From the Director... Thinking about how far the Youth Arts Ambassadors have come over the last 6 years makes me very proud. This program has grown immensely, and become a second family to young people all over Clark County, and the surrounding area. This “family” is made up of our YAA members, directors, and the parents and siblings of those people. Together, we all work hard to not only create beautiful theater, but build a network of individuals, from different backgrounds, to support and care for each other. I’m ecstatic to be able to continue to present quality performing arts programs right now. YAA has been doing virtual programming since March; and while it has been challenging, the connection to each other has been vital for all of us. Our focus has been on supporting one another, and tapping into our creativity to find new ways to connect with each other. I am so proud of this group for continuing to have faith in each other and being willing to leap into unknown territory to keep creating theater together. The Youth Arts Ambassadors have a reputation for producing great theater, and 12 Incompetent Jurors is no exception. This show is witty, ridiculous, fun, and surprising. This cast of 17 students have been working hard to come up with entertaining characters for you to enjoy. While we are sad we can’t all be in a theater together, we’re excited for you to experience this production with us from your home! So, sit back and relax on your couch, bed, kitchen chair, or wherever you may be, and enjoy this hilarious virtual production of 12 Incompetent Jurors. Thank you for supporting the Springfield Arts Council Youth Arts Ambassadors!

But unfortunately, she wasn’t too good at them and was so worried about letting her teammates down, that she quit, but she focused on more of her musical talents. She got more into piano and took up clarinet in her 5th grade band class. She learned songs such as Hedwigs Theme from Harry Potter and I See the Light from Tangled. And when she was in seventh grade (at Roosevelt Middle School) she got to play in the highschool pep band at highschool basketball games. Being a fan of music, she got really into How to Train Your Dragon and The Greatest Showman and enjoyed their awesome music. She had always been really into Percy Jackson, and now that she’s older and more mature she can enjoy them even more. With maturity Peri had come to think more about her plan for the future. She had always wanted to be a fashion designer, but she thought owning a nice bakery would be calming. 2020 has kind of had her in a mind jumble and she’s not really sure how it’ll go from here. Stay Groovy! “Special thanks to: My mom. My dad. All of my friends. And sometimes by brothers.” 8
