OVERDOSE PREVENTION IS A PRIORITY. Prioritizing overdose prevention means addressing substance use with compassion and understanding. It involves strategies that reduce drugrelated harm such as poisonings, injuries, infections and deaths. It takes a public health approach focused on preventing substance use, minimizing risks and responding effectively. This includes incorporating evidence-based practices, safer prescribing methods, and promoting peer recovery support alongside cultural awareness. Let’s help end overdose and uplift each other mind, body, and spirit.
