Nababeep cops pounce on illicit money
The Nababeep police, while executing Operation Vuthu Hawe actions, apprehended and arrested three male suspectsonThursday,May11, 2023, for contravention of the Immigration Act The team, during their normal patrols along the R355 road, stopped and searched a white NP300 Nissan "bakkie" as a routine inspection They detained the three occupants for not being able to clarify their foreign status under the Immigration Act On further inspection, theyfoundR52170,00incash that belonged to one of the occupants who could not give a proper account of the money On the same road, the police stopped and searched another vehicle and found R510,170 in cash that could also not be accounted for Three suspects, aged 27, 37, and 40 years, respectively, were arrested and charged with contravention of the Immigration Act Two inquiry case dockets were opened for the cash seized The three suspects are expected to appear in Nababeep Magistrate Court soon. Policing the illegal movement of money is one of SAPS's priorities, and the police will not leave any stone unturned incurbingthiscrime.

Employment and Labour leads careers fairs in Northern Cape
The Department of Employment and Labour, in collaboration with other government departments, Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), and the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality, will host career fairs as part of the National Careers Week from May 24 to 26, 2023.
