Paying For and Claiming Your Items Items may be paid for and claimed at the Cashier at approx. 8:00 PM. Cash, checks, and major credit cards are accepted as payment for items.

Auction items purchased are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by IRS regulations for charitable gifts.

Only the difference between the fair market value of the items and the final purchase price qualifies as a charitable gift.

Special Notice regarding auction items containing alcoholic beverages: In accordance with state liquor laws, auction items containing alcoholic beverages may be picked up at the Springfield Arts Council office on or after Tuesday, March 12, 2019 between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

This program includes descriptions of auction items received by the Springfield Arts Council prior to our program printing deadline.

Items received after our catalog deadline will appear in a printed addendum the evening of the auction.

Unless otherwise noted in the bid description, items purchased at tonight’s auction must be redeemed not later than March 1, 2020.

14 The Lion King's Mufasa Mask

The sculpture, paint theme, and textural embellishments of this Mufasa mask were inspired by The Lion King's Broadway production for use in the Springfield Art Council's Youth Arts Ambassadors' 2018 performance of The Lion King, Jr. The Mask was a collaboration of artists Andy and Susan Kittles. Susan graduated from The Columbus College of Art and Design, and Andy from the School of Advertising Art. Andy sculpted the 3D mask out of clay, Susan then created a plaster cast mold from the clay, painted the casting with acrylics and added textural embellishments of wood, handmade paper beads, and jute fibers.

(Proceeds from this mask will benefit the Youth Arts Ambassadors and Arts Education programs.)
