welcome letter from our ceo CARLY COLGAN Spring is in the air at South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity. A reminder that with each season there are opportunities for new beginnings. As we prepare to celebrate volunteers, present keys to new homeowners, schedule more critical home repairs, hold Women Build 2022, and break ground on a new project, I am astonished at the forward motion that we have created and reminded of the uncertainty we felt just a short time ago. Our organization is busy creating lasting change for all of our neighbors and I am grateful that you are a partner in our journey, helping to create safe, stable, affordable housing in Thurston county.

Bringing people together and empowering families through shelter, South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity invites you to celebrate three new Habitat homeowners.

Building New Hope in Deyoe Vista, Lacey On Saturday, April 30th, South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity will host a Home Dedication to celebrate three families moving into homes that they helped build with their very own hands. The Deyoe Vista community in Lacey is brought to life by hundreds of volunteers and donors each year to witness the transformative power of homeownership. Join us as these three partner families receive the keys to their new homes.

Women Build 2022

EVERY WOMAN has the power to change the world

This year, our Women Build event looks a little different. Our first "Sponsor A Stud" event is where a family, business or organization can sponsor a stud for a home construction build, make their mark on it and return it so it can be built into one of our upcoming homes.

Sponsorship Opportunities: Calling all businesses, organizations, individuals, families, restaurants, groups, and churches! Reserve your studs: $100 per stud or $1000 for 12 studs.

Get Creative!

Decorate your stud! Use paint or markers to design your stud! Write an inspirational message or quote, paint a design, or place your logo on your stud. (Please do not cut or attach anything to your stud) Reserve your STUD! If you’ve ever created a website or gone through a website rebrand, then you already know the process is lengthy and a lot of work. We have been chugging along, and our brandnew website is ready. Which means, you should totally give it a visit!! Click all the buttons, read some blog articles, and even donate!!! Ya know…just to test it out (wink)! We are really excited and proud to have a space that holds our story, and we encourage you to be a part of that story too!

This means we want to see you, hang out with you, and learn more about you. You can do this by volunteering at one of our amazing stores. Attending an upcoming event.

If you haven’t heard the great news yet!! Our Deyoe Vista development in Lacey is just about complete. On April 30th we will be giving our last three families the keys to their very own brand-new homes! And we would love for you to come gather with us, outside and celebrate such a beautiful new chapter for our partner families!

As Deyoe Vista finishes up, we will be starting a brand-new development in Tumwater. Please take a moment and read the Tâlícn press release. We are so excited to open up applications for these brand-new townhomes later this summer. Please help us by spreading the word to your friends and family. Everyone deserves a decent place to call home.

meet vic VIC MOEROLLA IS OUR VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR. HE HAS BEEN WITH SOUTH PUGET SOUND HABITAT FOR ONE YEAR. ORIGIANALLY FROM SAN FRANSISCO AND HE CURRENTLY RESIDES IN LACEY WASHINGTON. VIC IS A VOLUNTEER OF MANY ORGANIZATIONS AND LOVES TO SPEND HIS TIME GOING ON CRUISES AND HIKING!
