Our adored supermodel, Gigi Hadid, was reportedly pregnant with her first baby. The father of the child is a proud former band member of One Direction, Zayn Malik. Back in April, Gigi confirmed her pregnancy, though she thought that it wasn’t something important to share. “But I'm pregnant through a pandemic.

Obviously, my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world. That’s the reason that I’ve felt that it’s not really something that I need to share, apart from with my family and friends," she stated on an Instagram live video. According to an insider, she was excited and happy to be a mother, especially with Zayn by her side. During her pregnancy, she has posted some beautiful pictures of her, and her baby bump. On September 23, 2020, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik finally welcomed their baby girl to the world. Zayn Malik Tweeted a picture of him holding his daughter’s hand.

TikTok star Addison Rae accepting Harry Styles' Billboard Award Fans have been furious that they couldn’t see their beloved artist, Harry Styles, at the Billboard Awards on October 15, 2020. It was said that he could not travel to Los Angeles due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. So, on the special night, TikTok star Addison Rae accepted the award on his behalf. Addison Rae was chosen to present the award, in which she awkwardly forgot to open the envelope before announcing the winner. When announcing Harry Styles as the winner, she stated, “Harry Styles is unable to be here tonight so we accept this award on his behalf,” according to hitc.com.

Harry Styles’ fans were jealous and many of them reacted on Twitter.

Some even started ‘shipping’ the two together.

In a Youtube video for Glamour, Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge, two stars from the new rising movie “Enola Holmes,” were caught having fun in their conversations. It is known that many fans have been fangirling over Louis Partridge over social media. But now, many suspect that Louis’ heart is already taken. In the Youtube video, in the middle of their conversations, Louis stated, “I got the anniversary gift from your girlfriend because you forgot.” When he realized what she just said, he got really embarrassed and continued to say, “I did not think this ought to come out to the theme.” It isn’t official that he is dating, and fans are still showing him their love and support.

The trapped life of pop singer, Britney Spears, has led her fans in starting a movement to give her freedom from her legal conservatorship. After suffering several mental problems, the singer was put under legal conservatorship in 2008. She wasn’t allowed to get married, have children, vote, drive her own car or even spend her own money.

As fans started to recently notice her “dropping hints” through her social media posts that she needed help, they started movements to help give Britney the freedom she wanted. One example of her “dropping hints” was when a fan commented on one of her posts saying, “If you need help, wear yellow in your next video.” That was exactly what she did.

Some people would wonder, what is a conservatorship and why is Britney under it? A conservatorship is when a court judge appoints a person or a group of people (the conservator) to care for another adult (the conservatee) who aren’t capable of caring for his/herself. In certain areas, like where Britney Spears is currently living in, there are two types of conservators. The first one is someone who takes control over the conservatee’s mental and physical health, and the second one is the one who takes care of the individual’s finances. In this case, Britney has both, which one being her father, Jamie Spears, and the other is Andrew Wallet.

During 2008, there were several records of Britney Spears experiencing mental breakdowns. Once, police officers and an ambulance took her away after her 3-hour custody standoff on January 3, 2008. After going in and out of hospitals, Britney Spears was put under conservatorship in the same year.

Moving on to the next year, 2009, people slowly started to wonder whether Britney’s conservatorship was really necessary. Her father first ordered the conservatorship to be temporary, but then made it permanent instead, after a few months. Permanent conservatorships were known to be for people with mental health issues like dementia. People started questioning on why Britney Spears was still working even though she was claimed to have severe mental issues. In the 12-year conservatorship, she released 4 albums, done 3 worldwide tours and was a judge at the show, X - Factor.

In January 2019, Britney’s father put her in a mental health facility for three months, just because she went out with her boyfriend without permission and refused to take her sedating medications. After the information was leaked to the press, the “Free Britney Movement” picked up quickly. Other than thousands of people posting the “Free Britney Movement” on social media like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, others have also gone out to public places and started “Free Britney” protests.

Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears also has started to support the “Free Britney Movement”, after she agreed that she was being trapped by her controlling father and (conservatorship) team. She was seen liking and commenting on “Free Britney Movement” posts on social media. Moreover, people started petitions aimed to let Britney live her own life which was signed by over 185,000 people.

