November 7, 2021 Dear Prep Family, The annual Saint Peter’s Prep Fashion Show is a terrific celebration of the lifelong connection Prep families have with Grand & Warren. After an 18-month stretch like no other filled with too much disconnection, I am thrilled for the opportunity to gather today—to celebrate our Prep brothers and Prep sisters, old and new friendships, and of course, Saint Peter’s Prep. With that in mind, welcome to the Saint Peter’s Prep Fashion Show: Unmasking 150 Years of Fashion.

I am happy to say that the start of our 150th anniversary school year has us rolling full steam ahead. That great sense of connection is taking a strong shape again on campus as we bring together 910 young men from 130 communities in from three different states. You can feel the Prep spirit and joy in the classrooms and athletic fields, at parent and alumni events, and, I am sure, certainly today. Thank you so much—in small and big ways—for being a part of bringing that great energy to our sesquicentennial year.

By now you’ve likely heard me speak about how much my mom loved her 11 consecutive years as a Prep mom and how much she loved the Fashion Show. She took such pride in being a part of this Prep family—as I’m sure you do, too—and every year she looked forward to celebrating that pride with her fellow Prep moms. Although so much has changed in the 30 years since, today we share in that same celebration once again. So please join me in thanking the wonderful team that worked tirelessly to continue this tradition. I am so grateful for our committee co-chairs: Dana Broderick-Sanchez, P’23; Kathleen Cugliari, P’20, ’22; Margaret Cunningham, P’22; Wanda Grimaldi, P’19,’22; and Lori Heidenry, P’24. Thanks also to Dalma Santana for her incredible talent at making our Prep events a reality. Dalma puts together so many events, particularly in this sesquicentennial year, and it’s through her efforts that they are always filled with Prep magic.

I hope when our day is over today, you are lucky enough to be walking away with the tricky tray basket you wanted, or perhaps $15,000 of tuition money. But I also know how lucky we are to have this day to celebrate Prep together, and that each of us will be walking away today filled with that same Prep magic.
