Introduction Funding the Future is a toolkit of learning and development tools that will help you to develop good practice in grant assessment.

The toolkit covers six sessions, two of the sessions are taught content, much like any training you may have received before.

Funding the Future – Participant Workbook Session 1

The work you do in these sessions will be assessed through a variety of means including:    

Observation by trainer Completed workbook questions A marked assignment Personal reflective journals

Two of the sessions are practical assessment sessions where you will have an opportunity to put your assessment skills into practice.

These sessions will be observed and assessed by both the tutor and your peers. The peer and tutor assessments contribute to your final evaluation.

The final two sessions are personal development opportunities that should be spaced apart by at least three months. The first of these personal development sessions takes the form of individual feedback from the tutor/grant manager/grant worker or whoever is delivering the programme. You will receive constructive feedback and guidance on how you can improve your skills as a grant assessor.

The final session takes place following your accreditation and combines a catch up/review session with a final personal development meeting with your trainer.
