Ambition. One of the most fundamental parts in the creation of a successful and well rounded individual. I believe ambition, alongside a good dose of dedication and consistency, an individual can excel to that of an extremely high standard in all elements of life. As a result of this I am constantly setting and re-setting goals to ensure that I reach my full potential.

Having participated in sport for a very young age, it is definitely something of a lifestyle for me rather than a hobby. However, although athletics is the epicentre of which my life revolves around, it still provides me with the upmost enjoyment. I have competed at both national and international standard, representing England at the SIAB Schools Cross country international in 2013, where I took a silver medal.

Some of my greatest achievements within the world of running include becoming the English National Cross country Champion in 2013, as well as taking the Bronze medal in the 1500m at the English Schools Track and field championships the same year. In 2015 I was long listed for the World Youth Championships for Great Britain being just 0.08 outside the qualifying standard (6.45.08) and ranked 4th in the world at that time.

I am currently in the process of completing the AASE programme under British Athletics. This involves evaluating and understanding sports performance and alongside this we have been provided with many resources (nutrition, physiology and psychology information and help) that we can access at any point to further our knowledge. I feel this has benefited me greatly.
