Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is…
RESTORE RENEW REBUILD
EACH YEAR THE SPRING HARVEST PLANNING GROUP JOINS TOGETHER, WITH EARS OPEN AND HEARTS READY TO HEAR FROM GOD, AS IT PRAYS INTO THE EVENT THEME. WE KNEW Restore, Renew, Rebuild was a prophetically powerful theme for these challenging times. As we look ahead into 2022, we want to build back stronger. As we unpack our theme, we’ll draw inspiration from Nehemiah who led the restoration of Jerusalem’s city ruins. We’ll see how God worked through him and his people to accomplish His purposes. Let’s get a little head start here on our three powerful theme words…
RESTORE “When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.” (Nehemiah 1:4, NIV) ‘Restore’ brings us back to basics as we delve into Nehemiah. It’s not about recreating replicas but re-assessing and building back stronger.
When Nehemiah first hears about Jerusalem he not only weeps but also prays and fasts for his people. God was going to use him, but first He had to do something in Nehemiah’s heart. Any great work of God begins with God doing a great work in somebody… and that somebody is us – His Church.
RENEW “May the king live forever! Why should my face not look sad when the city where my ancestors are buried lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?” (Nehemiah 2:3, NIV) Perhaps the key question we’ll be exploring around this simple yet profound word is, “How do we renew our focus?” In a world vying for our attention, it’s easy to lose our true focus.
God renewed Nehemiah’s focus through prayer. God’s vision for Jerusalem became Nehemiah’s vison. Sometimes we may be filled with faith and have a heart for change, but lack vision… specifically, God’s vision. As we align ourselves back to God’s heart, our focus shifts as we head in the opposite direction to the paths that once led us into rubble.
REBUILD “I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me. They replied, ‘Let us start rebuilding.’ So, they began this good work.” (Nehemiah 2:18 NIV) The next stage is all about mission and strategy, and how to implement

these to see neighbourhoods and communities powerfully changed. Rebuilding is about more than making a plan or the ‘bricks and mortar’ we use - it’s about participating in the process, being available to what God is doing and joining with His work.
A MOMENT OF REFLECTION… GOD ISN’T LOOKING for finances, intelligence or whatever else the world tells us we need. He isn’t defining us by past mistakes nor is He restricted by our limitations. He is simply looking for our availability. None of us is perfect. However, as Nehemiah humbled himself before the Lord, he trusted God’s power to guide and move through him so he and his people could rebuild the city. Think about how God wants to rebuild your life, your community or your church. Do you ever feel inadequate? Ask God what may be hindering you from fully embracing what He wants to do in and through you.
We can’t wait to delve deeper into these three powerful and timely words with you next year! We don’t want to build backwards but forwards to all that God is going to do. So, don’t miss out as we look at what it means to live out the mission of God as we Restore, Renew, Rebuild.

