used for Faerie work), glass beads, ribbons, chimes (though some Faeries do not like the sound of bells), special lights/lamps, candleholders, trinket boxes (to place food offerings in) or an offering plate.

Each of the elements must also be represented- water (dish of water or a water feature), earth (a dish of earth or

bottle of earth), fire (candles or spirit fire) air (incense/feathers/bells/an open window), and if you desire, ether (a mirror). All the objects placed upon this altar should exhibit the beauty of all natural forms and symbolize the element(s) of the Faerie you have a connection to. Only use the elements of the Faerie you desire to work with, if you wish to work with all, be sure to encompass all.You altar should also represent ‘light’ & ‘darkness’, if you are not comfortable continuously burning candles, use a lamp, Selenite crystal lamps are a gorgeous addition and work wonderfully, adorning your altar in a spirited luminescent white/ golden glow, classically this should be placed in the centre of your altar with a black glass mirror or obsidian mirror behind it. This embodies duality, the combination of both forces which bring us to the naissance of understanding the ‘Twilight’ spheres.

Your altar will reflect your personality, or a side of you that wants to be wild, untamed and free; like the Faerie.

Drape it in opulent fabrics, delicate silk- to express the water-coloured flow and ebb of the ocean in rich cobalt and emerald greens, the earth in all its chthonic magnificence, of russet and bronze. Shimmering organza- rubicund scarlet and gilded ochre symbolizing the fervour and life of fire; sheer yellow or white to express the translucency of air of the whispering winds Diaphanous silver and white, epitomized to the ghostly shades of the spirit world, or the opaque blackness of a moonless night. Whatever the colours you chose, remember to try and make

it dimensional; meaning to layer it with a solid base, and add layers of shimmering ephemeral material to give it a profundity of depth- from one world into another. Candles or ‘lights’ should be natural sourcesCandles, idyllically should be formed out of ‘pure’ beeswax, a neutral colour, grey/white/or a pale green/ purple. Try to keep to the colours of the element the Faerie belong to, if you are not sure always use one of the base neutral colours above.Your ‘Faerie Candle’ must be a pillar and separate from the others. Use only organic materials. Herbs must be dried ‘naturally’ then added in the process of creating your candle, alongside oils, which too should be ‘natural’ (essential oils) not synthetic or fragrant oils. This special candle should be crafted by your own hands, programmed with the intent you have for working with the Faerie and maintaining the energies of your altar. Inscribed with Faerie Runes or Sigils, and decorated to suit and compliment your altar and the Faerie you respectfully work with.

he message I receive from feminine energies aligned with me at this time, is they would like us to think about life as a stream, a river of light, energy, and sound that runs through all things – and the stream only flows in one direction it’s called GOD/GODDESS or Source – it’s also called the stream of right action, being in the moment, synchronicity, ease, joy.

We connect to the flow of this stream through our emotions – and our emotions at time make us behave a bit like lemmings or salmon – instead of flowing with the universal current – we decide to struggle against it and swim upstream – our society is based on struggle; struggle to win struggle to get the job – and along the way we get caught in whirlpools and rocks, and the more we do this the more we get discouraged.

Spirit explained the floods and raging seas around the lands are the result of our chaotic emotions and thoughts, as people are struggling to adapt to the new currents and waves coming to our planet from the universe to initiate change. As human beings we don’t like change and so we cry (more water) So we need to find our stream of life – our song.

It is not only human beings who sing songs and create music, there are whole symphonies being played in nature itself. Indigenous people have their songlines, which are invisible pathways connecting all over the land ancient tracks made of songs which tell of the creation of that particular place. They travel the land singing the world into being afresh – isn’t that beautiful! They have heard the

melodies of the rivers and valleys and created a song that resonates with that area and so this helps them navigate their way. So we can also sing our world into being – into harmony.

We have the pattern of perfection within us and we live in a miracle.

This miracle is possible because of the perfect pattern upon which we are made and held together.