As her conservatorship team continues to try to stop the movement and convince the crowd that it was for her own good, Britney appears to be endorsing herself into this public movement. Let’s hope that whatever happens next, would be the best for Britney.

Celebrities Updates - Paris Hilton The Documentary: This is Paris (Youtube Originals) In the documentary, Hilton talks about a boarding school that she attended in Utah, the Provo Canyon School, at 17 years old. She claims that the school had abused her both mentally and physically, describing the institution as a prison. Hilton mentions that the staff there would physically beat her, force her to take unknown pills, watch her shower, and send her to solitary confinement without any clothes as a form of punishment. “It’s something so traumatic that you don’t even want to think it’s real. It’s something I blocked from my memory for forever,” said Hilton. Throughout her teenage years, Hilton was sent to various programs for discipline purposes as her parents viewed her nightlife scene in New York extremely concerning. However, Hilton mentioned that the Provo Canyon School was, “the worst of the worst,'' amongst those discipline boarding schools.

She escaped after 11 months of being there and said that she had nightmares and insomnia for so many years afterwards. Up until this point, owners of the school have not made any comments regarding the issue, including during Hilton’s time there. Hilton is now determined to push forward until all schools that mistreat youth are shut down. She has made it her life’s mission to make sure that no more youths have to experience the same things she went through as a teenager.

Hilton made the movement #BreakingCodeSilence a viral one, a movement initially organized by “troubled teens” who were sent to boarding schools/ discipline programs like the Provo Canyon School in Utah. Although it has not been easy for her, Hilton has spoken her truth and wishes for other survivors to have the same courage to speak up.

She has also led a protest with a poster, “Shut down Provo,” to the gates of Provo Canyon, marching with many others. Hilton mentions that there are thousands of schools like Provo who mistreat teenagers and the youth, and with Provo being the first one shut down, she says that it simply will be a domino effect from there.

a Rising Multiplayer Game Bored playing the same games during quarantine? Don’t worry, I got you covered. If you haven’t heard about it, “Among Us” is a new and popular game that allows you and your friends to play online from wherever you are. Emerging around mid-September, the game has been trending on social media, especially Youtube and TikTok. Fun fact: Did you know that Among Us was actually created back in 2018, by an indie game company? It was not really well known at the time, but just by the summer of the pandemic, the game has turned into a hit, with famous YouTubers, TikTok stars, and influencers, playing the game.

The game is pretty simple, similar to the game, Werewolf, but with only 2 roles. 1-3 people can become the “Imposter,” whose role is to kill people without getting caught. The rest of the players become “Crewmates”, whose role is to finish all the given tasks. You can play in 3 different maps with only 10 people per game.

Once you start playing, remember not to get too attached, you still have to focus on your school work and still have other things to do too in your life! :)

Conspiracy Theory Unsolved Mystery Theory & &Unsolved By: Ruth Everyday, new cases are coming out. Investigators try to uncover the background and deeper truth behind those cases, only to reach a dead end. They are unsolvable cases with unusual situations; mysteries that cannot unfold. Here are some old and new supernatural and unsolved mysteries:

Living Statuses From 1917 to 1928, there was a mysterious disease called Encephalitis Lethargica (EL) that infected half a million people. Those infected were in a state of ghastly conditions to the point that they can be a part of a horror film plot line. The victims were alive and conscious, but were unable to move as they were in an inexplicable frozen state. It was as if their bodies were a prison for their minds.

It first appeared in Europe but immediately began to spread like wildfire around the world, claiming victims in North America, Europe, and India by 1919. About a third of those that contracted the illness died. Meanwhile, nearly half of the survivors found themselves unable to physically interact with the world around them though they were fully aware of their surroundings (e.g. limited speech, limited eye motion, and other problems in movement or control over their body).

The cause of this disease is still unknown. In one theory, it was suspected that the cause was because of brain inflammation that was triggered by a rare strain of streptococcus, the bacteria responsible for many sore throats cases. Scientists’ best explanation is that the bacteria mutated and provoked the immune system to attack the brain, leaving the victims helpless.

