Turkey: land of East meets West, the bridge between Europe and Asia. Perhaps no other country in the world brings together the sum of mankind the way that Turkey does. If it isn’t the Cradle of Civilization, it surely is part of its nursery. In the month that we spent there, we had the opportunity to experience the diverse richness that Turkey offers. From isolated Georgian churches to cavernous urban mosques, from the classic ruins of cities past to towns teeming with the business of life, from lazy fishing villages to the lunar landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey revealed herself to us. Our visit coincided with the holy month of Ramazan, allowing us rare experiences along the more than 8,000 kilometers that Jake drove.