If you sprinkle sand on a drum, sit it on top of a piano, then play a few notes, the little particles will take on a geometric form. This is proof that sound moves matter. Every time you speak, the sound of your voice has an effect upon the molecules and the cells in your body. There are sounds in our environment which we do not have control over, but we do have control over our own voices and this can be the most destructive element in our lives. The hostile voice; the person who can’t ask a question, but demands an answer “Where did you put those keys?” why didn’t you pay that bill?. This type of voice invites accidents, heart attacks, strokes, and so forth and then, there’s the Whiny kind of voice – “oh pardon me for living” everything goes wrong in my life, nobody likes me, I can never do anything right “Lingering illnesses, chronic diseases, depression can result. We have to go to the core of our being – let’s get our body back over the magnet – the source and we don’t have to put it together with tweezers again it instantly goes back.

your body – when you paddle or float in the ocean immediately all your stress and worries fall away from you – and so bring that feeling around you now….then imagine you are floating from the ocean inland to a stream – this is your stream – it represents your life, your emotions, your dreams – How does it look………..is there water in your stream or is it a dry riverbed? If there’s water what’s it like? is it clear and sparkling in the sun, or polluted? Is it stagnant or flowing gently along, or raging out of control? Spend a few moments creating your stream so it is just right – clear pure water, flowing smoothly.

Imagine your stream has come to a lake with a white temple in the middle. The goddesses are waiting for you and they begin to softly sing a melody, the notes form ribbons of light which weave into your stream bringing it into alignment with the Divine once more, and you listen carefully as they sing you song..let it carry you, heal you, soothe you.. and then when you are ready, slowly come out of your meditation.

any people struggle with change, they find it scary and often overwhelming.

We can feel fine about change when it’s something we bring about ourselves, but sometimes we are not in control of some life experiences, and can find ourselves at the mercy of sudden unexpected life changes.

We struggle with why the change is happening to us, feeling wronged or angry at being forced into having to make sudden changes we would rather not. We can be caught off guard, unprepared mentally and emotionally because we’re not expecting the change to take place.

As a practicing temple Priestess and healer, I use ceremonies along with the Goddess energy, to help people integrate accepting change into their lives. When we take part in a ceremony we naturally get caught up in the planning, in the organizing, and the orchestrating of it all, and in doing so we take up the responsibility for the intention for what it is we are about to do. We are aligning ourselves

mentally, emotionally and spiritually as we perform the preparation as well as conducting the physical ceremony. Our intention has a direct effect on our subconscious mind.

Ceremony & Ritual speaks to our subconscious and reminds us of our innate connection to the Source or Divine and so we act from a deeper place and are affected on these inner levels. In this way, using ceremony to help embrace change is quite powerful. It can help us to let go of an attachment to a place, a person or situation to do with the past. It helps us embrace why something has happened and the wisdom that’s been afforded us for the experience.

It can help us to honour the emotions of change and revere the experience as being a perfect process and appropriate for happening in our lives.

Accepting these unexpected situations can prove to be difficult.

Change is not an enemy, it’s the Universe acting on our behalf, letting us know that it’s time to move on.

want to leave, especially if it has had great sentimental value playing a large part in their life. We form deep emotional attachments when associations such as having a built a relationship or marriage or raising a family have taken place there.

We can grieve and even wallow in our perceptions of loss because we haven’t recognised the need to value those experiences, by claiming their greatness and what they have given us. Once we have received this as a blessing, then we can begin to willingly embrace the new life adventure that is beckoning our soul with feelings of openness. I have helped many people move through change emotionally, everything from a death of a loved one, to a relationship breakdown, to a change in career, to accepting closure after divorce, letting go of a home for sale, to moving inter-state or country.

Ceremonies and rituals help us to integrate our life experiences allowing the depth of our experiences to be recognised and honoured.