What inspired you to become a speaker?
Which three words best describe you?
I began to realise I had evangelistic and speaking gifts as a teenager and thanks to YWAM and my local church I was encouraged to step into opportunities. But it was a prophetic word that God used to call me into full-time ministry 23 years ago.
A creator, coffee-lover and fun!
Tell us about your favourite Spring Harvest moment so far?
Tell us about your favourite Spring Harvest moment so far? That would be back in 2018 when Hae-Woo, a persecuted Christian who had been imprisoned in North Korea for her faith, led us in worship singing ‘Amazing Grace’ in Korean!
A big part of my calling is to be a teacher and I count it a privilege to teach those who desire to know, love and worship God with their lives. It’s a golden opportunity to offer what I have to bless others and be blessed in turn.
It was in a youth venue in 1994. A group of us had been worshipping using the pots and pans from our chalet as percussion and we were invited to lead in the venue. It was so simple but there was a tangible moment of God’s presence falling in that place. It was really beautiful.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
What is your favourite worship song at the moment?
Purchase a good blender – it’s amazing for breakfast smoothies or soups and you get your five a day!
As a leader, listen to the Holy Spirit all the time. The Lord cares about the details and will often lead us through step by step.
‘Wait on you’ by Elevation Worship and Maverick City… I can’t get enough of that song!
What’s your favourite worship song at the moment? ‘More Than Anything’ by Sunday Service Choir. Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is Restore, Renew, Rebuild - what do these three words mean to you? Restore: fill up what has become empty. Renew: make fresh what has become old or stale. Rebuild: take time and energy to recreate what has been lost.
I count it a privilege to teach those who desire to know, love and worship God with their lives.” DR SELINA STONE
What is your favourite worship song at the moment? ‘Tremble’ by Mosaic MSC. Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is Restore, Renew, Rebuild - what do those three words mean to you? These three words sum up the moment in which we find ourselves in the UK church. We have suffered loss alongside our neighbourhoods and nation, and it is time to rebuild - but we need the Lord to restore and renew our strength, to revive us as his people.
We need the Lord to restore and renew our strength, to revive us as his people.”
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Never rush to respond in a stressful situation. Always pause, hold back and take your time to respond with balance.
Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is Restore, Renew, Rebuild - what do these three words mean to you? I’m excited by what these words mean for us. God is always wanting to do the new thing with us. As we rebuild, we get to walk with God in what He’s doing. They also remind me that we worship a God who wastes nothing; all of the broken bits of the universe get put back together by Jesus on the cross.

KEES is a worship leader, songwriter and the lead pastor of a fast-growing church in The Netherlands, Mozaiek0318.
SHELDON BANGERA is a worship leader, songwriter, music composer and producer from Mumbai, India, and joined us at Spring Harvest Home ‘Unrivalled’.
US & HIM is a worshipful space for people to disconnect from the noise of life and connect with God.
He also leads Mozaiek Worship - training and equipping worship leaders to serve their local church.
SPOTLIGHT Which three words best describe you? In one phrase I’d say a homely, singing (grand)father! Tell us about your favourite Spring Harvest moment so far? In Skegness, we all started dancing for Jesus. However, it seems that the risers [the raised seating area] were not built for a dancing church. We’d often sing ‘This is Jesus’ and every time we shouted “everybody dance now” we were also told to shout “except on the risers”. What are you looking forward to most at Spring Harvest 2022? I can’t wait to hear more about church planting. Our church has been involved in this before but there is still so much to learn. I’ll come hungry and open to learn! What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Years ago, I often found myself very tired and thought I just needed a break. However, a friend said: “Kees, you don’t need rest, you need peace!” What is your favourite worship song at the moment? ‘Come Holy Spirit’ by Martin Smith.
The live worship from SH Home 21 is now available as a digital live worship album, featuring Tim Hughes, Kees Kraayenoord, Muyiwa, Lucy Grimble, Sheldon Bangera, Lou & Nathan Fellingham, and Helen Yousaf.

Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is Restore, Renew, Rebuild – what do those three words mean to you? Those three words sum up the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus, for me. We used to believe that the Gospel just meant about people’s salvation. While this is important, I’m continually learning that the church’s mission is to restore, renew and rebuild in order to see God’s Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!

