MYSQUASH LAUNCHING IN 2024 On 31 January 2024 we will launch our new mobile friendly, digital engagement tool for Squash in New Zealand - MySquash. MySquash is for everyone involved in squash, whether you are a competitive or casual player, administrator, official, coach or just a supporter. MySquash will have two phases of release. The first, in 2024, will include an improved grading list, rankings and match history that will be powered by SquashLevels. For players whose clubs are using Hello Club or Frello, it will provide a one stop shop for the player to access all their squash needs. MySquash connects with our other platforms such as Squash NZ TV and SquashSmart. The second release phase, from early 2025, will see MySquash as the gateway into our new competition management system. This will be a full rebuild and upgrade of iSquash, which will continue to remain active throughout 2024 for interclub and tournaments. In 2025 we will also integrate our new affiliation model into MySquash, making it a clear and simple process for clubs and subscribers to access the benefits and features that suit them
The launch of MySquash and the consequent full rollout is key to future proofing squash in New Zealand. In development are new features that will attract non-club members to subscribe, enhance the experience of existing members, and save volunteers’ time. We know we are on the right track as several other sports and national squash federations are following our lead and will develop a very similar product for their members too. We acknowledge the expertise and support of our key partners Frello, SquashLevels and Anameg Consulting Ltd, who have all come together with Squash New Zealand Poipātū Aotearoa for this project and are excited to bring it alive in a few months’ time. MYSQUASH FAQ’S - PLAYERS When will MySquash be live and how do we access it? MySquash will go live on 31 January 2024. On this day, all current players in iSquash will receive a welcome email inviting them to activate their account in MySquash. User profile information will be transferred across from iSquash to make this process as simple as possible for players. If players do not receive the welcome email because their email address is incorrect, they will be able to sign up via a link on the Squash NZ website. Graded players will need to activate their MySquash account to be able to enter any graded competitions in 2024.
Does it cost to access MySquash? In 2024 clubs will cover the cost of access to MySquash for their members. In mid-2024 we will release more information on the new player subscription model which will be implemented with the phase 2 rollout, where new features will be released and players will have different subscription options available depending on the features they wish to access. How will the transition affect historical data and user profiles? In order to make the MySquash profile registration process as simple as possible for players, existing profile data from iSquash will be transferred to MySquash. Players will connect their profiles using their iSquash player code. Historic match data will also be transferred via SquashLevels, so players will still be able to see their last 12 months’ worth of match history in MySquash.
Can we still enter early season tournaments prior to January 31st? Yes, you will be able to enter these through iSquash as per normal. However, you will still need to activate your MySquash account before entries close so that your new grading information will be updated within the tournament.
MYSQUASH FAQ’S - PLAYERS What is happening to iSquash? iSquash will continue to be used as a competition-only platform and players will require a login to both iSquash and MySquash for 2024 only. During 2024, iSquash will be completely rebuilt with new features ready for the 2025 season, which will be accessed only via MySquash removing the need for dual logins across both platforms.
How will MySquash and iSquash work together in 2024? Tournaments and interclub will still be run through iSquash. Graded players will need to activate their MySquash account to be able to enter graded competitions in 2024. Player SquashLevels rating and grades, and profile updates will be managed via an automated connection between MySquash and iSquash.