We can feel connected to what’s taken place and not separated from it, which helps with our psychological processing on many levels. It is the human part of us that needs this, to be able to make sense of it all and begin to understand its deeper meaning for us spiritually. The ancients knew this, which is why they held a ceremony for the change in seasons, and for the cycles of life, they honoured everything that supported ones life with some form of simple ritual connecting it to the cycles of the moon. They recognised

the deeper need within mankind to energetically and spiritually stay connected to all things that manifested.

The use of Symbology for Change We can get really creative when it comes to personal ceremonies for change. I find it best when people use things that are symbolic to the individual needing the change.

Anything that represents cycles of life or the different seasons is often good. Things like scissors or knives for cutting ties or letting go work well. Photos are great when working with closure in specific partnership changes, such as divorce or break ups. Memorabilia of loved ones for example, jewelry, ornaments, are all important and easy to use. Picking flowers or leaves off shrubs from around your home, taken from every corner are great to use for anything to do with a house.

Of course it’s a good idea to use elements when calling in the energies to help with whatever you are doing.

The use of sympathetic moon-times, colours, incense, herbs & symbols all add their corresponding energies enriching ones feelings. This should be done in reverence and devotion… not in anger or distress, but composure for the truth that must be able to reveal itself to you… that it is time to let go! Note: What are the blessings from this time… what were the lessons… what wisdom was gained… and how do you really feel? he idea is to create a collage of memories and symbolic representation of the journey that was had.

Sit and cut out pictures that jump off the page to you, that speak to your heart about your loss or pain, and are symbolic or remind you of an experience or a time associated with what ever you’re letting go… these trigger memories.

Take your time, feel your feelings and acknowledge them; this part takes as long as it takes. When you feel you have enough pictures, arrange them on the cardboard in a symbolic story, recalling the special times along the journey. There is usually a process… a beginning, a middle and an end. Have some pictures that represent how you would like to be feeling having let go, this helps you seek closure and newness on your journey moving forward to new beginnings offering something to look forward to. Begin to glue them on and as you do say “thank you and farewell” blessing each memory. Do this with feelings of love and reverence honouring the journey that has taken place. It can be quite emotional, and that is appropriate. Allow yourself to feel everything, even anger, humiliation, pain and hurt, whatever crops up. Sit with these feelings and let them pass through you as though observing them, blessing and releasing all of them. This is a personal ceremony and usually wouldn’t be shared with others. Take your time do not rush it.

Use the ribbon to hang your collage from the top if desired. Hang it up where it can be seen by you for one moon cycle only. After which you ritually take it down and burn it on the next full moon, outside in a clear space as a peace offering, sending the old energies up to the Goddess in an act of closure. This is quite powerful and very strong symbolism.

This issue I take a look at how to keep joy in our lives

’m sure at some time or another you’ve noticed how easy it is to lose your joy? I live in Las Vegas and as with any holiday destination people always seem like they’re a lot happier when they’re on one. More joyful, playful, more willing to take leaps of faith and much less stressed. They’re not worrying about what time they have to get up or what they have to do tomorrow rather they can plan what they want to do tomorrow. Sounds like bliss right? Well sure it does but what if I said you could live like this all of the time without being on vacation.Your life can be joyful whether you’re on a holiday or you’re going through the motions of daily life. This concept really got me thinking about how to keep joy in our life always well at very least a lot. We spend too much of our time wasted on emotional responses to the day to day trials and tribulations that may come our way. Annoyed, fretful, upset or fearful can rob us of our daily joy and happiness. So often we can pass up opportunities to laugh, smile or be joyful because we’re in a mood or we’re worrying about this or that. And so often those things we’re concerned about don’t eventuate anyhow and we’ve completely wasted another chunk of our precious time.

But we’re convinced that if we hold onto our seriousness and keep our intensity about the problem, somehow this will change it. Instead we need to learn how to loosen our grip on life and trust the right answer will come.

Choosing to do what we can and not try to do what we cannot. No need for us to miss beautiful moments of joy while we endeavor to fix everything or worry ourselves into moods that only zap our energy. One of my favourite sayings is “When you’ve done all you know to do, just stand”. This helps us live more freely and with more joy.

