Welcome by Teddy West Teddy played soccer for Brighton and Hove Albion FC Academy from the age of 9 to 15. During this time he was offered a Soccer Scholarship at Ardingly College. Teddy became the youngest player in the Colleges history to win three back to back National titles (2014, 2015 and 2106). Teddy is technically very strong with both feet and has a high work rate. He plays as an attacking midfielder and is capable of changing a game by splitting open defences with precise passes. He is an extremely competitive player and his success has lead him to be selected for the National Independent School Boys squad U15, U16 and U18’s. 6th June, 2016 Background During the 2014/15 season, after trials for the England U16 ISFA South team, Teddy was selected to represent the South in matches against Fulham, Portsmouth and Millwall. During the trial process and the matches it was clear that Teddy was a very talented footballer and he stood out in these games. He was then selected from the trial match vs. the North of England to represent the England U16 ISFA National Team. During the season, Teddy represented ISFA in fixtures against a wide range of professional English clubs (and Portuguese clubs on the National Team’s end of season tour). England U16 ISFA South 2014/15 Fixtures vs. Fulham FC, Portsmouth FC, Millwall FC. Trial match vs. England U16 ISFA North. England U16 ISFA National Team 2014/15 St. George’s Park training camp. Fixtures vs. Bristol City FC, Crystal Palace FC, Brighton FC, Millwall FC, Ipswich Town FC. Tour vs. Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Massama. England U18 ISFA South 2015/16 Fixtures vs. Kent Schools, Essex Schools. Football Teddy is a superb footballer, an exceptional athlete and I have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending him. Throughout his time with the ISFA England National Team he excelled, bringing drive, energy, composure and winning mentality to the squad. Comfortable in a variety of positions, he was perhaps most at home in central midfield where he also impressed for the England U18 ISFA South side this year. Teddy is an exceptional athlete who appears to never tire and will run and run for the entirety of a match. However, he is so much more than a “runner” – he has that ability to control play, break lines and to really stamp his authority on a match from both central and wide positions. This is combined with excellent defensive awareness and the ability to break up attacks high up the pitch before threats develop. Throughout his season with the U16 National team, Teddy impressed both on and off the pitch. His “stand out” performance of the season came against a strong and extremely physical Sporting Lisbon side where he was a huge presence and really drove the team forward in both defence and attack. Personality Teddy is the perfect embodiment of an ISFA player – intelligent and talented yet extremely hard working and modest. His willingness to work hard within a team context and to do all that he can to succeed stood out in his time with ISFA. He is an extremely polite, engaging and well behaved young man who never oversteps the mark but strives again and again to do everything possible to win. Throughout his time with ISFA, Teddy continuously looked to improve and develop as footballer, seeking advice from both his National and school team coaches and implementing this with great success. He is extremely coachable, talented, is desperate to succeed and he would be huge asset to any football club, university or institution that is fortunate enough to secure his services.

Teddy was with the Brighton and Hove Albion Academy for 7 years, during which time he was a major part of the National Championship winning team in 2014. We play in the category one games programme which is the highest club level you can play at in England. Teddy would play regularly against the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool etc..
Teddy is a very technical player with a good range of passing and predominantly played on the right hand side either at full back or at right midfield. Teddy is very versatile and has a good knowledge of the game both from a tactical point of view and also from an analyzing perspective through technical analysis. Teddy is academically a high achiever which ultimately led to him leaving our academy as his school did not allow him to participate in our day release programme and therefore could not commit to the coaching hours needed as set down by Premier League rules.
Teddy is a very bright lad with excellent manners and sportsmanship, I would have no hesitation in recommending Teddy for a scholarship
