STUDENT AGE AND BACKGROUND Entry age: Jewish girls currently in Grades 5 and 6.

Background: Girls come from a large verity of schools – State, Private and Jewish schools alike.

PROGRAM DURATION Our main Bat-Mitzvah program is an 11-month, weekly program starting annually in early August.

The ceremony is held in June the following year.

Other program arrangements may be available upon demand.

TIMES The weekly programme runs after school, usually on Tuesdays (one hour in duration - 4-5pm and 5:15-6:15pm), during school terms. A number of groups run simultaneously – each group with up to 8-9 girls.

The overnight Shabbaton for the Bat-Mitzvah girls and families is an exciting and inspiring facet of the program. It is a celebration filled with tradition and fun; with a food-feast for the body and soul!

THE BAT-MITZVAH JOURNEY CULMINATES IN AN EXTRAORDINARY AND UNFORGETTABLE CEREMONY, WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Central to the moving ceremony, is the opportunity for each Bat-Mitzvah girl to proudly deliver her insights on a Jewish theme most inspiring to her, whilst sharing highlights of her personal journey to womanhood.

The ceremony includes a short educational and entertaining movie produced by the girls, and is followed by festive cocktails, dancing and celebrations.
