EVA: Honestly, when I first met Shy I was scrolling through my newsfeed and seen him on a shout out page, lol. I was like who is this guy with all of these followers and no profile picture. So I decided to slide into his DMs. I texted him saying, “Hey, what you look like?” I’m very outspoken and bold. I just couldn’t resist asking. He responded with, “lol,” and texted “Invite me.” So I did! When I saw him, I was like omg he is so fine. I literally could not take my eyes off of him. I remember thinking to myself I better not mess this up.

AURA: I am smiling and have a warmed heart. It’s that kind of energy we all hope we’ll one day find. Undeniable attraction. How long have you been together now?

SPENCERS: We have been talking in real life for 6 months, but talked/dated in the game 2 to 3 months prior to actually face timing and calling each other.

AURA: You have moved your relationship into real life; how was the transition for both of you making that move from avatars to your real selves?

SPENCERS: Omg, where do we even begin. We would talk for hours on IMVU. Eventually, we began talking on the phone daily even to the point where we were falling asleep on the phone. It was actually a crazy, weird transition because we started calling each other ‘Bae’ on the phone and FaceTime after we got engaged on the game. We never really made it official, it just sort of happened and was understood over time. We live in two different parts of the USA so when we started booking flights that’s when we both knew it was getting real. When we met for the first time the attraction was so strong and there. We could not stop kissing, lol. We wouldn’t recommend doing this. It is very dangerous, but we seriously took a chance on love and wouldn’t change it for anything.

I guess it was easy for us because we truly enjoy each other’s personality, and the fact that we both were physically attracted in real life outside of the avatars was an even better blessing. It’s all odd how we became but we truly believe it was no mistake.

AURA: How is it combining your status as a couple with your status running the business? Does it ever cause strain on the relationship or do you think the business is easier to run because you are involved?

EVA: We are so happy to be working together. I remember Shy being the very first person I interviewed on my voice reveal radio podcast show. He has been with me from the very beginning of my editing days. We support each other’s desires and dreams. I just remember him telling me you are such a great model and video editor.

SHY: Yea, Eva walked away from modeling and the industry after failing at trying to establish two model agencies. Also after being harassed.

I watched her fall. But I was there to pick her up. My baby had us adopting kids and just doing something of everything, lol. I said Eva let me help you. I want you to start back modeling. I want you doing what you love on VU, this isn’t you. Anything Eva wants or needs, I’m there. She is truly talented and people need to see it. I will put anything behind my wife’s dreams just to see her succeed.

EVA: I love working with my husband. He’s my voice of reason and I know that his intentions and decisions are always for the best interest of the company. I truly feel protected working for my husband and could not have asked for a better business partner.

AURA: How do you think your love would describe your personality with 3 adjectives?

EVA: Shy would probably describe me as fussy, talented, and protective.

SHY: I think Eva would describe me as quiet, patient, and trustworthy.

AURA: How would you describe your leadership style?

SPENCERS: Our leadership style is just dedication. We love to collab and work with people who are truly committed. We are not the type to chase anyone down to complete job assignments we also believe in paying people for their talents. We support those who are striving to do their best. We love for people to be true to themselves but we also mean business.

AURA: What is your motivation for being in business in IMVU? What keeps you pushing through the challenges that come up?

SPENCERS: Our motivation is just making people feel good. Sometimes IMVU can be boring. So we decided to mix real life with virtual!

We also are heavy gifters and love helping the next. Giving people an unforgettable experience, building friendships, and even connecting new friendships is what it is all about.

What keeps us pushing through is the outcome and looking at the finalized product. It can be very challenging to stay in production schedule but once we realize our fans are watching we push through.

AURA: What else does Spencer Productions do; is there more in addition to Next Top Model?

SPENCERS: Spencer Productions is the VH1 of IMVU. We are a Gifting VU Reality Instagram TV Production Company. We bring to life real reality shows with virtual avis from IMVU! We love to get our fans and just the different people of VU involved!

AURA: Do you have any exciting plans coming up from Spencer Productions that you wouldn’t mind sharing with our readers?

SPENCERS: We definitely have a lot in store for everyone! We will be launching SPTV really soon! You can follow for all of our upcoming series! We are excited to announce that we have begun casting IMVU’s BAD GIRLS CLUB. Contestants will participate in a 4-week challenge of living in the house with other contestants. We are expecting things to be drama packed this first season.

AURA: I’m curious, what qualities do you look for when deciding who will become the Next Top Model, if that’s not a secret?

SPENCERS: Qualities we look for in IMVU’s NEXT TOP MODEL are someone who knows how to read and follow directions because we are always putting out information that could help our contestants win. We use flyers and commercials to communicate often. Fresh, new, hip styles. Someone who stands out from the crowd. A strong sense of creativity mixed with fashion and most importantly confidence and quick on their feet. We are always looking for someone who can take something out of the ordinary and make it their own! Sticking to the theme is important as well! This is what it takes to survive our IMVU’S NEXT TOP MODEL series!