SPRING HARVEST NEWS
From 2016 to 2018, Sheldon and his band travelled to more than a hundred cities in India by road, reaching out to half a million people as part of the ‘India On Wheels Tour’. Sheldon has travelled extensively across the USA but most recently joined for Spring Harvest 2021 online. His worship songs have been viewed over 33 million times on YouTube but his heart for ministry, evangelism and to see the Kingdom of God built is the focus of it all.
SPOTLIGHT Which three words best describe you? Music, mentoring and missions. What are you looking forward to most at Spring Harvest 2022? I am looking forward to seeing the whole church come together as one, irrespective of any denomination. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Focus on building people not stuff. What is your favourite worship song at the moment? ‘Another In The Fire’ by Hillsong. I have witnessed God be with me in the most recent and intense fiery seasons lately. Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is Restore, Renew, Rebuild - what do those three words mean to you? These three words remind me of the truth that God always restores and makes greater than before, He always renews newer than brand new and rebuilds higher than what was previously standing. He never disappoints.
I am looking forward to seeing the whole church come together as one.” SHELDON BANGERA
Started by Jake Isaac and Lucy Grimble as a response to the need for places of worship in the heart of busy London, they will bring their beautiful approach to worship to Spring Harvest 2022. We caught up with Lucy and asked her a few questions…
SPOTLIGHT Which three words best describe you? Creative, intentional and forgetful! What are you looking forward to most at Spring Harvest 2022? I’ve led worship at the last two Spring Harvest events which have both taken place virtually due to the pandemic. I’m really looking forward to coming safely back together and experiencing the full event in person! What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? I’ve received so much great advice over the years! However, one of my favourite pearls of wisdom is that comparison is the thief of joy. It’s so important to not compare yourself and your journey with someone else’s - no two people are the same and we are all uniquely valuable. We need to remember to embrace and celebrate what God is doing in our life rather than wishing we were living someone else’s! What is your favourite worship song at the moment? I have loved leading ‘Living Hope’ by Phil Wickham – I love to sing about the power of the cross and the way that truth is expressed in that song is really powerful. Our theme for Spring Harvest 2022 is Restore, Renew, Rebuild - what do those three words mean to you? These words point to the ultimate redemptive nature of God – that He can take any situation, no matter how broken or ‘beyond repair’ and still bring beauty out of it because that is who He is. It means that we never need to lose hope because God can always do something to redeem a situation!
I’m really looking forward to coming safely back together and experiencing the full event in person!” LUCY GRIMBLE

SPRING HARVEST HARROGATE WE’RE SHAKING the foundations of Harrogate a little and we can’t wait for you to be part of it! As we take inspiration from our theme Restore, Renew, Rebuild, we’re revolutionising our programme for Harrogate, so expect the same flavour of Spring Harvest but with an exciting twist. As you prepare to join us next year, here’s a little taster of all things Harrogate. So, be prayerful and expectant as we join back together in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside in 2022!
BEATRICE SMITH, CONFERENCE MANAGER FOR SPRING HARVEST HARROGATE
HARROGATE IN THE HOTSEAT WITH BEATRICE SMITH What inspired Spring Harvest Harrogate? For years, we’ve been wanting to make Spring Harvest more accessible to Scotland and the North of England. Our heart behind starting Spring Harvest Harrogate back in 2018 was to provide a space for individuals, families and churches in the North to come together and to help equip them for action. We cannot wait to come safely back to the Harrogate Convention Centre as we worship, learn and laugh together under one roof. What can guests expect for Harrogate 2022? If you have been with us before, you will recognise much of the same great quality Bible Teaching, worship and community that Spring Harvest is so well known for. There will be seminars and workshops, passionate worship, a diverse range of speakers and subjects, plus exciting ‘After Hours’ sessions. If you are new to us, we know you will enjoy the beauty of Harrogate town and the comfort of the Convention Centre as you
explore the cafes, culture and convenience of Spring Harvest in the North. What makes Spring Harvest Harrogate different this year? Harrogate is for you if you’re a leader in any sphere, whether you lead a home group, a youth group or a church. Harrogate is for you if you’re a young adult or parent and you love getting together with other Christians to worship God. You’ll find a focus on church planting and revitalisation, plus a stream on mentoring and influencing. We’ve made the difficult but brave decision not to offer a family programme at Harrogate but will be caring for children under five so young parents can attend together. What are you most excited about for Spring Harvest Harrogate in 2022? Like many of you, the past couple of years of not being together with other Christians has been particularly difficult. I am also excited about the opportunity to see so many of you, who have already registered an interest in Harrogate early on, to learn together and pray with one another. It will be phenomenal, and I cannot wait! Who is going to be there? We have a fantastic line up of speakers and leaders who will be joining us in 2022. Selina Stone will be our Bible Teacher and Mozaiek Worship with Kees Kraayenoord will lead worship. Selina Stone is an incredibly gifted Bible Teacher and lectures at St Mellitus College. We are excited to welcome Kees to Harrogate for the first time and we look forward to hearing from them both as they bring what God has laid on their hearts for the Church today.
We are excited to have with us the Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication, who will be leading us in exploring Church Planting and how God might want to revitalise churches in the North following the global pandemic. SPRING HARVEST NEWS
WHEN WE MEET together to worship, learn, pray to and encounter the living God, lives are transformed. These incredible testimonies come from people who have previously joined us for Spring Harvest Harrogate:
“I have an overwhelming excitement to tell my mates about Jesus. On the first night I wrote down that I wanted to meet God in a fresh way - that’s exactly what’s happened.” “A girl had been praying for a non-Christian friend while attending Spring Harvest
Harrogate. She received a message from her yesterday to say she was going to join her at church that Sunday!”
“Before attending the event, we did not really follow God. We’ve made loads of good friends and we’ve given our lives to Jesus.”
“I’ve always believed that God is there but never felt his presence. I now have this amazing picture of Him reaching out to me.”
“Before I came here, I really struggled with life and church. This week I have felt I am with God again.”