The disease disappeared only to resurface sporadically. There were cases reported in Europe in the 1950s and in China when a 12-year-old girl was hospitalised for five weeks with the disease.

In 2004, an analysis of 20 patients with symptoms similar to EL concluded that whatever infected the patients “is still prevalent.” This sickness remains a nightmare and a mystery. Was it caused by sore throats or was something else? We don’t know yet.

Where are the Sodder Children?

During the night before Christmas in 1945, a fire broke out. Five out of ten of the Sodder children were alive and accounted for. However, the other five seemed to have vanished into thin air. In the ruins of the fire, there was no evidence that the children could be found.

Something was fishy about the event that night. After half of the family were out of the fire, George, their father, tried to save the children who he believed were trapped inside by using his coal truck that strangely suddenly became inoperable. The phone lines to the house were found to have been cut and a woman claimed to have seen all the missing children peering from a passing car while the fire was raging. Four to five weeks after the fire, a woman at a Charleston Hotel also reportedly saw the children.

“The children were accompanied by two women and two men, all of the Italian extraction… I tried to talk to the children in a friendly manner, but the men appeared hostile… and wouldn’t allow it,” she stated.

From the 1950s until Jennie Sodder’s death in the late 1980s, the Sodder family maintained a billboard on State Route 16, with pictures of their five missing children and offering a reward for information. The last known surviving Sodder child, Sylvia, doesn’t believe that her siblings perished in the fire. She believes that there is something else to it.

Did they die in the fire? Were they kidnapped during the incident? Did someone want the family dead? Was it the mafia? Or did the parents plan it all along? For now, this mystery remains

OMNIBUS LAW The New Omnibus OMNIBUS LAW OMNIBUS LA Law bill in OMNIBUS LAW OMNIBUS LA by: Eginhard Jauwena Indonesia OMNIBUS LA Many of you have probably heard about the recent demonstrations about the Omnibus Law, but have you ever wondered what it was all about?

For those of you that are not familiar with the facts and events surrounding the Omnibus Law, here is a short summary of what has happened and why it has been considered as an issue.

The Omnibus Law was created by the Government of Indonesia to amend various aspects of the law, specifically on job creations. The government has created it with the aim to help improve Indonesia’s economy, in which the government has tried to ease restrictions regarding the economic activities of the country, in order to encourage local and foreign firms to continue to invest in Indonesia’s economy.

According to an article by JakartaPost, the Omnibus Law applied on job creations will create benefits for Indonesia. Not only will it create flexibility in the market, it will also improve Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global scale. Some foreign firms can as well have an alternative choice to move to Indonesia for their “trade routes”. Many firms have moved away from China due to the rising labor costs and politics involving trade tensions with the USA, which has made many firms move to Indonesia. In the author’s argument, the Omnibus Law may ease restrictions of businesses coming into Indonesia and thus can contribute well for Indonesia’s economy.

OMNIBUS LA However, issues of worker’s rights are put into question with the new bill. Many of the new amendments have deleted rights regarding labor. One of them includes the contracts of laborers to their businesses, located in Article 59. In the new passed bill, the law surrounding the contract duration and condition of laborers to their businesses have been deleted. This has caused questions regarding workers' rights and businesses being able to exploit their workers, which could lead to unethical practices by the business owners themselves.

Some other issues that have risen regarding the Omnibus Law are on the topic of wages and holidays. In Article 88 of the constitution, few aspects on the topic of wages have been removed. Some of these include the right to take time off work, the pay towards an employee when they leave their employer, and wages for calculating income tax. On the other hand, in Article 79, a few aspects of a worker’s rights to leave or have a holiday from work have been cut. A major aspect of this is the removal of a worker’s rights to have a two day holiday every week.

With the recent demonstrations that happened, it is understandable why some workers felt exploited. However, it is also understandable for the government to focus on the economy during these times, due to the pandemic. Let us hope that both the workers and the government of Indonesia can reach a peaceful solution regarding the new bill that has been passed.

A South Korean went on a One-Way Trip to North Korea On the 25th September, a rare occurrence happened, where a South Korean official was killed by the North Korean government. South Korea mentioned that a 47-year-old South Korean man was found dead in North Korea’s waters. According to the South Korean intelligence, the man was shot dead, and his body was set on fire because they were afraid the man had COVID-19, a virus that wouldn’t survive in hot temperatures.

