We are excited to invite you to our Annual Production Sale this year and to present this offering for your inspection! We truly enjoy getting to raise Angus cattle and marketing seedstock and are excited every spring to present the breeding decisions from two-years-ago for you to evaluate. This set of cattle has performed tremendously. They are the heaviest muscled bulls we have ever offered and the most uniform high-quality set of females we have ever sold.
Our focus long has been on making the best Angus cow we possibly can. We don’t tolerate mothering challenges, teat and udder size problems, or poor temperament. Cows that make us upset for any reason get culled, plain and simple. We don’t want problems and darn sure don’t want to pass them along to our customers. Through very careful sire selection, and heavy use of certain bulls we have been able to really advance our maternal objectives. We don’t use a lot of different sires, and for good reason. Our goal is to build a cowherd, stacked with like genetics, full of consistency and predictability, identifying the bulls that will make our females better each generation.
In our continual pursuit of female advancement, we have also really elevated our ET program. By doing this we can take our very best cows and rapidly assemble numerous daughters from them. The influence of our ET program reigns heavily in this year’s sale offering. Nearly 1/3 of the bulls are out of donor dams, as well as several of the feature heifers.
In short, it is truly our belief that if the cows work, everything else will fall into place. The female component of what we do has to be at the forefront of every decision. If the cows aren’t hard working, good uddered, good producing females, with excellent feet and fertility nothing else matters. There is no reason to accept problem cows and even less reason to keep them around.
This set of calves was weaned in late September and started onto feed well. We had a hot, fly ridden summer as did much of you in the northern plains. These bulls and heifers grew exceptionally well this past winter. As always, our bulls will be backed down on energy, transitioned to almost an entirely forage diet and ready to go to grass and get cows bred. These bulls live in large pens, get lots of exercise and will be sound, hard, heavy muscled, and ready to get to work. The heifers have been managed the same as always. Every heifer on the ranch gets the same ration, and these females are cycling, had their pre-breeding shot in mid-March and will be ready to breed immediately
All registered lots in this sale have genomic enhanced EPDs and are parent verified through the AngusGS test. By doing this, we ensure not only the pedigree we are selling but also offer the most accurate EPD data available. Scrotal measurements will be available on our web site by mid-April. (www.spicklerranchsouth.com)
As in the past, videos of each lot will be available two weeks before the sale. A link to the videos will be available on our web site as well as the DVAuction site. Online bidding will be available through DVAuction.com. You must register with them prior to the sale.
The sale offering and their dams are available for viewing anytime ahead of the sale. We would also like to invite you to our ranch on Sunday afternoon and evening to view the cattle and enjoy a supper that will be served Sunday evening at 6 pm.
We sincerely thank you for considering us as your genetic source. We truly enjoy raising Angus cattle and getting to provide seedstock for our customers. We know early May is a busy time, but we invite you to come out, evaluate our sale offering, have lunch and enjoy the sale!

Calving Ease Direct (CED) is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births, with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in firstcalf heifers. It predicts the average difference in ease with which a sire’s calves will be born when he is bred to first-calf heifers.
Birth Weight EPD (BW) expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Weaning Weight EPD (WW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Weaning Weight EPD (WW) expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Yearling Weight EPD (YW) expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Scrotal Circumference EPD (SC) expressed in centimeters, is a predictor of the difference in transmitting ability for scrotal size compared to that of other sires.
Maternal Milk EPD (Milk) is a predictor of a sire’s genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters compared to daughters of other sires. In other words, it is that part of a calf’s weaning weight attributed to milk and mothering ability.
The genetic evaluation produces a single set of EPDs for carcass weight, marbling score, Ribeye area and fat thickness. The units of measure are in carcass trait format and analyzed on an age-constant basis.
Marbling EPD (Marb) expressed as a fraction of the difference in USDA marbling score of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.
Ribeye Area EPD (RE) expressed in square inches, is a predictor of the difference in ribeye area of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.
WR - The number of calves a dam has weaned and their combined average 205 weight ratio (100 = average)
$Value indexes, are multi-trait selection indexes to assist beef producers by adding simplicity to genetic selection decisions. $Values are reported in dollars per head, where a higher value is more favorable. The $Value is an estimate of how future progeny of each sire are expected to perform, onaverage, compared to progeny of other sires in the database if the sires were randomly mated to cows and if calves were exposed to the same environment.
Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) - an index expressed in dollars per head, predicts profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from conception to weaning. $M is built off of a self-replacing herd model where commercial cattlemen replace 25% of their breeding females in the first generation and 20% in subsequent generations. Remaining cull females and all male progeny are sold as feeder calves. Increased selection pressure on $M aims to decrease overall mature cow size and improve foot structure and fertility while maintaining weaning weights consistent with today’s production.
Beef Value ($B) an index expressed in dollars per carcass, facilitates simultaneous multi-trait genetic selection for feedlot and carcass merit. $B represents the expected average differences in the progeny postweaning performance and carcass value compared to progeny of other sires. This index assumes commercial producers wean all male and female progeny, retain ownership of these animals through the feedlot phase and market these animals on a quality-based carcass grid.
Combined Value ($C) an index, expressed in dollars per head, which includes all traits that make up both Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) and Beef Value ($B) with the objective that commercial producers will replace 20% of their breeding females per year with replacement heifers retained within their own herd. The remaining cull heifer and steer progeny are then assumed to be sent to the feedlot where the producers retain ownership of those cattle and sell them on a quality-based carcass merit grid.
BW - Actual birth weight taken within 12 hours of age with a digital scale.
205 Wt - Weaning weight adjusted to 205 days of age.
205 Wt Ratio - The percentage above or below average (100=average) a bull is for his 205 day weaning weight.
365 Weight - Yearling weight adjusted to 365 days.
365 Weight Ratio - The percentage above or below average (100=average) a bull is for his 365 day yearling weight.
IMF - The percent intramuscular fat (marbling)adjusted to 365 days of age.
IMF Ratio - The percent above or below average (100=average) a bull or female is for its marbling scan within its contemporary group.
RE - Each bull’s ribeye area measured in square inches and adjusted to 365 days of age.
RE Ratio - Ther pecentage above or below average (100=average) a bull is for his adjusted ribeye area.
B. Fat - The off-test backfat measured in inches adjusted to 365 days of age.
B. Fat Ratio - The percentage above or below average (100=average) a bull is for his fat thickness.
We make every effort we can to provide meaningful and beneficial data to help make the most educated purchasing decisions possible.Starting with an actual birthweight taken on a digital scale, we also gather DNA at this point on every calf that will be incorporated into verifying parentage and the genomic enhancement of each registered lots Epds. Epds are a powerful selection tool, that can be readily used to compare the cattle within our sale offering for genetic differences. Every lot we sell has their Epds enhanced through the DNA analysis of the AngusGS test, providing further accuracy to each animal. We also provide ratios on each animal to provide how they ranked and performed against their herd mates. Ratios are a powerful tool, gaining real insight into how much above or below average cattle perform relative to their pen mates. Ratios should not be used to compare cattle between different herds, although Epds can and should be used to compare cattle across different herds.
Coalition came to us from U2 ranch in Alberta as their high selling Angus bull in 2016. How time flies, it is hard to imagine that we are already offering our sixth group of his sons. Coalition has established himself as one of the really good sires we have ever used. He has an uncanny ability to make cattle good. From the ground up, the phenotype he stamps his progeny with is nearly unparalleled amongst any sires we’ve used in recent times. His bulls look like bulls and his daughters look like females. He puts a big, wide, expressive hip and great structure into his progeny while consistently improving breed character as he really puts a nice, Aberdeen head on his sons and daughters. We attribute much of the potency he has as a sire to the incredibly good female he is out of. Erelite 109Z is one of the absolute best Angus cows we have ever seen, and Coalition puts her small teats, and quality udder unfailingly into his daughters. We lost Coalition this past summer after a breeding injury. His semen is limited and this will be one of the last offerings of his progeny we will have. Forever cemented into our herd will be the legacy of this great sire, living on through his many productive, and strong producing daughters. If you haven’t tried a Coalition from us yet, this might be the year to grab onto one. 7 sons sell May 6!

Retained from his calf crop, Wrangler is one of the really complete bulls visually we have ever raised. He exhibits tremendous muscle shape, power and structural correctness that was unparalleled amongst his peers. A Coalition son, he is double bred to the performance, muscle, and maternal sire, Chisum, who has his footprint all over our program. We sold possession and an interest in Wrangler to M Diamond Angus, WY and recently a breeding interest to Botts Angus, MT as well. 2024 is our third offering of Wrangler sons. He has put his stamp on his progeny. His sons are muscle bulls, exhibiting real, raw muscle shape. They are largely calving ease bulls, yet still present strong performance and as much visual muscle as any sire group we are offering. Wrangler daughters are beauties as they have come into production. Angular and Angus headed in their make-up, they show tremendous rib shape and muscle expression, much like their male counterparts. Their maternal temperament is top-notch and they have very good udders. Wrangler is a calving ease sire who adds muscle, pounds, and sure looks to enhance maternal and will be a part of our program for years to come. 20 sons sell May 6!