SPRING HARVEST Our Digital Journey from Lockdown 1 till now… WE’VE NOT BEEN able to meet for two years, so Spring Harvest 2022 will be an incredibly special and unforgettable reunion. We have been truly amazed by all that God has done during our journey from Big Top to laptop. With 2020’s event cancelled at the last minute, we quickly moved our complete programme onto YouTube. On our first night, we broadcast live to
75,000 devices - our largest live gathering ever! We went on to reach 187,000 devices with a varied programme for all ages. But that week marked just the beginning of a digital journey in which we have been fully reminded that God is not limited by anything... including a global pandemic. Read on to learn more about Spring Harvest’s Covid-19 journey…
26-31 OCTOBER 2020 13-17 APRIL 2020 Spring Harvest Home 2020 An unforgettable week. Coming together in person wasn’t possible, but God brought the whole Church together digitally from our own homes.
Harvest Pop Up Instead of taking a flavour of Spring Harvest to local churches, we went fullon digital again during October half-term.
The first lockdown took Spring Harvest from lorries to laptops in just three weeks. Our first ever Spring Harvest Home went out on YouTube the week after Easter, exploring the theme: Unleashed - The Acts Church Today. It was a remarkable moment. Spring Harvest delivered the essence, vision and uniqueness of the event to equip the church for action in homes across the nation. Live captioning ensured we were accessible to all and speaker Patrick Regan shared about tackling anxiety and perfectionism. Remember our Big Start theme song, ‘Glow’? That got everyone singing!

This special time, with live and pre-recorded sessions for all ages, including loads of music and worship from Cheeky Pandas! Malcolm Corden’s daily Bible readings were perhaps a favourite. Waking up each morning to hear him powerfully unpack a Psalm brought refreshment and the opportunity to re-focus.

4-8 APRIL 2021 Spring Harvest Home 2021 Year two of Spring Harvest Home! With more time to prepare, we streamed the event on our brand-new website and provided a space for people to gather, chat and be ministered to. Brilliant speakers and worship leaders from the UK, The Netherlands, France, Nigeria and India helped unpack our theme: Unrivalled: Why we worship?
New Christians on our first night shared their special moments in the chat as they prayed the prayer alongside Rev Cris Rogers. Artist, Helen Yousaf, painted a prophetic picture highlighting the plight of 1,000 secret Christians through our special partnership with Open Doors.
We are so excited about joining together again safely next year in Harrogate, Skegness and Minehead. We believe the nation needs an event where the whole Church gathers from every denomination to dream a bigger dream and refocus. Spring Harvest is an opportunity for God to breathe new hope in to your busy, chaotic, normal life. Book into Spring Harvest 2022 and expect your life to be changed! Enjoy the Butlin’s facilities or explore the wonders of Harrogate as we complete our move from Big Top to laptop and back. We’ve got a theme to equip the church around the corner and around the world for ACTION and we can’t wait to explore this with you next year!

