Mr. Circle F 157/7 has been the most influential sire ever at Circle F Farms. We raised this bull, sold him in our production sale, and after seeing his first calves purchased him back. The first calves by 157/7 were all that we could have asked for as they were phenotypically superior, had the best carcass scans, were performance progressive, and backed by proven genetics. The sire to 157/7 was one of our foundation herd sires when we started while his dam reached the Maternal Merit Cow status due to her fertility and superior calf raising ability. At over 9 years old, 157/7 is still breeding naturally and heavily used both natural service and in our IVF program due to the superiority of his offspring. To further validate the quality of this sire in 2023 we were approached by the University of Florida requesting semen to implement into their performance-based research program. The genetic predictors of 157/7 match his production as calves are born small, have moderate growth, and superior carcass quality ranking in the top 20% for Ribeye Area and 2% for Marbling EPD’s.