Armstrong topped out 2022 bull sale offering selling to STGenetics for $90,000. A bull that created quite a stir the spring he sold, he presents an appealing and balanced Epd profile, ranking in the breeds elite for several traits. We used him back heavily in our program that spring and are extremely excited to market this large group of his progeny. He has far exceeded our hopes and expectations with his first calf crop. Proven to work in heifer breeding projects, his calves are born small, have tremendous vigor and performed with the best of this calf crop. His sons are really attractive bulls, rich in breed character in terms of their head and neck, and expressive in the muscle shape they display down their top and through their quarter. The female side of his progeny has us even more excited than his sons. Armstrong’s heifers are really long bodied, growthy females, with a lot of performance and the multi-generational backing of really strong females for maternal temperament and udder quality. The dam behind Armstrong combines some of our absolute most proven female genetics. Her pedigree is a bit of a who’s who amongst know female making sires as she combines Foundation, Game Day and Right Time. Armstrong has a big place in our genetic decisions going forward and we are excited to offer this first large group of progeny. 30 sons sell May 6!

We purchased Heritage as the $36,000 second high selling bull of the 2022 Midland bull test. A bull that we really admired due to his body, mass, performance, and added size, what really sealed the deal on him for us was the strength of the females behind him. Stemming from two of Leachman’s most elite producing cows, his dam and grand dam record weaning ratios of 6/112 and 9/110 respectively. Heritage was incorporated heavily into our breeding program and has excelled greatly as a sire. A modest birth sire, he adds performance, length and size to every pedigree we mated him to. His sons will be some of the real stout, good numbered, high performance bulls we have on offer. Our Heritage daughters are beauties – deep bodied and stout, with extra length and performance, they just might be his most valuable genetic contribution. The quality this young bull has sired in his first calf crop has his place firmly cemented in our breeding program and we will offer his progeny in volume in future sales as well. 18 sons sell May 6!

This year’s sale offering marks the third group of Tahoe progeny we’ve marketed and we couldn’t be more pleased with how this great sire has worked on our females. A balanced bull numerically, Tahoe consistently adds pounds and performance to his progeny while keeping birth weight in check. His sons have been well received in our past sales and should prove no different in this year’s offering. They are high performing, good numbered bulls with lots of genetic potential. Tahoe has really shined in our herd through his numerous daughters we’ve calved. He does a marvelous job in keeping teats uniformly sized, and spaced, while also improving udder attachment. His females have a wonderful maternal temperament and several of his daughters will highlight the registered heifer division of this sale. 20 sons sell May 6!

A new sire-group for our sale offering this year is True North. He is a sire that we have watched for several years and really appreciate the practical, functional traits he excells for. A sure-fire calving ease bull, he has been likened by ABS as the “Ext of this generation,” due to the quality females he is producing around the country. We used this proven sire on a couple of our donor females as well as some of our very select, low birth cows, hoping to produce some very top-notch maternally driven progeny with added calving ease. We are very pleased with the phenotype True North has sired and are excited to offer his progeny on May 6th. 13 sons sell May 6!

New to our reference sire line-up this year is the proven Genex calving ease sire, Justified. He is a sire that we have admired from a far for many years and so appreciate the reliable, hardworking daughters he has become well known for. A bull with added marbling genetics and proven calving ease, we used him primarily on a couple of our elite donor females and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. His sons in this sale are some of the stoutest, heaviest muscled, highest performing bulls we are offering, with the added benefit of being mostly out of donor dams. 12 sons sell May 6!
U2 Erelite 109Z, best known as the dam of Coalition, has become an anchor in our donor pen and breeding program. Our 2024 sale offering willl feature 16 of her sons from three different ET flushes. The amount of power, muscle, and phenotypic excellence she passes on to her progeny, regardless of mating is uncanny. Pictured below are several of her “highlights” in our 2024 sale offering.
The largest framed, highest performing bull of this entire flush. A standout since forever, this bull is really good. He has a ton of width across his top, a lot of body, stands down on plenty of bone and had tremendous herd bull character. Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.

Lots 1,2,3 When we had the opportunity to purchase U2 Erelite 109Z in the historic U2 dispersion, we knew fully that she was a special female. Our experience with her son Coalition and his ability to breed so true phenotypically had us very firm in our belief in the power she possessed as a breeding tool. The last two sales we have sold a couple different groups of her ET progeny, and they have been front end cattle, very much adding to our sale offering and our replacement pen. As we unveil our 2024 bull sale offering the sheer impact this cow can have on a breeding program is unreal. We will offer three groups of her ET sons, sired by Justified, Armstrong and True North. Each one of these flushes worked. She simply added power, muscle, performance, eye-appeal, and strength to every mating.
Justified is a bull that we have admired for many years and never made the decision to use him. A highly proven sire of great females, with calving ease and added marbling, we thought he might cross very well with 109Z. The resulting calves from this mating are far more than we ever imagined. They are the heaviest muscled group of bulls in the entire sale, with performance upon performance. They all weaned heavy, grew fast to a year and are incredibly consistent in their phenotype. With the look this set of bulls holds, they are bulls that will add a real muscle look and power to their progeny. For the sake of our sale we had to put them in an order, it is easy to argue which one should be first and no doubt their will be differing opinions on what order they should sell in, but here they are.

The first son we are offering by Armstrong and what a herd bull prospect he is. A standout since early last summer, Lot 4 is one of the most complete bulls numerically, phenotypically, and maternally as any in this sale. This bull has a presence about him, and abundance of good. He is a striking individual, who travels with a sense of class and presence that separates him from his pen mates. So balanced in his build, he is a strong topped, level-hipped right structured bull that is fun to see in motion or standing still. Presenting himself with a real maternal, female building look, he is soft in his rib shape and design, yet still is masculine fronted, expressive down his top and displays extra shape in his lower quarter and stifle. This herd bull prospect weaned heavy, grew well to a year, ratioed solid on ultrasound day and offers a strong set of balanced and versatile Epds. His young dam is a moderate framed, strong producing Coalition daughter with a very nice udder and a kind attitude. She stems from a solid producing line of females as her dam and grand dam are both 5/99 birth ratio, 5/100 and 5/102 weaning ratio cows with extra body and doing ability. We are very excited about Armstrong and all the positives he offers and this herd bull prospect couldn’t be a better representative to lead-off this impressive sire group. Note this bulls +95 $M and +300 $C. Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.
Lot 5, 6, 7
The next three bulls are an impressive group of Armstrong full brothers out of donor dam, Erelite 109Z. These bulls, and their flush mates, Lots 43, 44, 45 and 96 are one of the most impressive and uniform groups of full brother bulls we have ever offered. Chuck full of muscle, these are real performance bulls who weaned well, gained at the top of the group over winter, and came in heavy at yearling weight time. Consistently very good footed, they are impressive in terms of their heel depth, toe shape and overall soundness. These full brothers offer extra length, overall growth potential, and all scanned with extra muscle. The power their donor dam possesses, and her ability to influence phenotype, muscle and performance is very evident in this group of full brothers. The sister mates to these bulls further enhance our excitement about the quality of this flush. They are high performing, good sized heifers, with extra hip and mass. This trio of bulls and their flush mates are some of the real impressive bulls in the entire offering.

Herd bull prospect. Incredible phenotype. Hard to ever find not looking good, this bull is built as good through his front third as any bull we are offering, with incredible Angus breed character and masculinity. A calf that we marked early as being very special, he has a really big top, rear end and tremendous muscle shape that carries deep into his lower quarter. He is a deep heeled, even toed bull with a world of potential in front of him. Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.

Near carbon copy of Lot 5 that is a little more rugged in his appearance. This stout, big boned, heavy muscled rascal gained 4.14 pounds per day after weaning and recorded a 1412 pound yearling weight. Much like Lot 5, this bull scanned with a big ribeye and will visually concur the muscle he scanned.

Our kids took in their first National Angus Convention last fall in Orlando, FL. It was a great time spent with great friends in the Angus breed!
The largest ribeye bull of this trio scanning with a 16.4 inch to ratio 104. A strong performance geared bull, he is nearly over 300 $C and has over a +1 ribeye Epd.
This bull is a definite herd bull prospect and maybe as good of a bull as there is in this entire offering. When it gets right down to analyzing him, I don’t know if there is another bull in the offering with his amount of stoutness, mass, depth, and overall muscle. He is a big-time herd bull prospect with a phenotype that we want to emulate repeatedly. Our hope is to use this 16 inch ribeye stud back in our program AI this spring. Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.