One of the easiest ways we can keep our joy is to not be constantly thinking and talking about our situations. Learn to keep quiet and refuse to go over and over them in your mind because eventually those thoughts will pour out of our mouths in some regrettable way or another. Instead choose to be the person with the joyful nature and lift and encourage others.You’ll be surprised how much joy we receive when we get our eyes off ourselves and onto helping someone else. Pure joy! If we truly understood the value happiness brought to our health we‘d keep it around a lot more every day. It’s refreshing and revitalizing and can bring healing to our soul. Be joyful and content and live in the moment as much as you can because it’s so very good for your spirit, soul and body and will help keep you young. a Sacred Plant of ‘Protection From Jealousy,’ and ‘Eventual Karmic Revenge

I

was splitting and hanging Spanish moss today and was wondering “Why Witches Love Spanish Moss So Much” and why it always seem to be associated with the homes of the magickal - so I did some research and came up with this “The Legend of Spanish Moss” (Botanical name: Tillandsia Usneoides) and thought that I would share it with you. “…Charleston, South Carolina, tells the story of a Cuban man, who came to the area in the 1700s to start a plantation near the city. He arrived with his Spanish fiancée, a beautiful blond woman from northern Spain, who was from a very old regal and magickal family. This bride-to-be was famed for her beautiful flowing hair.

The groom decided to proudly take his new love for a romantic walk through the forest to show her, for the first time, the location of their future home. However, on their way they were attacked and killed by an army from the Cherokee tribe, who were not happy to have these strangers on their land. As a final warning to stay away from the Cherokee nation, they cut off the long, dark hair of the bride-to-be and threw it up into an oak tree. The oak tree was also magickal and it was horrified by what it had just seen. It knew it was not right, and it vowed to help as best it could.

Day after day, week after week, the Cherokee noticed that the hair hanging in the tree turned green/gray instead of blonde. Then it began to spread throughout the tree, then from tree to tree. Wherever the Cherokees

went, the moss followed them. At night the spirit of the young woman would wail to them through it. They could not sleep they could not hunt; they could no longer live in the area where the couple had planned to have their plantation. Eventually it chased them out of their homeland of South Carolina altogether.

Nature savagely restores the balance when those who love her are injured. To this day, if one will stand under a live oak tree, heavily hung with Spanish Moss, one will hear the whispered moans of the young bride to be that was denied her wedding night and so much happiness by an act of senseless jealousy. Additionally, you may see the moss jump from tree to tree as the wind tries to satisfy it. It is said to defend itself and the homes of those who care for it with a large army of beetles....”

The moral of the story: - “You may think that you have had a victory when you attack some one you are jealous of - but don’t mess with a witch, cause mother nature will wipe you out in the end!”

The Ugly Emo I

n a world where we brandish emotional intelligence as being a key factor in self-mastery, I see a lot of emotional avoidance going on, masquerading as emotional intelligence. ‘If I just say ‘no’ to this thought then the emotion will not happen and I can avoid the challenge of it’ kind of mentality, which of course doesn’t really work. Often we avoid our feelings regarding anything that is considered unpleasant trying hard to denying its effect or existence.

Everything is connected and therefore if we avoid our connection to something unpleasant we are avoiding our inner and cosmic truth of it. While not reacting to emotions immediately can be seen as a good thing, we react to everything anyway, whether we like it or not.

I liken this to not wanting to notice the pimple that’s developed on our chin… judging it as unsightly and therefore wrong!

I’ve witness the whole ‘don’t get involved and don’t take it on’ attitudes, that seem only to fuel the inner need we all crave, which is to be emotionally met or validated and actually understood. Emotions are part of our greater intelligence, we need to get over ignoring them so much, seeing them as enemies to be avoided and learn instead to let them work their magic in our lives.

They are messages from a deeper part of our intrinsic human nature, the soul. Avoiding this leads to depression and the eventual development of all sorts of emotional disharmony played out in obscure behaviours. Have we become so digital that only the mind is given reign…?

