The concept of citizenship has always been strongly linked to the notion of rights, especially political rights, which allow an individual to act in the direction of public affairs of the state, participating directly or indirectly in the formation of the government, to vote, etc. However, in a democracy, the definition of right, presupposes the counterpart of duties which is being used excessively.

In my opinion, at this moment in Portugal, the government is putting back a lot of pressure in the citizens and nd we will not allow this during a lot more time because there are families with nothing to eat, there are people whose livess are in a really deep hole, there are robberies happening, all these due to a guy that spent lots and lots of money building things that were not necessary at the time and now we are paying that. Basically our citizenship is constantly being put in risk, we need a bonded society not a society of protestants, so today let’s make our World a better one." Tiago Silva 11º E