A really strong numbered bull with even more numeric calving ease than his full brother. This really long sided, clean made, attractive fronted bull also scanned with a ton of muscle, recording a 15.1 inch ribeye to ratio 104. Suitable for heifers.
Lot 8-9 We are excited about having the influence of True North in our herd due to his ability to really complement some of our firm breeding objectives. A sire that ABS has likened to the “EXT of this generation,” he has the maternal strength in his pedigree and the proof in pastures around the country that we feel he will continue to help our maternal advancement. The decision was made to flush 109Z to him hoping to capitalize on her power and mass, while expecting True North to keep birth in check, help add body depth, and compliment her maternal strength. We are so glad we did this mating and have the two bull calves that resulted that we will offer as Lots 8 and 9. These bulls are low birth sire prospects with solid performance, that both scanned with above average muscle. The full sisters to these fellas are absolute beauties. One of them is featured in this sale as Lot 202 and only furthers the excitement we have for this mating.

Wrangler has made quite the name for him as a true breeding bull with his ability to consistently sire cattle with tremendous phenotype, exhibiting a real production beef animal look, with class and loads of muscle. The herd bull prospect we are offering as Lot 10 couldn’t live up to this statement any better. This bull is one of the best phenotypic bulls we have ever offered. He so pleasantly balances a clean, proud front end, and then blends that into as big of a top and rear end as we have in our sale offering. This bull is one that will stop you when you get a glimpse of how much muscle he has, and the structural build he carries it on. His dam is a young Architect female stemming from a really solid line of good uddered, quality producing females. Lot 10 is a real calving ease herd bull prospect. Take not of his balanced Epds, +99 $M and 17 inch ribeye. He’s a good one. Suitable for heifers. Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.
This bull is a stud. He is one of the absolute most impressive bulls in our entire offering. His combination of calving ease, performance, and absolute muscle set him apart as one of the real good bulls we’ve kicked out. Visually, he is really fun to evaluate. A tremendously well balanced bull, he is strong topped, right in his leg structure and displays muscle shape down his top and into the lower third of his quarter that would make many bulls envious. Ratioing 115 off of his first calf dam, he gained just short of 4 lbs/day over winter and weighed nearly 1400 pounds at a year. His performance accolades continues as he ratioed 115 for marbling and scanned a large 16.5 inch ribeye to ratio 115. His Epd spread from birth to yearling is about as strong as any bull in this entire offering. His young dam is a Wrangler daughter, with an exquisite udder, being very well attached with refined, evenly spaced teats. Lot 11 is the first son of Heritage we will offer and is quite the representative of what this great young sire can produce. Suitable for heifers.

The second son of Heritage that we will offer and a standout bull that has been on our list of favorites since early last summer. A bull that combines so many numerical and performance indexes well, he is plain fun to look at. This calf is super good headed, neat fronted and full of Angus breed character. From there he transitions into a big topped, wide hipped bull with a great big rear end. He weaned heavy off of his high quality, mature Coalition dam and grew well to a year weighing in at 1330 pounds. He backs up the visual muscle he displays very confidently with his 15.2 inch ribeye measurement. His dam is a strong producing, small teated, easy going daughter of Coalition that we can always count on to bring in a good one. The Heritage pedigree is going to be a large part of what we are doing going forward and these first two sons, Lots 11 and 12 are great indicators as to why.

Lot 13, 14, 15 When we made the decision to flush Pine Coulee Everelda W77 to Architect, I remember thinking this could be really cool. A true power on power mating. I bet these calves will be studs. It’s fun when what we envision could happen comes together phenotypically. These three bulls are as stout, heavy muscled, high performing, and just plain cool in their structure as any bulls in the entire sale offering. To say this mating worked, doesn’t do it justice. Their donor dam is a genuinely good cow. 15-years-old this spring, she is as sound as ever, has great feet, is easy to get along with and shows no signs of slowing down. Her pedigree is a true compilation of “who’s who” in the maternal history of Angus cattle. Stemming from the legendary Sitz Everelda Entense 1137, she carries with her the lineage of the female making greats, Net Worth, EXT, Rainmaker 340 and Traveler 124. We had to put these guys in a sale order and it was a tough decision. They are real beef bulls and we can’t wait for the impact they will make through their progeny.
S Architect 9501 is the popular Genex calving ease and performance sire. 2024 marks our third offering of his progeny and this year we are featuring two ET flushes of his sons. They are out of donor dams Pine Coulee Everelda W77 and S Elba 1004. Both sets of Architect sons are high performing, heavy muscled, growth minded bulls that are sure to be some of the real favorites May 6th.
The stoutest, heaviest muscled, most ruggedly constructed of these three full brothers. This bull has been a favorite forever.
Incredible phenotype, 150 marbling ratio, and grew wild to a year weighing in over 1400 pounds.
There are days when I find myself thinking maybe this is the best of this trio. This bull is so deep flanked and soft made, and carries himself with such class and character.

One of the absolute most pleasing bulls numerically in our entire sale offering in the Armstrong son we are selling as Lot 16. This bull checks an incredible amount of boxes, from above average performance at both weaning and yearling to above average scans for both marbling and ribeye. His excitement then furthers when his Epd profile is assessed, from his +12 CED to +137 YW, and +116 $M with a +316 $C. His dam is a really good Coalition daughter. Moderate framed, quiet, small teated, she only knows how to raise big calves as evidenced by her 4/112 nursing ratio.Currently she is nursing as stout of a Kraye Big Country bull calf as we have on the ranch. She is the kind of female whose combination of production, phenotype, and temperament accelerate her to one of our herds very elite. This proud fronted, good headed, expressively muscled bull ties a lot of good things together.

Another one of the Justified x Erelite 109Z ET bulls and what a stud this bull is. Built like his flushmates, he is an incredibly heavy muscled bull. When he freely and powerfully drives towards you, the amount of chest width and forearm he holds will be evident, and when he strides away the sheer thickness and muscle mass he has exudes from every angle. A heavy weaning bull, we grew well to a year weighing in at nearly 1400 pounds, and he followed the theme of his flushmates and scanned with a great, big ribeye. The performance enhancing power his dam stamps into her progeny is second to none. We couldn’t sell all these full brothers first, and had to make some sale order decisions. This is a herd bull and can’t be overlooked. Selling 2/3 interest and full possession.

Phenotypic standout and big time calving ease herd bull prospect in Lot 18. This good looking, good structured, +15 CED bull is chuck full of muscle and performance. One of the heavier weaning bulls in this year’s offering, he is one that is hard to miss when going through the bull pen. He carries himself with the presence and poise, always being set up and looking good. Maternally, he is a son of our proven donor Heiress 193, who is a hard-working daughter of the female maker, Summit 956. Heiress is a cow that has really served us well in our donor rotation. A quiet, good footed female, she is still going strong this spring as a 13-year-old cow, and we are going to continue to draw on her maternal abilities and implant numerous of her embryos going forward. She does an impeccable job of passing on her calm maternal temperament to her numerous daughters we have calved. Big time performance prospect by Armstrong who weaned off over 800 pounds. This really long bodied, deep flanked, soft made bull boasts nearly a +100 weaning Epd and one of the highest yearling Epds in the entire offering. A calf that has stood out since early last summer, this nearly 15-inch ribeye bull traces back to a Bomber daughter by donor dam Elba 1004. His dam, 0203, is a good sized, really deep bodied, deep flanked female who is off to a great start, recording a progeny weaning ratio of 2/116. When we used Bomber, this flush that produced this bull’s dam was noted by many for the amount of mass, substance and shape that they had, it was one of the really good flushes we have had out of the great Elba donor. Lot 19 has a lot of good things going his direction. Backed by a strong maternal lineage, he can brag about his top 1% $M, his +324 $C, not to mention his breed leading performance and ribeye Epds, and the amount of raw performance we have measured.

This Armstrong son has literally done everything right every time we’ve measured his performance. He came off his dam well, ratioing 112 at weaning, gained nearly 4 lbs/day over winter, indexed 114 at yearling, scanned above average for ribeye and ratioed 154 for marbling. Visually he is a good sized bull, offering more frame than most of his contemporaries, but doing that in a very favorable package. Presenting enough rib and flank depth, he is a very expressively muscled, shapely designed bull that is very clean through his head and neck. His strong producing dam has now entered our donor line-up and is a member of our cherished Queen Essa tribe, making this good bull double-bred to matriarch donor, Queen Essa 208. A really small teated, tidy uddered female, 8313 also records a progeny IMF ratio of 3/159. It is no accident that this bull was a marbling outlier. Note this herd bull prospects +101 $M and +312 $C.

Big, stout, high growth Tahoe son that is good from every angle. This big butted, wide hipped, deep chested bull was the high-indexing natural calf at weaning with and 842 pound 205 wt to ratio 127. He continued to grow well to a year weighing in at nearly 1350 pounds, scanned with a 15.7 inch ribeye and ratioed 132 for marbling. On paper he backs up his performance adding abilities with strong weaning and yearling Epds. His dam is a good young female, offering extra size and body mass. She traces back to our Vermilion donor, Lass 0045, a female who added size, mass and power to all her progeny, while keeping udder quality in check. This good rascal will get pounds added into his progeny, increase performance, and improve maternal function and production. Good bull.

