During the last week of our trip, we moved from pharaohs and their gods to the early Christian and Islamic periods. We drove to the Sinai to see St. Catherine’s Monastery. Back in Cairo, we visited the Coptic Museum and explored the mosques and madrassas of Islamic Cairo.
