PARKER College sport in America would provide the ideal platform for me to pursue my sporting goals alongside academic success. Although I am already a highly motivated and driven person with regards to track and academia, I feel I would thrive from the team environment and specialist support offered by an American university. The experience of learning at great academic institutions whilst training and racing will give me the perfect building foundations for my future.

I am particularly keen to live, train and study with likeminded student-athletes and use their experiences to enhance my own. Primarily, I believe the chance to train at an American university is an opportunity I cannot let pass by.

I have had the pleasure of being Hollie Parkers coach for the past 9 years, guiding her progress and development from an early age.

Hollie came to me very much as an endurance athlete with a “fun run� and cross-country background. Over the years with body changes and training we’ve developed her into a middle distance track athlete able to compete at a high level at both 800m and 1500m, building in a speed endurance base that will enable her to compete at higher levels as she matures and progresses within her sport.

I believe that there is nothing greater than having speed within an athletes arsenal, and Hollie is developing this very nicely whilst maintaining steady progression within her chosen disciplines.

Hollie is hardworking, enthusiastic, and single minded. She accepts that change and hard work have to happen to maintain a strong developmental course within her life and her sport and understands that sacrifices need to be made to enable her successes to continue.