Are we lead to believe it is the mind that rules, when in fact science has proven that what works first in the fetus is the heart…?

No body wants to feel awkward or be seen as uninformed, stupid or not knowing what needs understanding, or what appears that everybody else seems to know. We live in self-judgment of our inner

shame of not knowing everything, with possibly being considered stupid, or maybe wrong. Sadly our scholastic systems and archaic academic authoritarian bodies would have you controlled into believing this. We automatically judge ‘wrong’ as ‘bad’ and so avoid any situation that may bring ‘bad’ feelings of this nature to us. So we develop heaps of self defense systems of behavior , using avoidance mainly. No one wants to be wrong and feel bad, now do they? We’ve become masters, developing all kinds of tricks to avoid this from happening; we are all very clever at it really.

We all worry subconsciously about being ridiculed if we have an actual opinion or dare to speak out; so we don’t we avoid confronting our thoughts and developing opinions for fear of what they may do if voiced. We are often judged and made feel small, or worse, wrong!

We can shut down because of some unknown piece of knowledge or feelings of ignorance.

Who ever said ‘ignorance was bliss’ certainly didn’t live in their hearts.

May be in some small way not knowing and keeping an innocent approach is valid, but in reality it sucks. Every day there are new things that are going to challenge us, which we need to go and discover and learn about and there is no shame in the learning process. So why is it we struggle with this process of fessing up about it? Why is it we feel everything needs to be safe for us emotionally?

And that how we appear to others matters more than how we appear to ourselves. Why do we tip-toe around our egos? We just need to get over the fact that there are always going to be these kind of life challenges? We can never know it all or be everything to every one, its ridiculous and totally unreasonable to think we have to be this perfect.

otional Truth Whenever I use to feel challenged in this way in the past, I would either shut down or withdraw and work harder at being good by doing the right thing and pleasing people more. Can you identify with this? I’m sure you can. Needless to say neither was very satisfying or made me feel better about myself, nor got any positive results, they both would rob me of the fact that I just needed to own my feelings of self-doubt and judgment and shame and confront my real truths. I had to learn to have compassion for myself first, to allow in my awkwardness and to feel my inner doubts and register my nagging fears, before I could forgive my need to be seen as not having them, judging myself as not perfect. Seemed like a huge mountain to climb at first, but I am here as living proof that it is possible. Confronting feelings of inadequacy in the face of the need for perfectionism is difficult at first.

For a while you may struggle with it as it feels like it robs your power. But I am here to tell you it doesn’t rob you of anything. To be whole we need to feel everything, to own it and know it, registering its real meaning to us.

Especially the big things, but not excluding those little nagging things as well. Any emotion that you are avoiding will persist until you over come its hold over you. That hold is its need to be expressed in your life and to be validated and totally understood.

“What we resist persists!”

In my first book ‘In Search of Soul,’ (written when I was 36,) I talk about how I felt intimidated by the whole learning process and feelings of being seen as silly, stupid or dumb, and how these negative self-perceptions robbed me of the real joy that could be had when learning anything new. It seemed at first that I had to learn to go beyond myself to open up to the adventure of learning and not see it as an unforgiving battle I had with the world.

m and stop making them wrong. I had to learn how to be compassionate towards myself, to stop my inner suffering and cravings to be better and love who I really was and not who I wanted to be. At first when I would try to explain my hurt or pain to someone I was rarely listened to, or I got the 2 minute noodle sort of thing from well meaning friends and then the subject was changed to something else or back to them. So sharingwith friends I felt was not cool, as they too have their own stuff going on. Always mindful of that, it usually became a session where I would be validating their feelings and mine went unheard and rarely understood. I became aware that my gift to the world was to help it feel its feelings and validate its pain, in the hope that one day at some point I too would receive this in return.