‘GOD ENCOUNTERS’ THAT STIRRED PEOPLE TO ACTION SPRING HARVEST provides the space for God to meet us right where we are and impact us in new and fantastic ways.
that prophetically speaks to your heart, or a conversation that leads to new ideas, God has powerfully changed lives at Spring Harvest over the last 40 years.
It could be the God-dream that gets birthed inside you that has a long-lasting impact for the Kingdom of God. Whether it’s a worship song
We can take for granted things that have been around for a while, but sometimes we need to be reminded of the impact of these gatherings.
Our shared ‘God experiences’ together have created ripple-like effects that have inspired and moved the Church to action.

SPRING HARVEST NEWS
Spring Harvest provided a platform for gifted worship leaders like Graham to be led by the Holy Spirit to write new songs for a new generation. It was where many people first raised their hands, sang out spontaneous love songs to God and danced in worship.
Not only that, but it also reflected a larger movement within our annual Easter gatherings, sparking the next generation of worship leaders to rise up to their calling. Among them was Martin Smith, who clearly recalls walking into the Big Top at just 12 years of age…
“I can still remember the feeling of electricity passing through my body as I heard this music from the stage and 5,000 people singing their hearts out. ‘Shine Jesus Shine’ was the anthem the saints were singing and that was the moment the church in Britain went from feeling small to thinking big. MARTIN SMITH, WORSHIP LEADER
INSPIRED AND STIRRED by a new calling in 2005, Adrian Curtis left the banking industry to start Wales’ first ever food bank three years later in one of the most deprived boroughs in the UK. He later went on to pioneer the Welsh network of foodbanks and eventually led the UK network as national director. By the time Adrian left his work with The Trussell Trust in 2017, there were around 1,200 church-led foodbank centres in the network run by 420 organisations and supported by 40,000 volunteers, giving three-day food supplies to over 1.1 million people in crisis each year.
So, as you read these testimonies of lives disrupted and changed, we hope you’ll be encouraged and inspired for all that God will do in and through us in 2022.
PIONEERING WORSHIP GRAHAM KENDRICK has been synonymous with Spring Harvest since it first began back in 1979. It was there, where Graham introduced his notable song ‘Servant King’ in 1984.
TRIGGERING NEW IDEAS; INSPIRING NEW CHARITIES Since 2017, Adrian’s continued work with a range of Christian organisations has seen him leading the work of Hope Together in Wales, helping churches run debt advice centres with Community Money Advice and helping World Compassion build relationships with churches in the UK that help Christians in Iran, China, Myanmar and Cuba.
“Whilst in an evening meeting, the preacher said, “Are we worshipping the real Jesus, or a version of Jesus that suits our comfort zone?” It was these words that led my wife and I out of the banking industry and I started Wales’ first Trussell Trust Food Bank.” ADRIAN CURTIS, CHRISTIAN CHARITIES CONSULTANT
EQUIPPING THE CHURCH FOR ACTION Spring Harvest is there to equip people; it’s not a break just for ‘experiences’. It’s a facilitator, both of personal renewal and as a church resource.” RUTH DEARNLEY OBE, CEO OF STOP THE TRAFFIK
FOR RUTH, Spring Harvest was that moment where a conversation sparked a fire that has fuelled her life. In 2006, Ruth responded to the injustice of human trafficking, a global crime that was expanding at a rapid rate, by launching Stop The Traffik. However, this passion for justice didn’t only stir in Ruth’s
heart but also in the hearts of so many others, including younger generations. That’s exactly what happened for Abigail, a 15-year-old who was stirred with that same desire for justice to help put an end to modern-day slavery. Walking into the chalet that afternoon full of passion, she wanted to help in a very real, practical way, not just by feeling sorry for modernday slaves.
SPARKING A NATIONAL MOVEMENT DR KRISH KANDIAH founded Home For Good, a charity seeking to find loving homes for children in the care system. He is a passionate advocate for family reunification, fostering and adoption to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children nationwide. The organisation faced a massive challenge and was calling out for help. It desperately needed 9,000 more foster families in order to care for children in the UK. Who responded? The Church! Lots of families at Spring Harvest heard Krish speak of the need for fostering or adoption and responded to the call.
Spring Harvest brings us together; it sets our hearts on fire as we think about how we best serve our nation and our nation’s vulnerable children.” KRISH KANDIAH, FOUNDER & CEO OF HOME FOR GOOD
Alongside her brother, Elliot, she came up with the idea of hosting a variety show, bringing together their whole community, to fundraise for their charity. With the support of local businesses, they managed to raise around £2,000 to support Stop the Traffik.
Join our huge family of volunteers! YOU CAN ALSO be part of these history-making Spring Harvest moments by joining our extensive family of brilliant volunteers, where you’ll be serving our guests with your gifts, making friends for life and enjoying the event from a very different perspective.

