Elton Rohn: North America’s Premier Elton John Tribute Show
The Springfield Arts Council’s 2022 Summer Arts Festival presents ELTON ROHN: North America’s Premier Elton John Tribute. ELTON ROHN is thrilling audiences everywhere... the only Elton John tribute asked to play the Elton John convention in Las Vegas where they met Elton’s band. (Even Nigel Olsson - Elton’s long time drummer said, “Elton has a twin!”) Audiences are amazed at just how close this show sounds to the real Elton John. As Elton, Ron Camilleri captures the vocals, the piano, the look and the feel of a real Elton John performance. The passion, energy and those incredible vocals are there. Performed live (no tracks), ELTON ROHN is the closest you’ll get to the real 70’s Elton sound! EVENT PARTNERS

• • • the special thank you’s and acknowledgements • • • The Heritage Center of Clark County Roger Sherrock Kasey Eichensehr Terry McGonigle Trudie Byrd Clark State Theatre Arts Program Theresa Lauricella Ohio Performing Arts Institute (OPAI) The Springfield Arts Council Board of Directors The 1972 musical PIPPIN uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by the Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance. While the protagonist, Pippin, and his father, Charlemagne, are characters derived from two real-life individuals of the early Middle Ages, the plot is fictional and presents no historical accuracy regarding either. Ben Vereen and Patina Miller won Tony Awards for their portrayals of the Leading Player in the 1972 Broadway production and the 2013 revival, respectively, making them the first actors to win Tonys for Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress in a Musical, for the same role. The music from PIPPIN has received a significant amount of coverage from other artists. “Corner of the Sky” has been covered by The Jackson 5, Dusty Springfield and Petula Clark. The Supremes covered “I Guess I’ll Miss the Man” in 1972 and Michael Jackson released a cover of “Morning Glow” in 1973. Pippin’s original 1972 Broadway production is currently the 31st longest-running Broadway show. 36

Brass Tracks Band
Nothing gets a crowd jumping like horn-driven rock ‘n’ roll and R & B, which makes BRASS TRACKS BAND the perfect band...” - Dayton.com Southwest Ohio based BRASS TRACKS BAND was born in 2013 out of an existing band called “Second Shift” who had been entertaining crowds around the country for over 30 years with the classic rock sounds of the 60s and 70s. To step it up a notch, the “Second Shift” members decided it was time to add a bit of flavor to their sound so they recruited an amazing brass trio, led by internationally renowned saxophone artist Hal Melia, which gave the group a whole new dimension. The concept of the band from the beginning was to pay tribute to the great rock, R&B and funk horn bands of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. The sound and power of the classic horn section just knocks people out. BRASS TRACKS BAND has quickly made an impact in Southwest they pay tribute to the sounds of Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Tower of Power and other great bands of yesteryear! Phil Dirt and The Dozers
PHIL DIRT AND THE DOZERS, America’s premiere “Rock ‘N R’oldies” review (and the most popular vintage rock and roll show in the nation) will help you recapture those wonderful days of vintage oldies, transporting you to another time and place - the 50s, 60s, and 70s of Rock and Roll! A Summer Arts Festival tradition - with more appearances in Veterans Park Amphitheater than any other act - PHIL DIRT AND THE DOZERS’ Festival appearances are almost as nostalgic as the music they present! Imagine hearing The Four Seasons’ Sherry with the original falsetto vocals intact… or the hauntingly beautiful Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody or You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling …or the beautiful ballads of Roy Orbison including Pretty Woman and In Dreams. And imagine the Platters’ soul-stirring Only You performed with all the scratches and skips found on a well-worn 33 1/3 record, the way The Dozers first learned it! PHIL DIRT AND THE DOZERS’ nostalgia show encompasses three decades of great music, and is performed absolutely live with a sophisticated yet light-hearted approach you’re certain to enjoy!
