National Volunteer Week was established by Presidential Proclamation in 1974. It takes place the third week in April and provides an opportunity to thank all the thousands of volunteers across the country who keep many organizations running, communities safe and provide the services that otherwise would not exist without volunteers.
National Volunteer Week is not specific to a vertical and is observed by organizations and companies of all shapes and sizes.
It’s a great time to consider volunteering or providing support to those organizations vital to your community.
