CONTINUE TO CONVERSE
BY MR. JARED
A CONVERSATION Interculturalism can be summarized in one word: a conversation. This week, we have had an extensive conversation about our individual and group beliefs, values, interests and misconceptions, among other things. There is no greater activity that will progress yourself individually and society forward than to continue the conversation. The moment we hunker down into our own tribe is the moment we lose. As we've all learned this week, culture is shared and learned and by doing so we continue to converse. Continue to converse through song, through food, through clothing. Continue to learn and share through art, games, values, stories, laughter and action. Continue even if it gets uncomfortable. Don't ever be afraid to continue the conversation.

HOW TO: PHOTOGRAPHY BY RYAN TRISTAN HARIYANTO
Have you ever wanted to take just a stunning picture? Have you ever wanted to tell a story with a photo? This article will help you. Here are some basics:
APERTURE Aperture is the amount of light open to the sensor. A camera (mirrorless) works like so: Light goes into the lens, the lens shape the light, the light gets adjusted by the aperture, and the light finally hits the sensor. The aperture is written and said as, for example, f1.7. The higher the number is, the less light hits the sensor. Also, the lower the number is, the more blur is produced between the foreground and background.
SHUTTER SPEED Shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter is open. On DSLR’s, there is a mirror that redirects the light from the sensor to the viewfinder for the user to see. The longer the sensor is exposed, the brighter the image will be. Shutter speed is what controls the blur, because the shorter the time the shutter is open, the more moving blur will be present on the image. Shutter speed is capable to take a photo in the dark without really losing quality.

ISO ISO is the amount of grain in a picture. The higher the ISO, the higher the amount of grain on the image. The uses of ISO include: taking pictures in the dark without wanting blur. The higher the ISO, the higher the amount of light is in picture. Sacrificing quality for light and less blur, ISO can be a useful tool for some night photos.
LENSES Lenses dictate many things of the picture. Although a good camera is helpful, a good lens and a decent camera is better than an expensive camera and a bad lens. Lenses dictate the amount of zoom and the blur between the foreground and background. Personally, I love using a 50mm lens because of the decent versatility and the blurring of the subject.
MANUAL Manual mode is essential for photographers. Manual mode controls all, and many things can be adjusted. For me, it is similar to editing on-the-spot. It can control how good a picture looks.
