Our journey through Scandinavia continued with an eleven-day voyage aboard Hurtigruten's M/S Nordlys, sailing north along
Norway's spectacular coast from Bergen to Kirkenes and back. Often called "the world's most beautiful sea voyage," the
route has linked coastal communities for more than 130 years, carrying mail, cargo, and passengers through narrow fjords
and open seas alike. Along the way, the Nordlys made more than thirty port calls-ranging from quick stops in tiny villages
to longer visits in towns and cities such as Alesund, Trondheim, Troms®, and Honningsväg. This timeless rhythm of sea and
shore offered not only sweeping views of mountains, islands, and midnight sun, but also a glimpse into the daily life of
Norway's coastal people.
