Pon Papua is a national-level sports event that is hosted in Papua.

The 2021 PON Papua started back on October 2 and is planned to end on 15. This year there are 28 different sports events involving basketball, volleyball, soccer, Taekwondo, badminton, and many more.

Athletes from all around Indonesia are invited to join and represent their hometowns. Some of those are from West Java, East Java,Bali, Lampung, and all other provinces in Indonesia. As this event is still held during the Covid-19 pandemic, few people have been infected by the virus. But overall, the event is still running smoothly. With a similar system to the Olympics, each province is collecting as many medals as possible, and as of Friday, 6 October in the current lead is West Java within 149 medals. But who knows who will take that first place spot from them.

For all the people out there who enjoy playing games, watching pros play games or even both. I’m sure you guys have heard about the Valorant Masters in Berlin. Before the Berlin series, a Masters was played in Reykjavik, Iceland, where the team from NA with a roster of 5: ShahZam, Dapr, Sick, Zombs and Tenz won the Valorant Masters in Iceland. Unfortunately the reigning champs were not able to defend their title for the Berlin masters. Sentinels placed 6th out of 15 teams. They were knocked out of the championship run by team Envy. Team Envy proceeds to win every game after that except for the finals.

They came in 2nd, behind the champions Gambit.

There was a representative from SEA where Indonesian players went to Berlin and played against these top tier teams. The team PaperRex brings 2 Indonesian players known as “f0rsaken” and “mindfreak''. They performed well, with f0rsaken putting in a total of 88 kills throughout the whole tournament, and Mindfreak having a total of 58 kills throughout the whole tournament. Unfortunately they were not able to bring their team to victory.

The most kills throughout the whole tournament was done by the “nAts” from the champions team Gambit, with 276 kills throughout the whole tournament, which was very impressive. What do you guys think about the Berlin Masters?

FIFA comes out every single year with updated rosters, jerseys, and also many new features in the game. FIFA 22 now has hypermotion, this is an advanced motion capturing technique resulting in over 4,000 different animations in the game. EA, the game developers have also made it so that the players in the game move more realistically especially when approaching/receiving a ball. There will also be more goal celebrations added to the game. The overall gameplay will be more realistic and have smoother motions from the players' ingame. In the career mode, you can now make your own club, and there will also be an option where players can come in as a substitute and work their way up to starting players. Alex Scott will be commentating on the matches, and the transfer negotiations have been refreshed to add more drama and atmosphere to the players’ signing.

After US-led forces removed the Taliban from power in 2001, the group regained power over the country in August 2021. They were known to be rather brutal and enforced harsh rules.

On September 25, the Taliban reportedly hung a dead body in the main square of a city in Western Afghanistan named, Herat.

The Associated Press was informed that there were three other bodies being hanged the same way in other parts of the city.

The four people hanged turns out to be kidnappers who were caught by the police. Ziaulhaq Jalali, one of the Taliban approved district police officers stated that the Taliban members rescued a father and son after they were attempted to be abducted by the four people.

He mentioned that one of the Taliban members and another civilian was injured by these four people and that the kidnappers were killed in crossfire afterwards. A Taliban commander stated that the motive of hanging their bodies in public was to, “alert all criminals that they were not safe.”

As humans, we are varied in numerous ways from the way we think, feel, and behave. Those traits are what make each one of us unique. Inevitably, there are times when we feel strong emotions, have intrusive thoughts, or behave inappropriately as those are the customs. However, when those traits emerge frequently and start bringing complications to our life, we should be concerned. That condition is referred to as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

BPD is a common mental health issue in which an individual has difficulties regulating their emotions and thoughts. An individual with BPD tends to have an acute emotional response when they face a stressful situation. Additionally, they will have a more difficult time stabilizing their emotions after such an experience. They also tend to have an overwhelming fear of being abandoned. The lack of ability to control these emotions and thoughts causes them to behave in a way that can bring complications to their everyday life. Generally, the complications include self-image issues, impulsivity, job losses, and unstable relationships. There also have been times when these issues lead to self-harm.