Lot 22-23 A pair of True North ET bulls out of donor Elba 1004, and first of five sons by her to sell in a row. When we flushed Elba to True North it was our hope to really compound the maternal strength of both pedigrees, while hopefully being able to offer some real top-notch calving ease genetics. The progeny that resulted selling as Lots 22 and 23 fully encapsule what we were hoping to get. These are a really good pair of calving ease bulls. Moderate framed, attractive fronted, they are refined enough in their build to confirm their calving ease, yet stout enough with enough muscle shape to make them very likeable bulls. Numerically, both lots are high CED, negative BW individuals who both started life out very small. The full sisters to these bulls are some of the nicest, deepest bodied, stoutest heifers we have. One of them, Lot 203, is featured in the heifer offering of this sale and is an absolute herd builder. Look for these bulls to really enhance maternal strength, calve easy and still sire plenty of pounds in their progeny.

Lots 24,25,26 – A trio of exciting ET bulls sired by Architect out of donor dam Elba 1004. Elba is a female that has really been a positive contributor to our donor program. She is incredibly dominant in passing on her ultra-quiet temperament to her progeny no matter the sire, her offspring are always pleasant to be around and some of the nicest females we calve out. Also, she adds rib shape and body mass consistently, marking her offspring with her same desirable phenotype. This mating of her by Architect has not disappointed. These are quiet calving ease bulls with the highest $M of any bulls in the sale. This trio combines hard to find values of low birth with strong performance and maternal at the top of the breed. They all weaned heavy and have developed into some of the really good looking bulls in the sale offering. They are clean-fronted, good looking bulls with extra length, and plenty of muscle shape. If you are in need of multiple calving ease bulls, these fellas are consistent in their data and phenotype to a level that indicates they will no doubt breed very similar and make excellenct replacement females. Full brothers sell as Lots 48 and 49.
The first of three calving ease Wrangler sons in a row and what a bull this stud is. Phenotypically he packs a tremendous amount of pounds, mass and muscle into his frame and does so in a very appealing package. He is a bull that stands square, is wide pinned and has lot of base width. Ratioing 112 at weaning as his dams first calf, he has assembled a very useful set of Epds, with a combination of CED, BW and performance that few bulls in this offering can rival. Excelling is something that lot 27 does well always, including his 111 marbling ratio and his large 15.5 inch ribeye to ratio 108. His young dam is a sweetheart of a Logo daughter, with a very tidy, small teated udder, who traces back to a productive Chisum 255 female. This bull’s total combination of phenotype, performance, Epds, and cow family strength pushes him into the ranks of calving ease herd bull. +97 $M. Suitable for heifers.

The second in a pair of Wrangler x Logo bulls and what a calving ease bull lot 28 is. Moderate in his stature, he weaned heavy indexing 113 as his dam’s first calf and performed well to a yearling weighing in at nearly 1300 pounds. A square made, smooth shouldered bull, Lot 28 presents a very appealing Epd Tabulation. From a +14 CED to a +132 YW, he merits high marks as one of the real power adding calving ease bulls in the offering. His dam is another darling Logo daughter. Moderate framed, feminine fronted, she has very refined teats and a tidy udder. Her genetic contribution to half of Lot 28’s pedigree only furthers his quality as a potential calving ease herd sire. Suitable for heifers.
Another Wrangler son with calving ease and a huge rear end. This stout bull is a nicely balanced calf, containing a ton of muscle in a very proportionate, good structured package. He weaned heavy, gained nearly 4 lbs/day over winter and broke the 1300 mark at a year. He excelled on ultrasound day garnering above average indexes for both marbling and ribeye. His dam is an excellent producing, near perfect uddered mature daughter of Elevate. A strong producing female, she also solidifies this good calf’s calving ease merit as she records a lifetime rogeny birth ratio of 6/95. Suitable for heifers.

What a good Heritage son we find in Lot 32. This stocky fella, is thick from front to rear, and only knows how to grow and perform at a high level. This stout, good sized bull weaned off his recip at over 800 pounds and ranks right up with his impressive flush mates in terms of a real power adding, herd changing individual. Lot 33 is quiet, thick quartered, wide hipped and offers a really balanced set of Epds, with Milk and Scrotal Epds near the top of the breed. Keep in mind that his dam is also Erelite 109Z, a female whose name in a pedigree alone elevates her progeny’s potential breeding ability.

Calving ease Wrangler son with the same beef bull look we’ve come to expect with this sire group. For a bull with a +12 CED, and a -1.6 BW Epd, Lot 34 still displays tremendous muscle shape down his top and through his quarter. His dam is another good ‘ole Summit daughter. Quiet in her nature, always in good body condition, she also adds to the verified calving ease of this good calf as she has averaged 81 pounds at birth lifetime on her calves. This is a calving ease bull with a lot of maternal producing potential and a Milk Epd in the to 4% of the breed. Suitable for heifers.

Tahoe son with aspirations of pushing performance limits. This heavy weaning, stout made calf, gained nearly 4 pounds/day over winter and ratioed 110 for yearling. On paper, he is in the top 2% of the breed for weaning and yearling Epd, and in the elite of this sale for extending the limits of pounds sired. His dam is a moderate framed Whitlock daughter, with extra rib and doing ability. She has proven herself repeatedly as a valuable producing middle-aged cow in our herd. Look for this bull to ramp up performance limits.”
True North son with a phenotypic presence that easily will grab your eye upon entering his pen. One of the few non-ET True North sons, this bull is really balanced structurally, has ton of muscle shape and has performed with the best of this sale offering. He ratioed 112 at weaning, scanned a 16.4 inch ribeye to ratio 115, and indexed 111 for marbling. His dam is a low birth ratio Thrive daughter that is about as easy going as a cow could be. She takes raising big calves seriously as she records a progeny weaning ratio of 5/105. Very good bull.

Standout Heritage son with one of the best numeric and phenotypic combinations of any bull in this sale. This clean fronted, Angus headed bull carries himself proudly and freely, impressing us with how easily he handle as much muscle as he has. Scanning with over a 16 inch ribeye, this heavy weaning high performing bull has an Epd profile that makes him one of the real appealing bulls in the entire offering. To go from a +11 CED to a +150 YW, and have the phenotype and raw data to back up this level of growth spread makes this bull special. When the focus shifts to his dam, he only gets more valuable. S Eileenmere 136 is one of the supreme females we have on the entire ranch. A cow that is so flawless in her structure, neck extension, rib shape and udder design, she looks like someone that could make her way into a donor pen someday. She then traces back to a really calm mannered Coalition female who records a progeny weaning ratio of 3/107. Lot 37 is worth a serious look sale day. Suitable for heifers. The first Triumph son to sell in this years offering and what a bull he is. A sire group that was really well received last spring, this good scamp has literally done everything right. An early favorite last summer, he quickly grew after starting life out at only 76 pounds, raced to a 116 weaning ratio, and continued to perform at every measuring point indexing 105 at a year, 100 for ribeye and 120 for marbling. His easy-going, moderate framed dam is another Cornerstone cow that is setting herself up as a real high production female. She traces to a stout, big bodied Coaltion daughter who records 4 calves weaned with a 106 ratio. This bull comes about his quality very honestly – it is stacked in generationally and he has lived up to his genetic potential. 3/4 brother to Lot 39. Suitable for heifers.
Lot 40 and 41 – Back in 2019 we sold a really good Coalition son who bore the tag Lot 40 and freeze brand, 8124. He ended up in the Miller Angus of Draper, SD herd and did a really good job there as a resident herd sire. In all our flushing, it dawned on us that we would really like some full sisters to that bull, so we flushed his dam, Heiress 193 to Coalition and here we are, offering the bull mates of that flush as Lots 40 and 41. It seemed only fitting that we work the sale order out so that in 2024 Lot 40 is a full brother to that great bull that sold back in 2019.
Enough history, this is a good pair of bulls. Lot 40 is a herd bull candidate and easy find in our bull pen. He is wide through his chest, expressive in his forearm, and explosive in his muscle pattern as it carries from front to rear. When walking through his feed lot pen he is one that will repeatedly catch your eye, displaying so much muscle and mass he is hard to stop evaluating. He backs up all of his muscle with nearly a 15 inch ribeye, gained 3.95 lbs/day post weaning and recorded a 1414 pound yearling weight. Factor in his maternal strength combination of Summit and his sire Coalition and this is a winner, destined to make a real impact. Lot 40

The second in a pair of Triumph sons and what a bull this calf is. A strong indexing bull, he is visually pleasing, very balanced in design. Thick topped, wide pinned, and extra stout, he still is clean through his head and neck with a very Aberdeen-Angus appearance. He backs up his visually evident muscle with one of the largest ribeyes in the offering, scanning a 16.5 inch to ratio 115. His dam is a powerhouse of a cow and certainly one of the favorite females we own. So impressive in her rib shape, body depth and mass, she maintains a well-attached udder, small teats, and always brings in a good calf. Currently she is nursing a studly Kraye Big Country bull calf. This big growth numbered, heavy muscled bull has the ability to really kick out good feeding steers and front pasture replacement females.
Lot 41 is a calving ease version of these two brothers, that still exudes the same body conformation and muscle pattern. He is big topped, square made bull that gets just a bit more refined in terms of his bone structure and front shoulder Phenotypically he looks like the +14 CED bull he is. Note his 15.4 inch ribeye. Suitable for heifers.

