Reward and Recognition
Southern Region Construction
At Fulton Hogan, people are at the heart of everything we do. Our success and achievements would not be possible without the individual efforts of our people.
To recognise the extraordinary work we do within Southern Region Construction, we have developed two new avenues to provide recognition and rewards to people in the categories of safety, people, our REAL values, sustainability and innovation.
These include the Good Work Shout Outs and the Southern Region Construction Quarterly Awards.
These new avenues for recognition will complement the existing annual Regional Good Work Awards.
Everyone deserves to feel valued for what they do, regardless of how big or small the achievement is.
I hope you take the time to read through these guidelines to learn about how you can nominate your peers for recognition.
I also hope these recognition programs facilitate more open conversations about excellent work and foster a stronger team culture of encouragement and celebration. Stay Safe

Good Work Shout Outs
Southern Region Construction
Frequency: Regularly
Each SRC project/office will have a platform in place to provide recognition on a regular basis. Some projects/offices will call this the Good Work Shout Outs. Your project may have a similar recognition platform in place with a slightly different name. This document will refer to peer-to-peer recognition as the Good Work Shout Outs.
WHAT ARE THE GOOD WORK SHOUT OUTS?
• Southern Region Construction’s new platform to provide peer-to-peer recognition on a regular basis for projects and departments that don’t have an existing recognition program in place.
WHY HAVE WE CREATED THE GOOD WORK SHOUT OUTS?
• The GWSO’s were created because our people told us in the Great Place to Work survey that they want to be recognised more frequently for their outstanding work and achievements
• The GWSO’s also capture the excellent work undertaken by our people, enabling us to put forward more people for the SRC Quarterly Awards, Good Work Awards and Industry Awards.
HOW DO I NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR A GOOD WORK SHOUT OUT?
• Employees and managers can nominate an individual for a GWSO via the online nomination platform
• Contractors and subcontractors can participate, however, they are not eligible to progress to the SRC Quarterly Awards or the Regional Good Work Awards
• Each nomination should provide a detailed response including the behaviour(s) demonstrated from the Fulton Hogan Good Work Award Criteria outlined on pages 13-14
• The employee’s Project Manager and/or People Representative is responsible for dictating the frequency recipient(s) are awarded and selecting recipient(s) from the pool of nominations
• Recipients of the GWSO (or your projects reward and recognition program) are automatically entered into the SRC Quarterly Awards (FH employees only).