Who’s ready for a dip? New venues and exciting extensions Butlin’s has recently introduced its brand-new all-weather entertainment venue called Studio 36 at both Minehead and Skegness. Built with accessibility in mind, they offer easy access for everyone.
Butlin’s award-winning indoor water park, Splash Waterworld, is safely open – ready and waiting for you to dive in next year! This means you can get set for some all-action family fun inside the huge family Splash Waterworlds, complete with exciting slides and flumes plus an area just for tots.
Entertainment for everyone As part of the Spring Harvest programme, you’ll find sports, music, comedy and art events for FREE. Or you could visit the on-site bowling alley, ice cream parlour, snooker hall or many more places to relax with friends and family, not forgetting the beach, of course!
At Minehead, the Reds entertainment venue has been extended. This means everyone’s got a bit of extra space and we’ll be able to seat 697 of you - about 300 more than before!
Accommodation for all
For kids, there’s a wealth of fun activities and most are included at no extra cost - rides for tots, soft play, adventure playgrounds and so much more.
With accommodation to suit the size and needs of every family and group, we’ve got you covered. Whether you have a sea view or look out over green gardens, you’ll love waking up in clean, cosy and comfortable accommodation.
Food for every fancy There’s a great assortment of restaurants to choose from, so why not add a dining package to your ticket to give the family chef a week off? If you prefer to provide for yourself, you can choose from a wide range of self-catering chalets.

Over 340 million Christians suffer persecution and discrimination – roughly one in eight. Open Doors supports the

Spring Harvest has really shown its heart for the persecuted church. When we gather in faith, fully expecting the Lord to move, He does!
In some places, like India, Christians have lost their jobs and been denied Covid relief aid and access to health care. Many church leaders have died of Covid and, even as infection rates ease, the economic fallout continues.

When Open Doors partners delivered vital aid during Covid-19, the pastor asked if we could provide food to help them serve the wider community. That church supported 100 families through lockdown – including the family of those who had beaten them up. It was an amazing example of forgiveness and Christ’s love and, as a result, the community’s attitude towards Christians has really shifted.