Tahoe son who is one of the excellent bulls in this entire offering. Lot 42 is so well constructed, gently balancing his abundance of muscle, mass, and stoutness. A heavy weaning calf, he ratioed 114 off of his mature dam, scanned above average for muscle, and recorded a 146-marbling ratio. His dam is another mature Summit 956 female, and another example of the reason Summit was so popular in commercial programs. She is the kind of cow that doesn’t know what a day off is. In her quiet demeanor, she goes to work every spring raising a heavy, powerful, valuable part of our bull sale or replacement pen. The fact that Lot 42 combines Summit and Tahoe has him marked by us as a genuine female maker. Good bull. +95 $M BW
Lots 43, 44, 45 - Three more members of the Armstrong x Erelite 109Z flush and full brothers to Lots 5, 6, and 7. This entire flush is one of the good groups of ET bulls that we have had. So consistent in their foot quality, muscle, and performance, they possess some of the real building blocks for rapid cow herd advancement. These are bulls that we so appreciate for their raw muscle shape, width of top, stifle expression and overall power. Numerically all three of these bulls are alluring, power adding prospects. On ultrasound day these three bulls were ready to make a splash as they scanned from 15 to 16.2 inches of ribeye, validating the real muscle they possess. The power in their donor dam only furthers the genetic merit they contain. 109Z is certainly doing all we hoped of and more when we purchased her. A female that has so much inherent power and performance that every calf that descends from her grows and performs. A lot of bulls have sold between the first three members of the flush and these good rascals and they will be well worth the wait, and well worth looking up sale day.He backs up all of his muscle with nearly a 15 inch ribeye, gained 3.95 lbs/day post weaning and recorded a 1414 pound yearling weight. Factor in his maternal strength combination of Summit and his sire Coalition and this is a winner, destined to make a real impact.

Lot 46, 47 – A pair of full brother True North bulls out of donor dam, Heiress 193. When we flushed Heiress to True North our hope was to create some real functional, high maternal replacement females and sons with a pedigree combination for maternal strength that would make them very valuable and useful bulls. This pair of very high CED, negative birth Epd bulls couldn’t of pleased us more. They are good looking bulls, built through their shoulders and neck like they will totally live out their calving ease potential, yet they ultrasounded with all kinds of muscle. Lot 46 has a 15.5 inch ribeye and Lot 47 scanned a 16.2 inch ribeye. Rare to find in bulls with this much bred in calving ease potential, these dudes still offer real muscle, and the ability to put real pounds into their low birth weight progeny. Their donor dam makes good ones over and over. She has maybe not had some of the glamor in terms of high selling lots as some of our other donor females, but she is a quiet, great footed, marvelous contributor to the foundation of our cowherd. These bulls, and their herd bull full brother, Lot 18, will make an impact.
herd through his numerous, great uddered, long lasting, quiet daughters. Both Heiress and Elba are 13-year-old females by this great sire, who fully live out the maternal superiority this bull is known for.
Lot 48, 49 - Full brother bulls by Architect out of donor dam Elba 1004 and siblings to the bulls that sell as Lot 24, 25, and 26. These two bulls are a little further down in the order than their flush mates, but they absolutely don’t drop off in terms of quality. Both of these fellas are heavy weaning, big middled, useful bulls that are really easy to like. They possess the performance of their sire with the maternal advantage of being out of Elba 1004. She is a female that absolutely ramps up maternal function in her progeny and these Architect sons should add pounds while also continuing to enhance the maternal usefulness of their progeny. Note the +130 $M of Lot 48 and the +113 $M of Lot 49. Good flush of five full brothers.

The one and only King Air son we will offer and what a cool looking bull he is. This good scamp came to us in dam lafter we purchased several females from Vermilion Ranch. The cows worked excellent for us and this bull’s dam followed suit. A heavy weaning calf, Lot 50 is super sound, good structured, fun to see on the move, and cool to see stopped and set up. He has an abundance of muscle shape and expression, a 114 weaning ratio and a 147 marbling ratio, all while being a bona fide calving ease prospect. His dam is a bit of a pedigree outcross and daughter of the Hamilton Farms, AB, high seller Alcatraz. She is going to be a positive addition to our program.

The way our Armstrong progeny have grown and performed really make this sire group fun, and have us very excited about his future in our cowherd. Lot 51 is a really good bull. He is big butted, wide across his hips, expressive in his stifle, and proud in his travel. A solid weaning bull, he gained 3.99 lbs/day after he left his dam to earn a 1324 pound yearling weight and 110 ratio, all while offering a +15 CED and -.1 BW Epd. His young dam is an easy going, big bodied Coalition daughter who stems from calving ease females as his dam and grand dam have progeny birth ratios of 2/97 and 5/98. This bull started life a little heavy after a long, cold, snowy ND winter, but I would be very certain with his cow family history and Epd predictors he will work as a light birth sire. Really a high-quality Tahoe son that checks about every box in Lot 54. This long bodied, smooth made bull has ratioed above average at every performance checkpoint. A Really balanced numbered bull, he offers double-digit CED with performance Epds that still mark him as a bull that will do more than just sire light birth calves. His dam is a real treat. A young daughter of Wrangler, she has a superb udder and great disposition and she traces back to a very steady producing, great uddered Summit female who records a progeny” BR of 8/96. We really appreciate what Tahoe does as a sire and this good rascal fits right into all we appreciate about Tahoe. Suitable for heifers.
Really a complete bull numerically sired by Armstrong. This heavy weaning, +17 CED bull, carries with him a negative BW Epd, while scanning with nearly a 15 inch ribeye. He is a really long individual with extra length of hip and very clean and shapely in his design. His dam is an absolute beauty. A direct daughter of donor Blossom 0278 sired by Coalition, she has matured into everything we dreamed of with this mating. Her udder quality is second to none, and her production record speaks for itself. This +90 $M and top 2% scrotal Epd Armstrong son is loaded up with maternal producing abilities. Really a maternally geared Tahoe son we find in Lot 56. This above average weaning, nearly 1300 pound yearling weight bull checks a lot of boxes. His weight performance was superb, he indexed above average for both marbling and ribeye, and is easy to evaluate visually. An extra long bodied bull, he has ample muscle shape and depth of flank. His dam is another Coalition daughter, who then traces to the breed legend Right Time, and then back to an outcross Fiery of Wye female. She is a cow that is generationally stacked for small teats and high maternal production, and she is still going strong and calved early again this spring as a 7-year-old female. Lots 59-61 - Lots 59, 60 and 61 are an exciting combination of Coalition and donor dam Elba 1004. These bulls offer as much phenotype, style, and eye-appeal as any three bulls in the entire offering. They are stout boned, big quartered bulls that are chuck full of muscle. This will be the first time we have offered bulls from this mating, although we sold a full sister in 2019 who ended up creating quite a stir and was the high selling female of that sale. This past spring we calved out two more full sisters. They are about as good as it gets. Ultra quiet, great mothers, with tidy small teated udders. Both of these females are the kind the industry could use a whole lot more of. All of this being said, these three full brothers are bound to be difference makers. They have the consistency in their phenotype to confirm the potency of this mating and are backed by two of the highest maternal animals we have ever used in Coalition and Elba 1004. We won’t offer many more Coalition sons in the future and these three we would be an incredible opportunity to add his genetics to your operation.

The second in a pair of Heritage sons and what a good bull this calf is. A big weaning scamp, he is really sound on the move, right in his structural design and highly versatile with the Epd profile he presents. His dam is a sweetheart of a female by Foundation. She has a great maternal temperament, small teats, a strong production record, and never loses weight when she’s nursing a calf. Furthermore, she is a lifetime calving ease cow recording a progeny birth ratio of 4/93 with a lifetime calf birthweight average of 77 pounds. This bull has a bright future, 107 $M and a dam that anyone would like to own a bull out of.