Other symptoms of BPD include: Suicidal ideation and attempts Feeling empty Dissociation from thoughts, sense of identity, or body.

Avoiding peers and family members to prevent being abandoned.

Uncontrollable anger; often followed by remorse.

Brief psychotic episodes; hearing voices or noises when stressed.

Despite the list of symptoms, there is no medical test specified to diagnose BPD. The diagnosis for BPD is usually conducted by a mental health professional by following several procedures, such as clinical interviews and reviewing previous medical evaluations.

Similar to many psychological disorders, the causes of BPD are not definite ones. However, several factors that may play a role are: - Genetic While there has not been a gene specified to BPD, researchers have suggested that an individual would be more vulnerable to BPD if a close relative had lived with BPD. - Environmental factors Some environmental factors may play a role in the onset of BPD. Any forms of abuse (i.e physical, emotional, sexual, etc.) during childhood Parental neglection Growing up with an individual who had a serious mental health disorder.

Fortunately, we are living in an era where psychological issues are more addressed. Through such progression, there have been a couple of methods that are effective in treating BPD. Normally, BPD is treated through psychotherapy, but medications are added if need be.

There are plenty of types of psychotherapies that can be effective in treating BPD: - One of the types is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). It includes group and individual therapies that use a skill-based approach to nurture them to regulate their emotions, train their stress tolerance, and improve relationships.

- Another effective type is Schema-focused therapy. This type can be done individually or in a group. It aims to help them to learn how to meet their needs healthily to establish positive life patterns.

- Apart from those two, there is Mentalization-based therapy (MBT). This therapy encourages them to identify their thoughts and feelings and generate an alternate perspective of the situation. Doing this allows them to have the habit of thinking before reacting.

As for medications, none are specified to treat BPD, but some can help ease the symptoms.

These include antidepressants, antipsychotics, or mood-stabilizing drugs.

It is such a mundane thing for us, humans, to seek attention from others. To begin with, we are social beings who need the attention of others. So, it is certainly understandable for us to seek attention at times. Nevertheless, some individuals become excessively invested in seeking attention. This condition is called Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) While the term narcissist is used commonly in society, most people may be unaware that narcissism is a serious disorder. NPD is a personality disorder in which the individual views themself highly. Along with that, they also have intense demand for attention and admiration from the people around them. When their demands are not satisfied, they become unhappy and disappointed. NPD can bring complications to many areas of one’s life such as in their relationships, work, and school.

Other symptoms of NPD may include: Exaggerating achievements and talents Continuously feeling unfulfilled with relationships Manipulating others by taking advantage of them Being arrogant Reacting negatively to criticisms; become enraged.

Having an inability and/or unwillingness to sympathize Expecting to be treated special Insisting on getting the best of everything such as the best gadgets, car, office, etc.

Just like any other personality disorder, the causes are not definitive.

Nonetheless, here are some factors that may be linked to NPD. - Any form of childhood trauma(s), such as physical abuse.

- Unrealistic expectations from parents.

- Genetics

While there are treatments that can help treat this disorder, it is uncommon for someone with NPD to reach out. Those who seek treatment, usually, are the ones who have developed depressive symptoms or other mental health problems due to their NPD. Consequently, early detection of NPD is unlikely.

Even so, psychotherapy has been effective in treating NPD. Medications are also prescribed when the individual has developed depression or another mental health condition alongside NPD. During psychotherapy, they are encouraged to learn how to sympathize and relate better with others.

Aside from that, psychotherapy helps them discern the causes of the emotions that drive them to compete and distrust others. Psychotherapy also encourages them to learn how to be more responsible.

An individual with NPD is more likely to feel defensive about the treatment or thinking it is useless. So, they have to continuously ensure themselves to be open-minded as commitment to the treatment is essential.