This need lead to me becoming a healer and Soul psychologist and counselor of sorts, helping people to find their feelings and to connect the dots as to what it meant to them. What they needed to glean from these inner messages, and how these feelings and emotions were just a means for them to access this information. I came to realize that within my own emotional wounds and deep inner truths lay the medicine that I would carry for others, as well as myself. I learnt that the heart sees what the mind can’t yet understand as truth… but will eventually learn, if it’s taught to be receptive and begins to trust its feelings and knowing. Heart wisdom, like a river, has depth and breadth often in places one least expects, revealing more beneath its surface than first thought. Ah yes, the ugly emotional truth is tough!

Compassion – “Release judgments about yourself and others, instead focus on the love and light that is within everyone”.

uan Yin is one of the most beloved and popular Eastern divinities, and is the essence of purity, nurturing love, and gentle power. She is a physically and spiritually beautiful Chinese goddess of mercy, compassion and protection. Her name means “she who hears prayers”. It is said that Kuan Yin does in fact hear and answer every prayer sent her way.

Kuan Yin is considered both a Goddess and a bodhisattva or “enlightened being”. Bodhisattvas can become Buddha’s however, Kuan Yin had such a deep love of humanity that after she attained enlightenment, instead of ascending to Buddhahood, she chose to remain in human form until everyone of us becomes enlightened. She is devoted to helping us fully open up to our spiritual gifts; attain profound knowledge and enlightenment, to reduce world suffering. It’s said that the mere uttering of her name affords guaranteed protection from harm.

Kuan Yin is often called “the Mother Mary of the East” because she represents feminine divinity and Goddess energy in the Buddhist religion, in the same way that Mary radiates sweet loving femininity within Christianity. Kuan Yin teaches us to practice a life of harmlessness, using great care to ease suffering in the world and not to add to it in anyway.

Kuan Yin’s energy depicts Gentleness as the strength behind true power. It comes from feeding yourself with nourishing words, thoughts, deeds, intentions and all forms of food.

She helps us to attract only kind and gentle life lessons

and relationships. She helps us to transform harshness into gentleness by refusing to see anything but the shining light that’s within each person and situation. C

entral to Welsh myth is the Mabinogion, a 19th century translation of two earlier manuscripts (the Red Book of Hergest and the White Book of Rhydderch) compiled by Lady Charlotte Guest. These manuscripts represented a Welsh golden age as well as a rather mythological past of the British Isles. Four of the eleven stories found within the Mabinogion are referred to as the “Four Branches” and are believed to have been written around the 11th century. It is within these four stories that we meet four Goddesses – the better known Rhiannon (who appears in two of the stories) and Arianhrod, as well as the lesser known Branwen and Blodeuwedd.

In the second branch of the Mabinogion, we meet Branwen (whose name means “white raven”), the beautiful daughter of the ancient Irish Sea God, Llyr, together with her brothers, Bran the Blessed (the “crowned king of Britain”) and Manawydan, as well as their half brothers Nisien and Efnisien, all of whom reside in western Wales and live at Harlech (“Branwen’s Tower”). When Matholwch, the king of Ireland, expresses his desire to unite his land with the “Island of the Mighty” (Britain) in order that they both may become stronger, he asks for Branwen’s hand in marriage, to which proposal Bran agrees. However, during a feast to celebrate the betrothal, Efnisien is furious that no one consulted him about his half sister’s proposed marriage, and takes his anger out on Matholwch’s horses by cutting off their ears, an action which greatly offends the Irish king.

In order to amend the situation, Bran gives Matholwch the magickal Cauldron of Regeneration. This cauldron had been placed in Bran’s custodianship; its original owners were two giants who escaped persecution in Ireland.

A few years after having moved to Ireland with her husband and after giving birth to an heir, Gwern, Branwen’s favour with the local people begins to wane as they start to complain about their “foreign queen”. As a consequence, Branwen is banished to the kitchen where she is hit daily by the cook. For three years Branwen endures this treatment, during which time she trains a starling to speak, which in turn she sends to Wales to inform Bran of her plight.