Real good Tahoe son we find in Lot 64. This bull is a strong performing individual who ratioed 108 at weaning, while scanning above average for both marbling and ribeye. On paper he offers performance advancing growth Epds, while being backed by one of the really good old cows on the entire ranch. Summit made quite the name for himself as a female making sire, and cows like the dam of Lot 64 are exactly why. She is quiet, good mannered, high producing, good uddered and still around and working at 12 years of age. This combined with the udder function and quality we’ve experianced with Tahoe would make this performance geared bull a great one to keep daughters from.

This spring’s sale marks the third year we have offered Tahoe progeny and Lot 65 is a prime example of why we have been so high on this sire. This bull literally has done everything right. Every time his performance was measured, he ratioed above average, offers solid and balanced Epds with modest birth and high CED. Visually he’s also easy to take in – a good looking bull, he’s smooth shouldered and shapely in his design. His dam would be one of the real good Whitlock daughters we have and really good females on the ranch. She traces back to donor dam Gloria 0406, a female whose legacy was cut short in our donor pen to injury but lives on through the few daughters and descendants of her we do have. Top-notch bull that will work well in numerous different settings.

Calving ease Triumph son whose phenotype makes him really easy to like. A well-balanced individual, he is neat through his front end, very right in his head shape, and expressive down his topline and level over his hip. A strong weaning calf, he boasts Epds for weaning and yearling weight that separates him as a real performance adding prospect. His dam is another one of the Foundation x Blossom daughters that we have and have come to really appreciate the job these full sisters do. They are quiet, easy keeping females with good udders and strong production records. This combined with the udder quality and maternal temperament we experienced calving our first Triumph females this past spring has this bull marked as not only a growth enhancer but a female maker supreme. His dam is a good-sized Whitlock daughter who has a well-attached udder and always brings in a good one. We are very pleased with the job Armstrong has done in his first calf, and think that his best attribute may be through the producing abilities of his daughters. Top 4% $M on this good calf. Moderate framed, calving ease Tahoe son with a great temperament and wonderful design. This bull is really made right in his structure, is level over his hip and travels with ease. After starting life at 74 pounds he raced to a 105 weaning index, while still offering a +16 CED and -2.5 BW Epd. His dam is an ultra gentle Thrive daughter with extra rib and body mass. Note this bulls 129 marbling ratio, 14 inch ribeye and top 5% $M. Good heifer bull. Suitable for heifers.
This year marks our second offering of Triumph sons and we are still very pleased with how this sire has worked on our cowherd. Siring progeny with ample performance, we have calved a large group of his daughters this past spring and they are really nice females. Consistently small teated with well-attached udders, they have a great maternal temperment and look to be valuable contributors to our herd going forward.

Lot 70-71 – The second pair of True North ET bulls out of donor dam Elba 1004. When we were flushing Elba to make this mating it was our hope to create really maternally bred, high-quality calving ease bulls that would benefit the maternal advancement of America’s cowherd and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. These bulls, much like their flush mates, Lots 22 and 23, offer high calving ease direct, negative birth weight Epd and strong marbling genetics. Their build and body type indicates they will live up to their genetic calving ease redictions and make it several years in the heifer pasture as they appear to be slowing down their mature size. The maternal status of their donor dam furthers the worth of this pair of bulls. She has passed on her quiet temperament, good hair, and both bulls read in the top 1% of the breed for $M.

Lot 78 is one of the absolute really good bulls in this entire offering and a herd bull prospect. Phenotypically this later March born bull is hard to punch a hole in. So balanced in his kind, he travels around the pen with ease, standing down on an excellent set of feet with extra heel, while always presenting himself looking good. He displays an abundance of muscle shape and does so in a very balanced and appealing way. A strong performer as his dam’s first calf he indexed 113 at weaning after starting life at 79 pounds. His excitement only continues to build with his dam mentioned. A Tahoe daughter from our potent Elba donor, she is a moderate framed, great uddered young cow that further elevates 78’s herd bull status. Our fervor for this good calf builds further when moving into his numerical components, with growth Epds as high as any in this offering he also offers nearly 100$M and a 312$C. He ratioed above average at weaning and yearling, while backing up his visually muscle with a 15.6 inch ribeye that earned him a 109 ratio. His dam is a unique female in our herd and half sister to the dam of Lot 87, as they were both bred in the good Bar H herd in SK. 135F is a steady producing female, with a great temperament and strong udder quality. Phenotypic gem by Armstrong and a standout his whole life. This April bull is put together about as nicely structurally as we could make one. Starting from the ground up, he stands on tremendous depth of heel, places his legs down correctly and accurately, and bulges with muscle. When viewing him from behind he is so expressive in his rear quarter and this carries over his hip and down his topline. Scanning nearly a 16 inch ribeye, this strong performance ratio bull backs up his perceived visual muscle. His dam is a good sized Coalition daughter who stems from a cow family of larger framed females. She is also a really good cow, off to a great start she records a progeny weaning ratio of 3/111. This early April Unanimous son is as good of a performance bull as there is in the entire offering. His age didn’t affect his ability to compete at the bunk one bit as he weaned heavy and grew fast to a year, recording a 1328-pound yearling weight to ratio 110. With added frame, he ranks in the top 10% of the breed for weaning and yearling Epds and has the look of a sire that will make calves that can’t help but grow. His dam is a steady producing Coalition daughter from his first calf crop and still going strong here at seven years of age. Look up 89 sale day, he’s a performance geared bull that will add pounds with the best of them.

Lots 90-91 - The last of the Justified bulls out of donor dam 109Z. These two calves resulted from a later implant date and are right at a month younger than their sale headlining full brothers. Even with their age disadvantage to their ET siblings, it is really fun to see the genetic and phenotypic consistency in these calves. Lots 90 and 91 are really good bulls. Thick from every angle, they are stout, heavy muscled, performance adding bulls that are going to put pounds into their progeny without raising frame goals. Both of these bulls scanned with lots of ribeye and Lot 90 actually had the biggest ribeye of the entire flush with a 16.6 inch measurement, while having an adjusted yearling weigh of 1291 pounds. That’s a lot of muscle in a bull that doesn’t quite weigh 1300. We again see the dominance of 109Z through these bulls. She doesn’t know how to have calves that don’t rise to the top. Take time to find these bulls on sale day, although younger than their flush mates they are really quality bulls with worlds of genetic advancement in them.

This end of March bull is an absolute tank. One of our favorites all his life, Lot 92 is thick and muscular everywhere you’d want thickness and muscle. When he faces you, his wide chest and bulging forearm are readily displayed, and when he travels away his expressive stifle and big rear end are very evident. A bull that weaned above average, he gained nearly 4 lbs/day post weaning to secure a 1331 pound yearling weight and a 110 ratio. Maternally his dam is a member of the Bomber x Elba 1004 flush that was so popular in our 2021 sale. A solid producing young female, she is off to a great start with a progeny weaning ratio of 2/107. Numerically this bull is right on the brink as a heifer bull, we’ll let you decide what pasture you put him in, but wherever he lands the calves are going to be stout.

Another Wrangler son with strong calving ease credentials. We so appreciate Wrangler’s ability to sire calves that come small, yet put pounds on quickly and do so in a really muscled up, eye-appealing package. This above average performance indexing bull’s dam is another one of our easy-going, nice uddered Foundation daughters and she traces back to program anchors Summit, Chisum 6175 and ultimately donor dam Queen Essa 208, who is the third female behind Armstrong. Very maternally geared calving ease prospect with above” average performance in Lot 93. Suitable for heifers.

He is long bodied, big topped and extended from end to end. His dam is another Foundation daughter and an absolute beauty. She is always in good condition, has a tidy, well attached udder and still displays refined evenly spaced teats as she entered her 6th lactation this spring. Females like her are the kind that anyone can use lots of, her type will last and last. A low birth ratio female, she has averaged 77 pounds of actual birth weight on her progeny. The last of the Armstrong sons out of 109Z in this year’s sale offering and this dude doesn’t take a back seat to any of his brothers. Very similar in their phenotype, Lot 122 separates himself as a calving ease herd bull prospect. He is a bull that is very proud in how he carries himself, always being up headed and looking good. Standing down on an excellent set of feet he is square hipped, big quartered and expressive down into his stifle. On phenotype alone he is validated as a calving ease herd bull, with the genetic component of Queen Essa 7149 elevating his status further. It will be a little bit of a walk to his pen sale day, but it will be well worth it. If you are needing a moderate framed, quality calving ease bull out of a great female find this bull. Suitable for heifers.
Lot 122 -123 Flush brothers. Lots 122 and 123 are full brother Coleman Triumph sons out of Queen Essa 7149, who is best known as the dam of Armstrong. These are the only two sons in the offering this year by this great female and what a nice pair of calving ease geared bulls they are. Numerically they very similar offering calving ease, and solid growth Epds, and they both are in the top 1% of the breed $M. Both bulls also back up their visual muscle with their 14+ inch ribeye scans.