Because of the coronavirus and North Korea’s stern policies on COVID-19, the North Korean government made a policy to shoot and kill the people who were infected by COVID-19. This is also one of the reasons why there are no COVID-19 cases reported in North Korea. And even though the North Korean government did this for safety reasons, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un apologized to South Korea’s President, Moon Jae-in, telling him that he was very sorry and that the disgraceful act should not have happened.

Many South Koreans were shocked and outraged by the incident that happened because of past brutal killings by North Koreans to the people in their border.

South Korean citizens also wanted the patrols who murdered the man to be punished as their actions were unjust.

South Korea’s National Security Council mentioned that the man did not show any signs of aggression or resistance to the North Korean patrols and that their actions weren’t justified.

Why did the South korean man do this? What happenedt to him?

According to South Korean media, the man recently divorced and had financial problems. He then decided to go to North Korea. The North Korean patrol boat, filled with North Korean patrols using gas masks for safety from the coronavirus, found the man in a life jacket and questioned him. However, after they questioned the man, South Korean intelligence mentioned that the patrols received an order from a superior authority to kill the man. The man was shot and was then set on fire on the sea.

Has this happened before?

Many incidents like South Koreans getting killed in the borders of North Korea happen quite often. For example, the North Korean military sank a South Korean warship in 2010, where 46 South Korean sailors died. Despite the deaths, North Korea refused to apologize for their actions. However, what was rare from this incident was that Kim Jong Un apologized for the acts that his soldiers have done to the South Korean man.

DONALD TRUMP's experience with

COVID-19

As cases of Covid-19 continue to increase rapidly, some countries have already started carrying out regular daily activities. However, most countries are still struggling to fight this contagious virus. The United States has eight million confirmed Covid-19 cases, with one of them being Donald Trump, the US President.

Donald Trump, the 45th US President and First Lady Melania tested positive for Covid-19 on the 2nd of October, after Hope Hicks, the former White House Communications Director tested positive for Covid 19. Trump and the First lady were tested as they have been travelling together for the past week. After the test results came out, Trump stated in a tweet, “Tonight, @FLOTUS (First Lady Melania) and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!�

During that same week, Hope Hicks also accompanied Trump during the presidential debate on September 29, and his rally on September 30 when she reported feeling unwell. Trump and the first lady quarantined in the White House and were treated by Dr. Sean P. Conley. He stated that neither Trump, nor the first lady, were showing severe symptoms.

Trump was then sent to Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre to get treatment for his Covid infection.

Amazingly, he left the hospital only 3 days after being tested positive. Trump’s condition shocked many health experts, which led to many people believing that it was simply because he received the best medical treatment, since he is the president after all. Before being discharged, the White House doctor gave a report on Trump’s condition. claiming that there were no signs of the virus present. He also claimed that he met all the standard hospital discharge criteria, since he has not had a fever in the last 72 hours and showed that his breathing capacity was normal.

However, certain health experts still remain concerned about his actual conditions as they’ve noticed that Trump was given a steroid called dexamethasone, a medication used to treat severe Covid 19 cases. This made Dr. Thomas McGinn, a deputy physician, wonder.

He said, “He was actually sicker than what audiences have been hearing, or the medical team was being aggressive (with the medication) because he is president!” Others who were with Trump in the White House also started to send mixed messages about Trump’s actual condition. One would say that he was still doing well as said by the medical team, and another reported that the President’s condition was actually critical. However, Dr. Sean P. Conley claimed that he didn’t give much information on Trump’s situation because it might steer the course of illness in another direction.

Since Covid 19 is now spreading like wildfire and Trump has tested positive for the virus, he was forced to withdraw from the campaign, at least temporarily which is why the presidential elections ran on November 3, 2020. As of October 19, there were a total of 1224 candidates running for president in 2020. This included 324 Democrats, 164 Republicans, 65 Libertarians, 23 Green Candidates. Trump’s illness was also said to upend his re-election campaign against Joe Biden, one of Trump’s biggest competitors. Check out sources online about the presidential election results!