Not long after this a couple of swine herds report to Matholwch of seeing a strange image moving towards Ireland, that of a forest upon the sea with a huge mountain and lakes either side of the ridge. Unable to find anyone

to interpret the image, Matholwch turns to Branwen. She advises that this was in fact her brother Bran wading across the Irish Sea, because there are no boats that he could fit into due to his gigantic size, and that he was bringing an army from the Island of the Mighty with him to rescue her.

Fearing war with the Welsh, Matholwch offers up his kingdom to his son, Gwern and then builds a house large enough for Bran and the men from the Island of the Mighty to fit into so that an agreement can be discussed. Things, however, are not as they appear, as to each of the one hundred pillars a bag is hung from a peg, within which is hidden an Irish warrior. Efnisien, sensing Irish treachery, discovers the proposed ambush and kills the Irish warriors without anyone else knowing. Upon greeting his guests, Matholwch invites them all to a share a feast where tragedy unfolds. Efnisien takes offence that his nephew Gwern does not come to him, so he picks up the child and throws him into the fire before anyone can stop him, and war breaks out between Ireland and the Land of the Mighty.

By using the Cauldron of Regeneration Matholwch acquired upon his marriage to Branwen to replenish themselves, the Irish quickly gain the upper hand. Efnisien, remorseful of having caused the outbreak of war, crawls into the cauldron whereby he stretches himself out and breaks it. In doing so, he also dies of a broken heart. As a result of the fighting, all the Irish are killed except for five pregnant women, and only seven of the Welsh survive to return home with Branwen, taking with them the severed head of Bran, who has also been killed in fighting. Once back on Welsh soil in Angelsey, Branwen cries, “Oi, a fab Duw! Gwae fi o’m genedigaeth. Da o ddwy ynys a ddiffeithwyd o’m hachos i” (Oh Son of God, woe to me that I was born! Two fair islands have been laid waste because of me!’). She then dies from a broken heart due to all that destruction that has been caused on her account.

The story of Branwen concludes with what is known as “the Assembly of the Head”. After seven years of feasting at Harlech, three magickal ravens, the birds of Rhiannon, appear and start singing. This is a sign for Bran’s head to be taken to the “White Mount” in London (the place where the Tower of London is today) where it is buried facing out towards the French coastline and is accompanied by the ravens. Legend has it that as long as Bran’s head and the www.sroyarose.com

ravens remain there, no invasion would come over the sea to Britain.

Branwen is considered to be one of the three ancient matriarchs of Wales, along with Rhiannon and Arianrhod, and as such, according to Jhenah Telyndra in Avalon Within, she is “the embodiment of sovereignty and the soul of the land”. This connection is strengthened by her being a custodian of the Cauldron of Regeneration as the cauldron is an ancient symbol representing the womb of the primeval Earth Goddess. Despite being mistreated by her husband, Branwen never calls for revenge as instead, her concern for the land is shown through her wish is for peace and reconciliation between the two countries. In The Celtic Goddesses Claire French points out that the true role of sovereignty is the concern for the land. This is because “the land is the foundation of all Life, both in Ireland and in Britain. If it is laid to waste, Life cannot continue.”

The role of sovereignty is also repeated in Lynne Sinclair-Wood’s Creating Forms from the Mist. Here it is suggested that Matholwych’s marriage to Branwen is actually a rite of kingship whereby sovereignty (represented by Branwen) is obtained. When Matholwych neglects his care of Branwen, it is up to Bran (as the other custodian of the cauldron) to retrieve it. Telyndra agrees by stating that whilst Bran is the king of the Island of the Mighty, it is Branwen who is the king maker, bestowing sovereignty upon the king of Ireland and unifying the two nations. Sinclair-Wood further suggests that the story of Branwen came at a time when the “lore of the cauldron” (the Goddess) is replaced by the “lore of man” in that “the male hero’s head [Bran] replaces the womb of the Great Mother (the cauldron) as the source of wisdom and power in the land.”

