Bluegrass in the BurgHow It Started and How It’s Going
Bluegrass Spartanburg was started by a bunch of Bluegrass fans who just wanted to share the best of their favorite music with their community. Now six seasons later, that’s still what drives much of what we do. Fans sharing music with other fans in the most meaningful way possible - live.
At the height of the pandemic, this meant postponing a few shows, moving to a few new venues, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing. We are immensely proud that we never canceled a single concert - giving Bluegrass artists a place to perform when opportunity was scarce. Through it all, we are beyond grateful to our friends, fellow fans, and all who have supported us this last year and a half. On behalf of the Bluegrass Spartanburg Committee: thank you.
This spring, we look forward to returning to the Chapman Cultural Center - where the series began. We finish out our 2021/22 Season with Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, followed by Darin & Brooke Aldridge - two stellar duos we know will absolutely shine on the Chapman stage. Experiencing these incredible instrumentalists and vocalists, live and up close in a comfortable, acoustically warm performance space is what sets Bluegrass Spartanburg apart. We can’t wait to have fun sharing our favorite music with you.