Lot 126 is a bull that we really appreciate for how he is put together. An April calf, he doesn’t quite have the maturity yet of some of his pen mates, but he still displays a tremendous amount of body depth, mass and muscle. His dam is a really powerful young female. An ET daughter of donor dam Vermilion Lass 0045, she is going to be a big cow, yet is made with enough rib and flank to be a cow that can still survive on our low-input, forage rations. This 14.4 inch ribeye bull is destined to shine as a mature bull, siring extra pounds and not sacrificing maternal quality.

The youngest bull in the sale and what a good rascal he is. This late April bull is a really thick quartered, big hipped bull with extra rib and flank. He weaned well, and performed steadily over winter. His dam is one of our favorite Whitlock daughters and one of the most visually pleasing cows on the ranch. A good sized female, she offers extra rib and body mass, while always adding growth and performance to her calves. The Unanimous 9177 sons are a real nice sire group and this good, young bull is no different.

Another Wrangler son that is really cool in how he’s built. One of the youngest bulls in this offering and what a quality bull he is. Lot 147 is really long bodied, deep sided, and smooth in his shoulder. He has competed well with his older pen mates and is out of one of the really, really good cows we have. His dam is a 12-year-old Summit daughter whose production record speaks for itself. She has maintained a nearly perfect udder, has an amazing temperament, and is still going strong. This bull will sire daughters that must be kept. They will be herd builders.

Rounding out this year’s sale offering is another really nice Tahoe grandson with sure-fire calving ease genetics. This moderate framed, mid-April born calf stems from a historically low birth dam who posts an 8/94 progeny birth ratio and has averaged 76 pounds at birth lifetime on her calves. Beyond all of his calving ease, this smooth made, small headed bull’s pedigree combines many sires of maternal excellence with Tahoe, Coalition, Summit and Eclipse. This good young bull will get ‘em started out small and put a lot of usefulness into his progeny. Suitable for heifers.

When we select the females for our registered heifer division, it is our hope and goal to select heifers that are truly “elite.” We want to offer the best of our best, making available our most current and elite female genetics. In committing to doing this we end up with females that truly are a challenge to let go, as numerous ET heifers and descendants of our best cow families get offered for sale. This heifer embodies everything that we could imagine when it comes to the terms “elite female.” An incredibly powerfully built heifer, she is a direct daughter of our donor Erelite 109Z and a member of the stoutest, heaviest muscled flush of bulls we have ever had. Lot 201 is a unique individual in terms of how she balances next level muscle and power, with a class and flare that typically isn’t associated with a heifer this stout in her build. A wide chested, bold designed female, she displays as much shape down her top, over hip and into her lower quarter as any heifer in our entire calf crop. She confirms her real muscle shape with her 14.3 inch ribeye measurement. For a female that is this stout, she still carries herself around the pen with ease, always being up headed and looking good. The potency of her genetic make-up is confirmed readily by the quality of her flush siblings. Her brothers, Lots 1, 2, 3, 17, 33, 90, and 91 are as stout and heavy muscled as any bulls we are offering. This heifer has an incredibly bright future and will go on to to make a powerful donor female. Retaining the right to 6 IVF/conventional embryos at our expense and the buyers convenience.

The other daughter of Erelite 109Z we are offering in 2024 and what a heifer she is. Lot 202 is one of the sweetest put together females we have. A heifer that is so sharp fronted and attractive, she clearly exhibits the extension and style we so appreciate about her dam. Beyond her style and attractiveness, she blends as much rib shape, mass, and power as any heifer in the offering. Super sound and appealing on the move, she is a big middled heifer, that is hard to not like. We are continually impressed with the phenotype 109Z stamps into her progeny. This heifer is a prime example of this great cow’s ability to add quality. This heifer looks like a heifer yet is full of muscle and power. The bull mates to this female, Lots 8 and 9, are two of the stoutest, heaviest constructed bulls in the offering, full of masculinity and power. This great True North daughter is another opportunity to tie into all the good her donor dam has to offer. Great female. Retaining the right to 6 IVF/conventional embryos at our expense and the buyers convenience.

Over the years we have sold several daughters and descendants of our Elba donor. I do not know if we have ever sold one quite this good. This heifer is so complete. A really balanced female, she contains so much power and mass. When she strides towards you the amount of chest width and outer rib shape she contains is contagiously exciting. She poses with as much balance and eye-appeal as any female in the offering. A good structured heifer, she is level-hipped, sound traveling and balances worlds of muscle in a way that still validates her femininity. This heifer has performed well, backs up her extra muscle with a 13.6 inch ribeye, and excelled for marbling, ratioing 160. The power her donor dam contains and adds to her progeny has been validated repeatedly through the numerous flushes by her we have done. Her maternal strength, combined with the reputation for elite females that True North has, sets this heifer apart as one of the real unique building blocks in our sale offering. This heifer has the phenotype, genetics, and maternal legacy to command serious attention sale day. She’s a special one. Note her marbling Epd and +99 $M.

One of stoutest, most powerfully built heifers in the entire offering in this daughter of True North. A heifer that is a true “attention grabber” her phenotypic power and maternal presence, makes her easy to gravitate towards in our heifer pen. A strong performing female, she posted positive ratios at weaning and yearling, and backs up her visual muscle with the 13.5 inch ribeye she scanned to ratio 129. Backed by one of the strongest producing females in our herd, this heifer did not obtain her phenotypic and genetic excellence by accident. Her dam has consistently kicked out good ones. From her 2019 lead-off and high selling bull, S Coalition 8169, to 2022 sale highlight, S Eblinette 1115, she is a cow that reads strong across all measures as she boasts the following progeny record: BR 7/95, WR 7/106, YR 7/107, IMF 7/113 and REA 7/105. A daughter of Game Day donor, Eblinette 0157, she is a cow that is stacked for udder integrity and added maternal function. An early favorite in our heifer pen, Lot 204 will command attention sale day. She balances so much mass, muscle and power, while containing the added genetic merit of descending from one of our most proven cow families. This heifer will be one to keep an eye on, and exciting to see what her future holds.

Absolutely a performance powerhouse in the heifer we find selling as lot 205. This female, flush sister to stand out bulls, Lots 13, 14, and 15, is as heavy, massive, and stout as any in the offering. Wide through her chest, she carries her body depth deeply and evenly into her rear flank. A strong performing, heavy female she possesses as much muscle as any heifer in the offering. Sired by the popular Genex sire, Architect, this broody female claims powerhouse donor dam, Pine Coulee Everelda W77 as her donor mother. W77 is a special cow, who combines exceptional muscle and power, and does it with a finesse that still allows her to be incredibly attractive and feminine. A female whose pedigree is full of legendary Angus prominence she blends the influence of Net Worth, EXT, Rainmaker 340 and Traveler 124. The amount of sheer power and performance this heifer contains, combined with her maternal heritage isn’t found every day. Look this heifer up – you’ll be glad you did.

Show stopping phenotype in this first daughter of Leachman Heritage we are offering. This heifer is flat good. So feminine and smooth as she blends forward through her shoulder, she opens up deep through her chest and flank, and carries with her a tremendous amount of base width and overall muscle. A heifer that is invigorating to see on the move or standing still, she scored well every time her performance was measured. Indexing 116 at weaning as her dam’s first calf, she ratioed 113 for yearling, 127 for ribeye and 144 for marbling, she combines about as much numerical merit as any female offered. Her dam is a small teated young cow who traces back to donor dam, Camilla 4170. Camilla is a strong producing mature female, with really good feet and an udder that hasn’t wavered as she’s matured. Posting a progeny weaning ratio of 5/105, Camilla 4170 has been a really strong producer in our herd. This heifer is full of the right pieces. We are really high on the job Armstrong has done with his first calf crop. He has added length, performance and muscle consistently, while keeping birth weight in check. We love his sons, but really are excited about his females. Stacked generationally for udder quality and likeable maternal temperament and production, they have the look of heifers that will really have influence. The heifer division of our 2024 offering will only feature two of his daughters and they are females that we are super proud to have representing him. Blending two of our very best cow families, they are stacked with quality and have us very excited to show them off. The first one of these females is the Gloria heifer that is being offered as Lot 207. A real gem of a female, she is put together so balanced, being strong topped, level hipped, deep bodied and full of muscle. A high performer herself, she ratioed 116 at weaning and 113 at yearling time. Her dam is an especially powerful Resource daughter of donor dam, Gloria 1146. A cow that has extra chest width, flank and mass she also adds muscle consistently to her calves as she records a progeny ribeye ratio of 3/109. This first Armstrong daughter combines about as much good as we could stuff into a female. Strong performance, great Epds, high $M, the backing of a storied cow family, she’s got a lot pushing her towards being considered a future donor and elite producing female.