Branwen is also known to be the “Venus of the Northern Sea” with her long dark hair and pale skin, equating her to the Greek Aphrodite. Her love is seen in the deep empathy and compassion she shows for both the land of her birth, Wales, and that of her marriage, Ireland, regardless of the latter having not received her in the same way. She has ability to interpret the swine herds vision when Ireland’s own oracular priests could not indicate a gift of prophecy. She also foresees the outcome of any battle for both lands if peace is not obtained.

According to Telyndra, Branwen is also the voice of the Unconscious self as well as the response of the Conscious.

She understands that it is through experiencing the trials of life that we “find the seat of our souls” and in doing do, we are able to master the Self in order to fully come into our power.

Branwen can be called upon whether we are about to commence a new project or are faced with a new beginning. She can also provide us with inspiration in keeping to our “true” path when faced with so many choices.

Lead relates to Saturn. It is used for protecting against x-rays and radioactive material. From Roman times it has been used in the plumbing industry, mainly used as an alloy, in combination with other metals. Lead is highly poisonous and cannot be worn or ingested.

ost of us are always looking for new ways to look and feel better. Whether we try new ways of living, cleansing, herbs, exercise and whatever new diet that is out at the time, we’re always seeking the perfect thing to make us look better and feel better.

Raw foodists believe that eating a completely raw diet will be the panacea to optimal health and well-being.

Most of them appear slim and glowing and very excited to tell everyone that raw foods are the best way to live healthfully and lose weight. There are several books about eating raw and all of them say it’s the only way to be healthy. This belief is due to the idea that our bodies require only raw, living enzymes (the workers of the body). Our bodies do require enzymes, which gives us the ability to digest, rest, play and be active. They believe cooking food completely destroys all enzymes.

If you look at raw food recipe books, you will notice that you will need a food processor and blender to make most all of the recipes. Foods will call for either soaking or grinding in order to have a certain flavor or consistency.

Consider this a form of breaking down some of the cellulose fibers for easier consumption and assimilation.

You may also notice that nuts and seeds are required in almost all the recipes.

According to raw food author and expert, Victoria Boutenko, eating enough live greens is the key to health.

Victoria shares her raw food journey very openly and honestly. She has done a lot of research because she found that most raw foodists aren’t consuming enough greens.

She says in her lectures that after ten years of eating the typical raw food diet, their health began to suffer. She felt that it was important to be honest and share her finding with everyone. After a couple of years of research, study and experimentation, the green smoothie was what kept her raw and saved the health of her family and herself.You can find her story in her book “Green Smoothie”. She also shares that she will eat steamed kale every now and then.

Basically, eating greens both raw and steamed will bring benefit to a healthy life.

In the 1930’s, a Swiss doctor named Paul Kuchakoff, was the first to show that if you ate cooked food, your body would act as if it were invaded by a foreign organism. It would cause a high white cell blood count called digestive leukocytosis. Since this digestive leukocytosis was always observed in the blood after a meal, it was considered a normal response to eating. No one thought anything of it.

What Kuchakoff discovered was that after eating raw unaltered foods that the digestive leukocytosis reaction did not occur. He found that if a food had been heated beyond a certain temperature (unique to each food), or if the food was processed (refined, chemicals added), this always caused a rise the number of white cells in the blood. The name changed from digestive to pathological leukocytosis since the blood reacted to highly altered food. Many types of foods were tested and they found that if foods were not refined or overheated, they caused no reaction.

The worst offenders whether cooked or not were all processed foods, refined foods like flour and white rice or pasteurized /homogenized milk. Unlike the depiction of flesh eating Scarabs in films like The Mummy, the scarab is an important part of Egyptian religious and ceremonial rites. These fascinating little black beetles, roll balls of animal dung along the ground into holes, whereupon the beetle deposits its larvae which, when hatched feed upon the dung. This daily routine mirrored the daily cycle of the Sun through the sky so the scarab became associated with the Egyptian God Khepri, the God of the Rising Sun and many artefacts and hieroglyphs show the scarab pushing the sun along its course in the sky.

Scarabs were also symbolic of resurrection and winged scarabs were often placed over the hearts of the mummified deceased to aid in their final transition.