Within the last month alone, many families have reached out to us in need of support. If things have been challenging for you, please know that we’re still here for you. Our team of trained counsellors provides a listening ear for anyone in need of support through our CareLine service. CareLine is a confidential telephone and/or email service, which can be accessed by all adults in the UK and Isle of Man. They’ve been busy over the last year creating new resources to meet families at every point of need. Read what they’ve been up to below and find out how you can get involved!
SPENDING QUALITY time together is vital for every relationship but setting time aside to invest in one another can be a real challenge. So, we created a date night with a difference: Date Night in a Box.
But sticking to the boundaries and saying ‘no’ can be tough when you’re exhausted and patience is wearing thin.
WHATEVER IS HAPPENING in the world, family life still has its challenges.
All families experience ups and down and Care for the Family provides support and resources that can be accessed by everyone, whatever shape or size of family and at whatever stage of life.
STRENGTHENING COUPLES
PUSHING BOUNDARIES, not-so-silently protesting, and doing their own thing are all par for the course when raising littl’uns.
WE’RE HERE FOR YOU
We’ve recently finished filming Boundary Lines, our new event for parents of under fives, at a soft play centre! It gives mums and dads practical tips for setting loving limits as well as supporting them to use their parental authority, renewing their confidence to stand their ground (and keep their cool) and helping them to enjoy time together as a family.
Earlier this year we sent a mystery box to over 3,000 couples across the country, which included goodies and activities to be enjoyed alongside our online event that was streamed directly into their homes. The response was incredible, with one couple saying…
It has helped us to appreciate all the good things that we have already been doing, as well as getting us to think about what else we can do to take us from strength to strength.”
SUPPORTING THE BEREAVED
BECAUSE FAMILY LIFE MATTERS
FOR THE PAST 30 years we’ve been holding events for those dealing with a close bereavement – especially a partner at a young age or a child.
IF YOU’VE FOLLOWED our work for any length of time, you’ll probably know that one of the main ways we support families is through our events.
Our Bereaved Parent Support work has been taken over by Dave and Jane Park, bereaved parents themselves. As they put it: “We are in a unique position to walk alongside those in pain, to empathise and bring some hope and a future.” We’ve had to move our support events online, but we’ve still been able to connect with hundreds of people over the past year and help them begin to rebuild their lives, including
one individual who said, “It was helpful just being able to meet and talk with others who are experiencing the same pain and are not afraid to admit it.” Someone else has said,
This autumn, we’re back online with another great line-up! We want to strengthen families of all shapes and sizes, so we hope this line-up does just that for you and your loved ones, because family life matters. However, don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what others have told us… “Care for the Family events have never failed to be an amazing blessing.” “Your events are excellent – well structured, well delivered, and always pitched at the right level.”
To be with others who absolutely, instinctively know how you feel really helps.”
You can browse our events by visiting cff.org.uk/eventsonline - when you spot one that catches your eye, select your viewing date and we’ll sort out the rest.

STREET PASTORS JOIN US AT SPRING HARVEST FOR OUR NATIONAL GATHERING IN 2022 CARING, LISTENING, HELPING… These three words form the tagline for Street Pastors which, for nearly 20 years with faithful local church volunteers, has supported communities through the simple task of caring, listening and helping. From the first South London patrol in 2003 with only 18 members, Street Pastors, now one of many initiatives under the Ascension Trust umbrella, has evolved into a team of approximately 16,000 members across the UK. What started out to help keep the peace on the streets during the small hours has grown into an international movement of support, exploring how the Church can make a loving and positive impact and provide safety for the community. By listening to the community’s needs, building relationships with organisations, and working closely with local authorities and the police, Street Pastors is regularly called on to help move people to places of safety and support from vulnerable situations.
Aged from 18 to 93 (we’re still awaiting our first centenarian!), our teams share Jesus’ love and compassion with those who need it. A Street Pastor in her 60s proclaimed after her first patrol that ‘her faith had finally come alive’ as she was given a responsibility to put it into action. There is a noticeable difference when our Street Pastors are on patrol, with police saying they then issue fewer ASBOs. Handing out flip flops to prevent cut feet is another way our teams have allowed A&E departments to focus on more serious incidents. In some areas, Street Pastors are lovingly called the Fourth Emergency Service. Founder, Les Isaac, often recounts the story of a young man who met and spoke at length with some Street Pastors. After they offered to pray for him, he gave them all a loving embrace and said,
I came out to get smashed tonight, but instead the Holy Spirit has smashed me!” But it’s not just on the streets where our pastors make a difference: Rail Pastors actively intervene on station platforms to show
