Scott Richards Contemporary Art is excited to announce the inauguration of our new gallery space in San Francisco’s charming and storied neighborhood of Jackson Square. The gallery proudly opens its doors with Renewal, an exhibition of recent paintings

by Eric Zener, marking the artist’s first solo presentation in the Bay Area since 2015.

Renewal presents a collection of vibrant, large-scale, photo realist oil paintings that embody Zener's profound fascination with the transformative power of water. Whether immersed below the surface or making their ascent, his figurative subjects navigate the ethereal journey between exploring the unknown and basking in the clarity of light in a manner that is both haunting and beautiful.

"The sense of rejuvenation that we yearn for, whether it is ephemeral or long-lasting, is depicted in these paintings, with water as it’s allegorical vehicle," says Eric Zener, whose paintings are celebrated for their ability to transport viewers to serene, contemplative realms.
