WASHINGTON DC FLY-IN A SUCCESS CHAMBER, COMMUNITY LEADERS SHARE PRIORITIES

The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance on this year’s annual Washington DC Fly-In in June to meet with our Congressional Delegation.

Twelve community leaders representing business, health care, education, city government, county government, and labor interests held meetings with Senator Durbin, Senator Duckworth’s staff, Congressman LaHood, Congresswoman Miller, and Congresswoman Budzinski.

Mayor Misty Buscher led the discussion on the City of Springfield and Sangamon County 2023 Priority Funding Requests. All the meetings were well received, and we look forward to continued federal support on these identified projects and other projects for our community.
