What You Should Know About Back Pain Lower back pain is the pain problem of most people nowadays. It is the most common cause of job-related disability. Acute back pain is the pain that lasts from a few days to few weeks whereas chronic back pain is the pain that lasts more than 3 years.

Causes of Back Pain ● Strains: Due to excessive activity, the muscles and ligaments in the back can stretch or tear. ● Disc Injury: With age, the disc in the back is much prone to injury. When the cartilage surrounding the disc pushes against the spinal cord then it is called a herniated disc. ● Sciatica: It occurs when a disc presses on the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is connected from the spine to the leg thus it can create pain in the legs too. ● Spinal Stenosis: it is a condition in which the spinal column gets narrows and puts pressure on the spinal cord.