The other daughter of Armstrong we have chosen to offer in 2024 and what a heifer this female is. Carrying with her the power of the Elba cow family, this long-hipped, big bodied female is really right structurally and fun to put into motion. On paper she is another heifer that only knows how to excel. Indexing 115 at weaning, and 111 at yearling, she then went on to have an incredibly positive day under the ultrasound probe garnering carcass ratios of 115 for marbling and 111 for ribeye. Her dam is a steady producing, 7/95 birth ratio and 6/116 marbling ratio Courage daughter who is a natural calf from donor dam Elba 1004. Recording high, high marks every time her performance was measured, she indexed both 113 at weaning and yearling, 110 for ribeye and 119 for marbling. A heifer with added mature size potential, she is really deep in her forerib and carries this depth well into her center body. Her dam is one of the good producing Coalition females we have. A cow with extra length, extension, and rib she records a progeny weaning ratio of 4/107, and has maintained her Coalition characteristic, tidy udder with small teats. In our effort to truly add heifers to our sale offering that fall into the “elite” category lands a maternal sister to Armstrong into our sale pen. This heifer is the first sister to this great young sire we have ever offered. Strong numerically, this heavy muscled female is moderate in her build, right in her structure and easy to like. Thick topped, big quartered, and full of muscle she still presents the class and femininity prominent in her dam. Queen Essa 7149 is a beautiful uddered, moderate framed female who stems from generations of quality uddered, quiet females, with strong production records. Her pedigree is a combination of bulls known for making really top-notch females as she carries the genetics of Foundation, Game Day and Right Time. Lot 210 is not the biggest female, or the heaviest female in our sale offering, but she may well be as good of a producing heifer as we are offering. Her pedigree is stacked with great maternal. Note her +96 $M.
A royal combination of proven maternal strength in the standout ET heifer we are offering as Lot 211. This deep bodied, soft made, wide chested heifer is one of the most exciting females in this year’s heifer division. Blending the maternal strength of Justified and her donor dam, Heiress 193, she has a bright future in front of her. Indexing 137 for marbling, she visually presents an abundance of muscle shape down her top, over her hip and into her lower quarter. Her donor dam consistently kicks out solid progeny, and her influence is probably greatest felt through her good uddered, quiet tempered daughters we have calved. This front-end female is sure to be the front pasture kind.

One of the really strong matings we have found on our Coalition daughters is breeding them to Tahoe. This is a cross that just seems to work. The phenotype, coupled with the performance it results has been consistently pleasing. Who we are offering as Lot 212 in this sale, is this mating and confirms how well it works. A really pleasing female, she doesn’t overpower in anyone single trait, yet is so balanced and nice in her kind she becomes hard to not like. Angular and feminine, she blends great outward rib shape and extra muscle expression. Her added muscle is validated by the nearly 13-inch ribeye she scanned to earn a 123 ratio. Her dam is a calm, steady producing Coalition daughter who is moderate framed and traces back to a Confidence x Hunts Calculator female. This heifer is a strong building block if you are questing rapid maternal advancement. Note she is also one of the highest Epd females in the sale for marbling and ribeye.

A female that we so appreciate for the amount of body depth and mass she contains, she blends and balances a tremendous amount of top shape, hip shape and overall muscle, while still being very attractive through her head and neck. An all-star on ultrasound day this great cow prospect ratioed 183 for marbling and 109 for ribeye. Another descendant of the Elba tribe, she comes about her mass and power very truly as her dam is about as stout and deep bodied of a “316” as we have. After this cow, she traces to the Courage female who is the dam of Lot 208 in this offering. Take a real hard look at this female. Performing well off her dam, she boasts some of the highest growth Epds in the entire female offering. Her strong producing dam is one of several really productive cows we have from the Resource X Elba 1004 mating. A 2/105 weaning ratio female, she also boasts added carcass merit as she records a 3/110 progeny marbling ratio and a 3/102 progeny ribeye ratio. A standout all summer, she indexed 112 at weaning, weighed over 1000 at yearling to ratio 112, and scanned with an above average ribeye to ratio 108. She comes about her size very predictably as her dam is a real good-sized Whitlock daughter who traces back to one of the largest Chinook females we had on the ranch. If you are wanting to elevate mature size in a really well built, good numbered package - this stout Triumph daughter will fit that mold.

Tahoe heifer with big-time performance and a most curious attitude. You can’t hardly enter our heifer pen without Lot 218 coming over to inspect why you’re in there. This really quiet female comes about her temperament honestly as her really powerful Unanimous dam is one of the gentlest females on the ranch. Tracing back to donor dam Gloria 0406, she is a strong producing female who also records progeny ratios of 4/105 for yearling, 4/106 for marbling and 4/109 for ribeye. Be sure to check out this heifer sale day – she is a high growth numbered, solid carcass numbered female who stems from a great cow family.

Really a neatly designed, steady performing daughter of Triumph. This heifer is super long necked, angular and feminine from her shoulders forward, and carries herself on a really balanced skeletal design, with a level-hip and adequate body. Indexing well above average for ribeye, she is a low birth female with enough phenotypic and genetic merit to really make her a flexible breeding piece. Her dam is a generationally strong uddered female, with a solid production record and a pedigree that combines Foundation and Chisum 6175. Real good heifer.

One of the neatest constructed, heaviest built, stoutest made heifers in the entire offering. This heifer is moderate framed with exceptional body depth, really level over her hip and expansive in the shape and design to her rib. Her dam is a strong producing Courage daughter who also adds carcass merit to her progeny as she records a 5/116 progeny marbling ratio and a 5/103 progeny ribeye ratio. A good uddered female she then traces to quality females with strong older genetics as she blends, Calculator, Traveler T510 and Connealy Frontline. We have calved a large group of Triumph daughters this spring and are impressed with their udder quality and maternal temperament. The combination Lot 220 has of him and her proven maternal lineage gets her marked as one of the real solid, get her home and get her to work females in our entire heifer division.

Really a neatly built, soft made, stout heifer whose pedigree combines two of the real dominant cow lines in the Angus breed. A daughter of Triumph, she draws on the maternal strength of the great Lawsons Chloe C815 on her top side, and then traces back to powerhouse donor dam, Pine Coulee Everelda W77 on the bottom side of her pedigree, as well as the great Donna 714. W77’s influence is strongly felt throughout this sale offering and her ability to add stoutness, muscle, and mass to her progeny is repeatedly seen. Really a complete heifer visually, this moderate framed female draws on tremendous maternal strength and is sure to be a solid building block in whatever new herd she ends up in.

The last of the Heritage daughters in this year’s sale offering and another female whose conformation is a prime example of why we are so excited about the female siring abilities of this young sire. A deep bodied, deep flanked wide chest female, this heifer is a chunk! She performed well across all measures, including scanning with an 11.5 inch ribeye to ratio 110. Her sire has very dominantly stamped Lot 222’s body shape and type into his females, giving them the look of cattle that will be low input and able to thrive and adapt to any environment. The dam of this +100 $M female is a kind, steady producing Cornerstone daughter who traces back to donor dam, Gloria 0406.

High performing Triumph daughter with added length, size and frame. Extended in her skeleton, this 107 weaning ratio heifer packs a lot of mass and performance nicely into her design. Stemming from a very productive cow family her young Cornerstone dam records a 2/109 WR, Playbook grand dam records a 3/110 WR, and Open Country 3rd dam records a 4/114 weaning ratio. This heifer is loaded up with high producing females and has the genetic potential to raise the big ones year after year.

The lone Wrangler daughter in our 2024 heifer division and a female that really balance muscle, mass and eye-appeal well. Weaning off her young dam above average, she scanned with extra marbling as well. Her short-eared mother is a real gentle Foundation daughter, with a tidy, well-attached udder. Our Wrangler daughters have followed very closely in the footsteps of his sire Coalition, in terms of their ability to be tidy uddered, strong producing females with a great maternal temperament and the pedigree combination this heifer possesses makes her a no-holes, high maternal producing potential female.

Neat, trim made, angular daughter of True North who scanned with a larger than average ribeye. This maternally geared female, performed steadily and traces back to another productive, useful Coalition daughter, who then traces back to a really powerfully, good sized Anchor daughter who records a progeny weaning ratio of 6/106 and a progeny ribeye ratio of 5/109. Mayflower 5145 is currently serving as a donor female in the good Oesterling Angus, IN herd. We have high expectations for the udder integrity and maternal production our True North daughters will have and this female has the additional backing through the bottom side of her pedigree to help live out those expectations.

Really a neat combination of proven maternal strength and strong performance in this Tahoe daughter. A heavy weaning, big ribeye heifer she offers extra length, and a very trim and attractive look through her head and neck. Her dam is a big bodied, power female, who traces back to our Vermilion donor, Lass 0045. Part of a really good flush, 084 and her ET siblings are some of the real good cows in our herd, including the dam of Lot 21, the high-indexing bull at weaning in this year ’s bull calf crop. Lots of potential for a very quality udder and added production in this royally bred Tahoe daughter.

Sweetheart of a female sired by Tahoe to round out this years registered heifer offering.
