2nd Grade MARKETPLACE

Our 2nd graders worked across many classes to become entrepreneurs. This was no easy task as students learned from various teachers on how to create and market a brand.

Ursuline teachers began the process by encouraging their students to create their own individual product. Each student would need to personally design and construct the product herself.

In Music, 2nd grade took their creativity to the next level by writing a jazzy jingle to advertise the marketplace. They worked in groups to brainstorm lyrics and melodies, voted on ideas, and recorded themselves singing the final jingle. Using Soundtrap, a digital music software program, they selected instruments and sound effects to perfect the song. Students then created their own choreography and produced the commercial in technology class.

Students in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades were able to purchase 2nd grader products. In keeping the Ursuline motto of Serviam alive, the 2nd graders chose to donate their profits to a local charity. Their teamwork and creativity truly shined in all aspects of the project!
